King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

If a thief|strong="H1590" be found|strong="H4672" breaking up|strong="H4290", and be smitten|strong="H5221" that he die|strong="H4191", there shall no blood|strong="H1818" be shed for him.

If the sun|strong="H8121" be risen|strong="H2224" upon him, there shall be blood|strong="H1818" shed for him; for he should make full|strong="H7999" restitution|strong="H7999"; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold|strong="H4376" for his theft|strong="H1591".

If the theft|strong="H1591" be certainly|strong="H4672" found|strong="H4672" in his hand|strong="H3027" alive|strong="H2416", whether it be ox|strong="H7794", or ass|strong="H2543", or sheep|strong="H7716"; he shall restore|strong="H7999" double|strong="H8147".

If a man|strong="H0376" shall cause a field|strong="H7704" or vineyard|strong="H3754" to be eaten|strong="H1197", and shall put|strong="H7971" in his beast|strong="H1165", and shall feed|strong="H1197" in another man’s|strong="H0312" field|strong="H7704"; of the best|strong="H4315" of his own field|strong="H7704", and of the best|strong="H4315" of his own vineyard|strong="H3754", shall he make restitution|strong="H7999".

If fire|strong="H0784" break out|strong="H3318", and catch|strong="H4672" in thorns|strong="H6975", so that the stacks of corn|strong="H1430", or the standing corn|strong="H7054", or the field|strong="H7704", be consumed|strong="H0398" therewith; he that kindled|strong="H1197" the fire|strong="H1200" shall surely|strong="H7999" make restitution|strong="H7999".

If a man|strong="H0376" shall deliver|strong="H5414" unto his neighbour|strong="H7453" money|strong="H3701" or stuff|strong="H3627" to keep|strong="H8104", and it be stolen|strong="H1589" out of the man’s|strong="H0376" house|strong="H1004"; if the thief|strong="H1590" be found|strong="H4672", let him pay|strong="H7999" double|strong="H8147".

If the thief|strong="H1590" be not|strong="H3808" found|strong="H4672", then the master|strong="H1167" of the house|strong="H1004" shall be brought|strong="H7126" unto the judges|strong="H0430", to see whether he have put|strong="H7971" his hand|strong="H3027" unto his neighbour’s|strong="H7453" goods|strong="H4399".

For all manner|strong="H1697" of trespass|strong="H6588", whether it be for ox|strong="H7794", for ass|strong="H2543", for sheep|strong="H7716", for raiment|strong="H8008", or for any manner of lost thing|strong="H0009", which another challengeth|strong="H0559" to be his, the cause|strong="H1697" of both parties|strong="H8147" shall come|strong="H0935" before the judges|strong="H0430"; and whom the judges|strong="H0430" shall condemn|strong="H7561", he shall pay|strong="H7999" double|strong="H8147" unto his neighbour|strong="H7453".

If a man|strong="H0376" deliver|strong="H5414" unto his neighbour|strong="H7453" an ass|strong="H2543", or an ox|strong="H7794", or a sheep|strong="H7716", or any beast|strong="H0929", to keep|strong="H8104"; and it die|strong="H4191", or be hurt|strong="H7665", or driven away|strong="H7617", no man seeing|strong="H7200" it:

Then shall an oath|strong="H7621" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* be between them both|strong="H8147", that he hath not put|strong="H7971" his hand|strong="H3027" unto his neighbour’s|strong="H7453" goods|strong="H4399"; and the owner|strong="H1167" of it shall accept|strong="H3947" thereof, and he shall not make it good|strong="H7999".

And if it be stolen|strong="H1589" from him, he shall make restitution|strong="H7999" unto the owner|strong="H1167" thereof.

If it be torn in pieces|strong="H2963", then let him bring|strong="H0935" it for witness|strong="H5707", and he shall not make good|strong="H7999" that which was torn|strong="H2966".

And if a man|strong="H0376" borrow|strong="H7592" ought of his neighbour|strong="H7453", and it be hurt|strong="H7665", or die|strong="H4191", the owner|strong="H1167" thereof being not with it|strong="H5973", he shall surely|strong="H7999" make it good|strong="H7999".

But if the owner|strong="H1167" thereof be with it, he shall not make it good|strong="H7999": if it be an hired|strong="H7916" thing, it came|strong="H0935" for his hire|strong="H7939".

And if a man|strong="H0376" entice|strong="H6601" a maid|strong="H1330" that is not betrothed|strong="H0781", and lie|strong="H7901" with her, he shall surely|strong="H4117" endow|strong="H4117" her to be his wife|strong="H0802".

If her father|strong="H0001" utterly|strong="H3985" refuse|strong="H3985" to give|strong="H5414" her unto him, he shall pay|strong="H8254" money|strong="H3701" according to the dowry|strong="H4119" of virgins|strong="H1330".

Thou shalt not suffer a witch|strong="H3784" to live|strong="H2421".

Whosoever lieth|strong="H7901" with a beast|strong="H0929" shall surely|strong="H4191" be put to death|strong="H4191".

He that sacrificeth|strong="H2076" unto any god|strong="H0430", save|strong="H1115" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* only, he shall be utterly destroyed|strong="H2763".

Thou shalt neither vex|strong="H3238" a stranger|strong="H1616", nor oppress|strong="H3905" him: for ye were strangers|strong="H1616" in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714".

Ye shall not afflict|strong="H6031" any widow|strong="H0490", or fatherless child|strong="H3490".

If|strong="H0518" thou afflict|strong="H6031" them in any wise|strong="H6031", and they cry|strong="H6817" at all|strong="H6817" unto me, I will surely|strong="H8085" hear|strong="H8085" their cry|strong="H6818";

And my wrath|strong="H0639" shall wax hot|strong="H2734", and I will kill|strong="H2026" you with the sword|strong="H2719"; and your wives|strong="H0802" shall be widows|strong="H0490", and your children|strong="H1121" fatherless|strong="H3490".

If thou lend|strong="H3867" money|strong="H3701" to any of my people|strong="H5971" that is poor|strong="H6041" by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer|strong="H5383", neither shalt thou lay|strong="H7760" upon him usury|strong="H5392".

If thou at all|strong="H2254" take|strong="H2254" thy neighbour’s|strong="H7453" raiment|strong="H8008" to pledge|strong="H2254", thou shalt deliver|strong="H7725" it unto him by|strong="H5704" that the sun|strong="H8121" goeth down|strong="H0935":

For that is his covering|strong="H3682" only, it is his raiment|strong="H8071" for his skin|strong="H5785": wherein shall he sleep|strong="H7901"? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth|strong="H6817" unto me, that I will hear|strong="H8085"; for I am gracious|strong="H2587".

Thou shalt not revile|strong="H7043" the gods|strong="H0430", nor curse|strong="H0779" the ruler|strong="H5387" of thy people|strong="H5971".

Thou shalt not delay|strong="H0309" to offer the first of thy ripe fruits|strong="H4395", and of thy liquors|strong="H1831": the firstborn|strong="H1060" of thy sons|strong="H1121" shalt thou give|strong="H5414" unto me.

Likewise|strong="H3651" shalt thou do|strong="H6213" with thine oxen|strong="H7794", and with thy sheep|strong="H6629": seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117" it shall be with his dam|strong="H0517"; on the eighth|strong="H8066" day|strong="H3117" thou shalt give|strong="H5414" it me.

And ye shall be holy|strong="H6944" men|strong="H0582" unto me: neither shall ye eat|strong="H0398" any flesh|strong="H1320" that is torn of beasts|strong="H2966" in the field|strong="H7704"; ye shall cast|strong="H7993" it to the dogs|strong="H3611".
