When a man|strong="H0376" hath taken|strong="H3947" a wife|strong="H0802", and married|strong="H1166" her, and it come to pass that she find|strong="H4672" no favour|strong="H2580" in his eyes|strong="H5869", because he hath found|strong="H4672" some|strong="H1697" uncleanness|strong="H6172" in her: then let him write|strong="H3789" her a bill|strong="H5612" of divorcement|strong="H3748", and give|strong="H5414" it in her hand|strong="H3027", and send|strong="H7971" her out of his house|strong="H1004".
And when she is departed out|strong="H3318" of his house|strong="H1004", she may go|strong="H1980" and be another|strong="H0312" man’s|strong="H0376" wife.
And if the latter|strong="H0314" husband|strong="H0376" hate|strong="H8130" her, and write|strong="H3789" her a bill|strong="H5612" of divorcement|strong="H3748", and giveth|strong="H5414" it in her hand|strong="H3027", and sendeth|strong="H7971" her out of his house|strong="H1004"; or if the latter|strong="H0314" husband|strong="H0376" die|strong="H4191", which took|strong="H3947" her to be his wife|strong="H0802";
Her former|strong="H7223" husband|strong="H1167", which sent her away|strong="H7971", may|strong="H3201" not take|strong="H3947" her again|strong="H7725" to be his wife|strong="H0802", after|strong="H0310" that she is defiled|strong="H2930"; for that is abomination|strong="H8441" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: and thou shalt not cause the land|strong="H0776" to sin|strong="H2398", which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" giveth|strong="H5414" thee for an inheritance|strong="H5159".
When a man|strong="H0376" hath taken|strong="H3947" a new|strong="H2319" wife|strong="H0802", he shall not go out|strong="H3318" to war|strong="H6635", neither shall he be charged|strong="H5674" with any business|strong="H1697": but he shall be free|strong="H5355" at home|strong="H1004" one|strong="H0259" year|strong="H8141", and shall cheer up|strong="H8055" his wife|strong="H0802" which he hath taken|strong="H3947".
No man shall take|strong="H2254" the nether|strong="H7347" or the upper millstone|strong="H7393" to pledge|strong="H2254": for he taketh|strong="H2254" a man’s life|strong="H5315" to pledge|strong="H2254".
If a man|strong="H0376" be found|strong="H4672" stealing|strong="H1589" any|strong="H5315" of his brethren|strong="H0251" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", and maketh merchandise|strong="H6014" of him, or selleth|strong="H4376" him; then that thief|strong="H1590" shall die|strong="H4191"; and thou shalt put|strong="H1197" evil|strong="H7451" away|strong="H1197" from among|strong="H7130" you.
Take heed|strong="H8104" in the plague|strong="H5061" of leprosy|strong="H6883", that thou observe|strong="H8104" diligently|strong="H3966", and do|strong="H6213" according to all that the priests|strong="H3548" the Levites|strong="H3881" shall teach|strong="H3384" you: as I commanded|strong="H6680" them, so ye shall observe|strong="H8104" to do|strong="H6213".
Remember|strong="H2142" what the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" did|strong="H6213" unto Miriam|strong="H4813" by the way|strong="H1870", after that ye were come forth|strong="H3318" out of Egypt|strong="H4714".
When thou dost lend|strong="H5383" thy brother|strong="H7453" any|strong="H3972" thing|strong="H4859", thou shalt not go|strong="H0935" into his house|strong="H1004" to fetch|strong="H5670" his pledge|strong="H5667".
Thou shalt stand|strong="H5975" abroad|strong="H2351", and the man|strong="H0376" to whom thou dost lend|strong="H5383" shall bring out|strong="H3318" the pledge|strong="H5667" abroad|strong="H2351" unto thee.
And if the man|strong="H0376" be poor|strong="H6041", thou shalt not sleep|strong="H7901" with his pledge|strong="H5667":
In any case|strong="H7725" thou shalt deliver|strong="H7725" him the pledge|strong="H5667" again|strong="H7725" when the sun|strong="H8121" goeth down|strong="H0935", that he may sleep|strong="H7901" in his own raiment|strong="H8008", and bless|strong="H1288" thee: and it shall be righteousness|strong="H6666" unto thee before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430".
Thou shalt not oppress|strong="H6231" an hired servant|strong="H7916" that is poor|strong="H6041" and needy|strong="H0034", whether he be of thy brethren|strong="H0251", or of thy strangers|strong="H1616" that are in thy land|strong="H0776" within thy gates|strong="H8179":
At his day|strong="H3117" thou shalt give|strong="H5414" him his hire|strong="H7939", neither shall the sun|strong="H8121" go down|strong="H0935" upon it; for he is poor|strong="H6041", and setteth|strong="H5375" his heart|strong="H5315" upon it: lest he cry|strong="H7121" against thee unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and it be sin|strong="H2399" unto thee.
The fathers|strong="H0001" shall not be put to death|strong="H4191" for the children|strong="H1121", neither shall the children|strong="H1121" be put to death|strong="H4191" for the fathers|strong="H0001": every man|strong="H0376" shall be put to death|strong="H4191" for his own sin|strong="H2399".
Thou shalt not pervert|strong="H5186" the judgment|strong="H4941" of the stranger|strong="H1616", nor of the fatherless|strong="H3490"; nor take|strong="H2254" a widow’s|strong="H0490" raiment|strong="H0899" to pledge|strong="H2254":
But thou shalt remember|strong="H2142" that thou wast a bondman|strong="H5650" in Egypt|strong="H4714", and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" redeemed|strong="H6299" thee thence: therefore I command|strong="H6680" thee to do|strong="H6213" this thing|strong="H1697".
When thou cuttest down|strong="H7114" thine harvest|strong="H7105" in thy field|strong="H7704", and hast forgot|strong="H7911" a sheaf|strong="H6016" in the field|strong="H7704", thou shalt not go again|strong="H7725" to fetch|strong="H3947" it: it shall be for the stranger|strong="H1616", for the fatherless|strong="H3490", and for the widow|strong="H0490": that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" may bless|strong="H1288" thee in all the work|strong="H4639" of thine hands|strong="H3027".
When thou beatest|strong="H2251" thine olive tree|strong="H2132", thou shalt not go over the boughs|strong="H6286" again|strong="H0310": it shall be for the stranger|strong="H1616", for the fatherless|strong="H3490", and for the widow|strong="H0490".
When thou gatherest|strong="H1219" the grapes of thy vineyard|strong="H3754", thou shalt not glean|strong="H5953" it afterward|strong="H0310": it shall be for the stranger|strong="H1616", for the fatherless|strong="H3490", and for the widow|strong="H0490".
And thou shalt remember|strong="H2142" that thou wast a bondman|strong="H5650" in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714": therefore I command|strong="H6680" thee to do|strong="H6213" this thing|strong="H1697".
