Moreover take thou up|strong="H5375" a lamentation|strong="H7015" for the princes|strong="H5387" of Israel|strong="H3478",
And say|strong="H0559", What is thy mother|strong="H0517"? A lioness|strong="H3833": she lay down|strong="H7257" among lions|strong="H0738", she nourished|strong="H7235" her whelps|strong="H1482" among|strong="H8432" young lions|strong="H3715".
And she brought up|strong="H5927" one|strong="H0259" of her whelps|strong="H1482": it became a young lion|strong="H3715", and it learned|strong="H3925" to catch|strong="H2963" the prey|strong="H2964"; it devoured|strong="H0398" men|strong="H0120".
The nations|strong="H1471" also heard|strong="H8085" of him; he was taken|strong="H8610" in their pit|strong="H7845", and they brought|strong="H0935" him with chains|strong="H2397" unto the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714".
Now when she saw|strong="H7200" that she had waited|strong="H3176", and her hope|strong="H8615" was lost|strong="H0006", then she took|strong="H3947" another|strong="H0259" of her whelps|strong="H1482", and made|strong="H7760" him a young lion|strong="H3715".
And he went up and down|strong="H1980" among|strong="H8432" the lions|strong="H0738", he became a young lion|strong="H3715", and learned|strong="H3925" to catch|strong="H2963" the prey|strong="H2964", and devoured|strong="H0398" men|strong="H0120".
And he knew|strong="H3045" their desolate palaces|strong="H0490", and he laid waste|strong="H2717" their cities|strong="H5892"; and the land|strong="H0776" was desolate|strong="H3456", and the fulness|strong="H4393" thereof, by the noise|strong="H6963" of his roaring|strong="H7581".
Then the nations|strong="H1471" set|strong="H5414" against him on every side|strong="H5439" from the provinces|strong="H4082", and spread|strong="H6566" their net|strong="H7568" over him: he was taken|strong="H8610" in their pit|strong="H7845".
And they put|strong="H5414" him in ward|strong="H5474" in chains|strong="H2397", and brought|strong="H0935" him to the king|strong="H4428" of Babylon|strong="H0894": they brought|strong="H0935" him into holds|strong="H4685", that his voice|strong="H6963" should no more be heard|strong="H8085" upon the mountains|strong="H2022" of Israel|strong="H3478".
Thy mother|strong="H0517" is like a vine|strong="H1612" in thy blood|strong="H1818", planted|strong="H8362" by the waters|strong="H4325": she was fruitful|strong="H6509" and full of branches|strong="H6058" by reason of many|strong="H7227" waters|strong="H4325".
And she had strong|strong="H5797" rods|strong="H4294" for the sceptres|strong="H7626" of them that bare rule|strong="H4910", and her stature|strong="H6967" was exalted|strong="H1361" among the thick branches|strong="H5688", and she appeared|strong="H7200" in her height|strong="H1363" with the multitude|strong="H7230" of her branches|strong="H1808".
But she was plucked up|strong="H5428" in fury|strong="H2534", she was cast down|strong="H7993" to the ground|strong="H0776", and the east|strong="H6921" wind|strong="H7307" dried up|strong="H3001" her fruit|strong="H6529": her strong|strong="H5797" rods|strong="H4294" were broken|strong="H6561" and withered|strong="H3001"; the fire|strong="H0784" consumed|strong="H0398" them.
And now she is planted|strong="H8362" in the wilderness|strong="H4057", in a dry|strong="H6723" and thirsty|strong="H6772" ground|strong="H0776".
And fire|strong="H0784" is gone out|strong="H3318" of a rod|strong="H4294" of her branches|strong="H0905", which hath devoured|strong="H0398" her fruit|strong="H6529", so that she hath no strong|strong="H5797" rod|strong="H4294" to be a sceptre|strong="H7626" to rule|strong="H4910". This is a lamentation|strong="H7015", and shall be for a lamentation|strong="H7015".
