Deuteronômio 25

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

If there be a controversy|strong="H7379" between men|strong="H0582", and they come|strong="H5066" unto judgment|strong="H4941", that the judges may judge|strong="H8199" them; then they shall justify|strong="H6663" the righteous|strong="H6662", and condemn|strong="H7561" the wicked|strong="H7563".

And it shall be, if the wicked man|strong="H7563" be worthy|strong="H1121" to be beaten|strong="H5221", that the judge|strong="H8199" shall cause him to lie down|strong="H5307", and to be beaten|strong="H5221" before his face|strong="H6440", according|strong="H1767" to his fault|strong="H7564", by a certain number|strong="H4557".

Forty|strong="H0705" stripes|strong="H5221" he may give him, and not exceed|strong="H3254": lest, if he should exceed|strong="H3254", and beat|strong="H5221" him above these with many|strong="H7227" stripes|strong="H4347", then thy brother|strong="H0251" should seem vile|strong="H7034" unto thee.

Thou shalt not muzzle|strong="H2629" the ox|strong="H7794" when he treadeth out|strong="H1778" the corn.

If brethren|strong="H0251" dwell|strong="H3427" together|strong="H3162", and one|strong="H0259" of them die|strong="H4191", and have no child|strong="H1121", the wife|strong="H0802" of the dead|strong="H4191" shall not marry without|strong="H2351" unto a stranger|strong="H0376": her husband’s brother|strong="H2993" shall go in|strong="H0935" unto her, and take|strong="H3947" her to him to wife|strong="H0802", and perform the duty of an husband’s brother|strong="H2992" unto her.

And it shall be, that the firstborn|strong="H1060" which she beareth|strong="H3205" shall succeed|strong="H6965" in the name|strong="H8034" of his brother|strong="H0251" which is dead|strong="H4191", that his name|strong="H8034" be not put out|strong="H4229" of Israel|strong="H3478".

And if the man|strong="H0376" like|strong="H2654" not to take|strong="H3947" his brother’s wife|strong="H2994", then let his brother’s wife|strong="H2994" go up|strong="H5927" to the gate|strong="H8179" unto the elders|strong="H2205", and say|strong="H0559", My husband’s brother|strong="H2993" refuseth|strong="H3985" to raise up|strong="H6965" unto his brother|strong="H0251" a name|strong="H8034" in Israel|strong="H3478", he will|strong="H0014" not perform the duty of my husband’s brother|strong="H2992".

Then the elders|strong="H2205" of his city|strong="H5892" shall call|strong="H7121" him, and speak|strong="H1696" unto him: and if he stand|strong="H5975" to it, and say|strong="H0559", I like|strong="H2654" not to take|strong="H3947" her;

Then shall his brother’s wife|strong="H2994" come|strong="H5066" unto him in the presence|strong="H5869" of the elders|strong="H2205", and loose|strong="H2502" his shoe|strong="H5275" from off his foot|strong="H7272", and spit|strong="H3417" in his face|strong="H6440", and shall answer|strong="H6030" and say|strong="H0559", So shall it be done|strong="H6213" unto that man|strong="H0376" that will not build up|strong="H1129" his brother’s|strong="H0251" house|strong="H1004".

And his name|strong="H8034" shall be called|strong="H7121" in Israel|strong="H3478", The house|strong="H1004" of him that hath his shoe|strong="H5275" loosed|strong="H2502".

When men|strong="H0582" strive|strong="H5327" together|strong="H3162" one with another|strong="H0251", and the wife|strong="H0802" of the one|strong="H0259" draweth near|strong="H7126" for to deliver|strong="H5337" her husband|strong="H0376" out of the hand|strong="H3027" of him that smiteth|strong="H5221" him, and putteth forth|strong="H7971" her hand|strong="H3027", and taketh|strong="H2388" him by the secrets|strong="H4016":

Then thou shalt cut off|strong="H7112" her hand|strong="H3709", thine eye|strong="H5869" shall not pity|strong="H2347" her.

Thou shalt not have in thy bag|strong="H3599" divers weights|strong="H0068", a great|strong="H1419" and a small|strong="H6996".

Thou shalt not have in thine house|strong="H1004" divers measures|strong="H0374", a great|strong="H1419" and a small|strong="H6996".

But thou shalt have a perfect|strong="H8003" and just|strong="H6664" weight|strong="H0068", a perfect|strong="H8003" and just|strong="H6664" measure|strong="H0374" shalt thou have: that thy days|strong="H3117" may be lengthened|strong="H0748" in the land|strong="H0127" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" giveth|strong="H5414" thee.

For all that do|strong="H6213" such things|strong="H0428", and all that do|strong="H6213" unrighteously|strong="H5766", are an abomination|strong="H8441" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430".

Remember|strong="H2142" what Amalek|strong="H6002" did|strong="H6213" unto thee by the way|strong="H1870", when ye were come forth|strong="H3318" out of Egypt|strong="H4714";

How he met|strong="H7136" thee by the way|strong="H1870", and smote the hindmost|strong="H2179" of thee, even all that were feeble|strong="H2826" behind|strong="H0310" thee, when thou wast faint|strong="H5889" and weary|strong="H3023"; and he feared|strong="H3373" not God|strong="H0430".

Therefore it shall be, when the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" hath given thee rest|strong="H5117" from all thine enemies|strong="H0341" round about|strong="H5439", in the land|strong="H0776" which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430" giveth|strong="H5414" thee for an inheritance|strong="H5159" to possess|strong="H3423" it, that thou shalt blot out|strong="H4229" the remembrance|strong="H2143" of Amalek|strong="H6002" from under heaven|strong="H8064"; thou shalt not forget|strong="H7911" it.
