16 Then sent|strong="H7971" I for Eliezer|strong="H0461", for Ariel|strong="H0740", for Shemaiah|strong="H8098", and for Elnathan|strong="H0494", and for Jarib|strong="H3402", and for Elnathan|strong="H0494", and for Nathan|strong="H5416", and for Zechariah|strong="H2148", and for Meshullam|strong="H4918", chief men|strong="H7218"; also for Joiarib|strong="H3114", and for Elnathan|strong="H0494", men of understanding|strong="H0995".
17 And I sent|strong="H6680" them with commandment|strong="H3318" unto Iddo|strong="H0112" the chief|strong="H7218" at the place|strong="H4725" Casiphia|strong="H3703", and I told|strong="H7760" them what|strong="H1697" they should say|strong="H1696" unto Iddo|strong="H0112", and to his brethren|strong="H0251" the Nethinims|strong="H5411", at the place|strong="H4725" Casiphia|strong="H3703", that they should bring|strong="H0935" unto us ministers|strong="H8334" for the house|strong="H1004" of our God|strong="H0430".

21 Then I proclaimed|strong="H7121" a fast|strong="H6685" there, at the river|strong="H5104" of Ahava|strong="H0163", that we might afflict|strong="H6031" ourselves before|strong="H6440" our God|strong="H0430", to seek|strong="H1245" of him a right|strong="H3477" way|strong="H1870" for us, and for our little ones|strong="H2945", and for all our substance|strong="H7399".
22 For I was ashamed|strong="H0954" to require|strong="H7592" of the king|strong="H4428" a band of soldiers|strong="H2428" and horsemen|strong="H6571" to help|strong="H5826" us against the enemy|strong="H0341" in the way|strong="H1870": because we had spoken|strong="H0559" unto the king|strong="H4428", saying|strong="H0559", The hand|strong="H3027" of our God|strong="H0430" is upon all them for good|strong="H2896" that seek|strong="H1245" him; but his power|strong="H5797" and his wrath|strong="H0639" is against all them that forsake|strong="H5800" him.
23 So we fasted|strong="H6684" and besought|strong="H1245" our God|strong="H0430" for this: and he was intreated|strong="H6279" of us.
24 Then I separated|strong="H0914" twelve|strong="H8147" of the chief|strong="H8269" of the priests|strong="H3548", Sherebiah|strong="H8274", Hashabiah|strong="H2811", and ten|strong="H6235" of their brethren|strong="H0251" with them,
25 And weighed|strong="H8254" unto them the silver|strong="H3701", and the gold|strong="H2091", and the vessels|strong="H3627", even the offering|strong="H8641" of the house|strong="H1004" of our God|strong="H0430", which the king|strong="H4428", and his counsellors|strong="H3289", and his lords|strong="H8269", and all Israel|strong="H3478" there present|strong="H4672", had offered|strong="H7311":
26 I even weighed|strong="H8254" unto their hand|strong="H3027" six|strong="H8337" hundred|strong="H3967" and fifty|strong="H2572" talents|strong="H3603" of silver|strong="H3701", and silver|strong="H3701" vessels|strong="H3627" an hundred|strong="H3967" talents|strong="H3603", and of gold|strong="H2091" an hundred|strong="H3967" talents|strong="H3603";
27 Also twenty|strong="H6242" basons|strong="H3713" of gold|strong="H2091", of a thousand|strong="H0505" drams|strong="H0150"; and two|strong="H8147" vessels|strong="H3627" of fine|strong="H2896" copper|strong="H5178", precious|strong="H2532" as gold|strong="H2091".
28 And I said|strong="H0559" unto them, Ye are holy|strong="H6944" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; the vessels|strong="H3627" are holy|strong="H6944" also; and the silver|strong="H3701" and the gold|strong="H2091" are a freewill offering|strong="H5071" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of your fathers|strong="H0001".
29 Watch|strong="H8245" ye, and keep|strong="H8104" them, until ye weigh|strong="H8254" them before|strong="H6440" the chief|strong="H8269" of the priests|strong="H3548" and the Levites|strong="H3881", and chief|strong="H8269" of the fathers|strong="H0001" of Israel|strong="H3478", at Jerusalem|strong="H3389", in the chambers|strong="H3957" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
30 So took|strong="H6901" the priests|strong="H3548" and the Levites|strong="H3881" the weight|strong="H4948" of the silver|strong="H3701", and the gold|strong="H2091", and the vessels|strong="H3627", to bring|strong="H0935" them to Jerusalem|strong="H3389" unto the house|strong="H1004" of our God|strong="H0430".
31 Then we departed|strong="H5265" from the river|strong="H5104" of Ahava|strong="H0163" on the twelfth|strong="H8147" day of the first|strong="H7223" month|strong="H2320", to go|strong="H3212" unto Jerusalem|strong="H3389": and the hand|strong="H3027" of our God|strong="H0430" was upon us, and he delivered|strong="H5337" us from the hand|strong="H3709" of the enemy|strong="H0341", and of such as lay in wait|strong="H0693" by the way|strong="H1870".
32 And we came|strong="H0935" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and abode|strong="H3427" there three|strong="H7969" days|strong="H3117".
33 Now on the fourth|strong="H7243" day|strong="H3117" was the silver|strong="H3701" and the gold|strong="H2091" and the vessels|strong="H3627" weighed|strong="H8254" in the house|strong="H1004" of our God|strong="H0430" by the hand|strong="H3027" of Meremoth|strong="H4822" the son|strong="H1121" of Uriah|strong="H0223" the priest|strong="H3548"; and with him was Eleazar|strong="H0499" the son|strong="H1121" of Phinehas|strong="H6372"; and with them was Jozabad|strong="H3107" the son|strong="H1121" of Jeshua|strong="H3442", and Noadiah|strong="H5129" the son|strong="H1121" of Binnui|strong="H1131", Levites|strong="H3881";
34 By number|strong="H4557" and by weight|strong="H4948" of every one: and all the weight|strong="H4948" was written|strong="H3789" at that time|strong="H6256".
35 Also the children|strong="H1121" of those that had been carried away|strong="H1473", which were come out|strong="H0935" of the captivity|strong="H7628", offered|strong="H7126" burnt offerings|strong="H5930" unto the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478", twelve|strong="H8147" bullocks|strong="H6499" for all Israel|strong="H3478", ninety|strong="H8673" and six|strong="H8337" rams|strong="H0352", seventy|strong="H7657" and seven|strong="H7651" lambs|strong="H3532", twelve|strong="H8147" he goats|strong="H6842" for a sin offering|strong="H2403": all this was a burnt offering|strong="H5930" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
36 And they delivered|strong="H5414" the king’s|strong="H4428" commissions|strong="H1881" unto the king’s|strong="H4428" lieutenants|strong="H0323", and to the governors|strong="H6346" on this side|strong="H5676" the river|strong="H5104": and they furthered|strong="H5375" the people|strong="H5971", and the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430".
