2 Being grieved|strong="G1278" that|strong="G1223" they|strong="G0846" taught|strong="G1321" the people|strong="G2992", and|strong="G2532" preached|strong="G2605" through|strong="G1722" Jesus|strong="G2424" the resurrection|strong="G0386" from|strong="G1537" the dead|strong="G3498".
3 And|strong="G2532" they laid|strong="G1911" hands|strong="G5495" on them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" put|strong="G5087" them in|strong="G1519" hold|strong="G5084" unto|strong="G1519" the next day|strong="G0839": for|strong="G1063" it was|strong="G2258" now|strong="G2235" eventide|strong="G2073".
4 Howbeit|strong="G1161" many|strong="G4183" of them which heard|strong="G0191" the word|strong="G3056" believed|strong="G4100"; and|strong="G2532" the number|strong="G0706" of the men|strong="G0435" was|strong="G1096" about|strong="G5616" five|strong="G4002" thousand|strong="G5505".
5 And|strong="G1161" it came to pass|strong="G1096" on|strong="G1909" the morrow|strong="G0839", that|strong="G4863" their|strong="G0846" rulers|strong="G0758", and|strong="G2532" elders|strong="G4245", and|strong="G2532" scribes|strong="G1122",

7 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G2476" they|strong="G0846" had set|strong="G2476" them in|strong="G1722" the midst|strong="G3319", they asked|strong="G4441", By|strong="G1722" what|strong="G4169" power|strong="G1411", or|strong="G2228" by|strong="G1722" what|strong="G4169" name|strong="G3686", have|strong="G4160" ye|strong="G5210" done|strong="G4160" this|strong="G5124"?
8 Then|strong="G5119" Peter|strong="G4074", filled|strong="G4130" with the|strong="G4151" Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151", said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", Ye rulers|strong="G0758" of the people|strong="G2992", and|strong="G2532" elders|strong="G4245" of Israel|strong="G2474",
9 If|strong="G1487" we|strong="G2249" this day|strong="G4594" be examined|strong="G0350" of|strong="G1909" the good deed done|strong="G2108" to|strong="G0444" the impotent|strong="G0772" man|strong="G0444", by|strong="G1722" what means|strong="G5101" he|strong="G3778" is made whole|strong="G4982";
10 Be it|strong="G2077" known|strong="G1110" unto you|strong="G5213" all|strong="G3956", and|strong="G2532" to all|strong="G3956" the people|strong="G2992" of Israel|strong="G2474", that|strong="G3754" by|strong="G1722" the name|strong="G3686" of Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" of Nazareth|strong="G3480", whom|strong="G3739" ye|strong="G5210" crucified|strong="G4717", whom|strong="G3739" God|strong="G2316" raised|strong="G1453" from|strong="G1537" the dead|strong="G3498", even by|strong="G1722" him doth|strong="G3936" this|strong="G5129" man|strong="G3778" stand here|strong="G3936" before|strong="G1799" you|strong="G5216" whole|strong="G5199".
11 This|strong="G3778" is|strong="G2076" the stone|strong="G3037" which|strong="G3588" was set at nought|strong="G1848" of|strong="G5259" you|strong="G5216" builders|strong="G3618", which|strong="G3588" is become|strong="G1096" the head|strong="G2776" of the corner|strong="G1137".
12 Neither|strong="G3777" is there|strong="G2076" salvation|strong="G4991" in|strong="G1722" any other|strong="G0243": for|strong="G1063" there is|strong="G2076" none|strong="G3762" other|strong="G2087" name|strong="G3686" under|strong="G5259" heaven|strong="G3772" given|strong="G1325" among|strong="G1722" men|strong="G0444", whereby|strong="G1722" we|strong="G2248" must|strong="G1163" be saved|strong="G4982".
13 Now|strong="G1161" when they saw|strong="G2334" the boldness|strong="G3954" of Peter|strong="G4074" and|strong="G2532" John|strong="G2491", and|strong="G2532" perceived|strong="G2638" that|strong="G3754" they were|strong="G1526" unlearned|strong="G0062" and|strong="G2532" ignorant|strong="G2399" men|strong="G0444", they marvelled|strong="G2296"; and|strong="G5037" they took knowledge|strong="G1921" of them|strong="G0846", that|strong="G3754" they had been|strong="G2258" with|strong="G4862" Jesus|strong="G2424".
14 And|strong="G1161" beholding|strong="G0991" the man|strong="G0444" which|strong="G3588" was healed|strong="G2323" standing|strong="G2476" with|strong="G4862" them|strong="G0846", they could|strong="G2192" say|strong="G0471" nothing|strong="G3762" against it|strong="G0471".
15 But|strong="G1161" when they had commanded|strong="G2753" them|strong="G0846" to go aside|strong="G0565" out of|strong="G1854" the council|strong="G4892", they conferred|strong="G4820" among|strong="G4314" themselves|strong="G0240",
16 Saying|strong="G3004", What|strong="G5101" shall we do|strong="G4160" to|strong="G0444" these|strong="G5125" men|strong="G0444"? for|strong="G1063" that|strong="G3754" indeed|strong="G3303" a notable|strong="G1110" miracle|strong="G4592" hath been done|strong="G1096" by|strong="G1223" them|strong="G0846" is manifest|strong="G5318" to all|strong="G3956" them|strong="G2730" that|strong="G3588" dwell|strong="G2730" in Jerusalem|strong="G2419"; and|strong="G2532" we can|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" deny|strong="G0720" it.
17 But|strong="G0235" that|strong="G2443" it spread|strong="G1268" no|strong="G3361" further|strong="G4119" among|strong="G1519" the people|strong="G2992", let us|strong="G0546" straitly|strong="G0547" threaten|strong="G0546" them|strong="G0846", that they speak|strong="G2980" henceforth|strong="G3371" to no|strong="G3367" man|strong="G0444" in|strong="G1909" this|strong="G5129" name|strong="G3686".
18 And|strong="G2532" they called|strong="G2564" them|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" commanded|strong="G3853" them|strong="G0846" not|strong="G3361" to speak|strong="G5350" at all|strong="G2527" nor|strong="G3366" teach|strong="G1321" in|strong="G1909" the name|strong="G3686" of Jesus|strong="G2424".
19 But|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" and|strong="G2532" John|strong="G2491" answered|strong="G0611" and said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", Whether|strong="G1487" it be|strong="G2076" right|strong="G1342" in the sight of|strong="G1799" God|strong="G2316" to hearken|strong="G0191" unto you|strong="G5216" more|strong="G3123" than|strong="G2228" unto God|strong="G2316", judge ye|strong="G2919".
20 For|strong="G1063" we|strong="G2249" can|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" but|strong="G3361" speak|strong="G2980" the things which|strong="G3739" we have seen|strong="G1492" and|strong="G2532" heard|strong="G0191".
21 So|strong="G1161" when they had further threatened|strong="G4324" them|strong="G0846", they let them go|strong="G0630", finding|strong="G2147" nothing|strong="G3367" how|strong="G4459" they might punish|strong="G2849" them|strong="G0846", because of|strong="G3754" the people|strong="G2992": for|strong="G1223" all|strong="G3956" men glorified|strong="G1392" God|strong="G2316" for|strong="G1909" that|strong="G3588" which was done|strong="G1096".
22 For|strong="G1063" the man|strong="G0444" was|strong="G2258" above|strong="G4119" forty|strong="G5062" years old|strong="G2094", on|strong="G1909" whom|strong="G3739" this|strong="G5124" miracle|strong="G4592" of healing|strong="G2392" was shewed|strong="G1096".
23 And|strong="G1161" being let go|strong="G0630", they went|strong="G2064" to|strong="G4314" their own company|strong="G2398", and|strong="G2532" reported|strong="G0518" all that|strong="G3745" the chief priests|strong="G0749" and|strong="G2532" elders|strong="G4245" had said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846".
24 And|strong="G1161" when they heard|strong="G0191" that|strong="G3588", they lifted up|strong="G0142" their voice|strong="G5456" to|strong="G4314" God|strong="G2316" with one accord|strong="G3661", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036", Lord|strong="G1203", thou|strong="G4771" art God|strong="G2316", which|strong="G3588" hast made|strong="G4160" heaven|strong="G3772", and|strong="G2532" earth|strong="G1093", and|strong="G2532" the sea|strong="G2281", and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3588" in|strong="G1722" them|strong="G0846" is|strong="G1722":
25 Who|strong="G3588" by|strong="G1223" the mouth|strong="G4750" of thy|strong="G4675" servant|strong="G3816" David|strong="G1138" hast said|strong="G2036", Why|strong="G2444" did|strong="G5433" the heathen|strong="G1484" rage|strong="G5433", and|strong="G2532" the people|strong="G2992" imagine|strong="G3191" vain things|strong="G2756"?
26 The kings|strong="G0935" of the earth|strong="G1093" stood up|strong="G3936", and|strong="G2532" the rulers|strong="G0758" were gathered|strong="G4863" together|strong="G1909" against|strong="G2596" the Lord|strong="G2962", and|strong="G2532" against|strong="G2596" his|strong="G0846" Christ|strong="G5547".
27 For|strong="G1063" of a truth|strong="G0225" against|strong="G1909" thy|strong="G4675" holy|strong="G0040" child|strong="G3816" Jesus|strong="G2424", whom|strong="G3739" thou hast anointed|strong="G5548", both|strong="G5037" Herod|strong="G2264", and|strong="G2532" Pontius|strong="G4194" Pilate|strong="G4091", with|strong="G4862" the Gentiles|strong="G1484", and|strong="G2532" the people|strong="G2992" of Israel|strong="G2474", were gathered|strong="G4863" together|strong="G1909",
28 For to do|strong="G4160" whatsoever|strong="G3745" thy|strong="G4675" hand|strong="G5495" and|strong="G2532" thy|strong="G4675" counsel|strong="G1012" determined before|strong="G4309" to be done|strong="G1096".
29 And|strong="G2532" now|strong="G3568", Lord|strong="G2962", behold|strong="G1896" their|strong="G0846" threatenings|strong="G0547": and|strong="G2532" grant|strong="G1325" unto|strong="G1401" thy|strong="G4675" servants|strong="G1401", that with|strong="G3326" all|strong="G3956" boldness|strong="G3954" they may speak|strong="G2980" thy|strong="G4675" word|strong="G3056",
30 By|strong="G1722" stretching forth|strong="G1614" thine|strong="G4675" hand|strong="G5495" to|strong="G1519" heal|strong="G2392"; and|strong="G2532" that|strong="G1519" signs|strong="G4592" and|strong="G2532" wonders|strong="G5059" may be done|strong="G1096" by|strong="G1223" the name|strong="G3686" of|strong="G3816" thy|strong="G4675" holy|strong="G0040" child|strong="G3816" Jesus|strong="G2424".
31 And|strong="G2532" when|strong="G1189" they|strong="G0846" had prayed|strong="G1189", the place|strong="G5117" was shaken|strong="G4531" where|strong="G3739" they were|strong="G2258" assembled together|strong="G4863"; and|strong="G2532" they were|strong="G4130" all|strong="G0537" filled|strong="G4130" with the|strong="G4151" Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151", and|strong="G2532" they spake|strong="G2980" the word|strong="G3056" of God|strong="G2316" with|strong="G3326" boldness|strong="G3954".
32 And|strong="G1161" the multitude|strong="G4128" of them|strong="G4100" that|strong="G3588" believed|strong="G4100" were|strong="G2258" of|strong="G2588" one|strong="G1520" heart|strong="G2588" and|strong="G2532" of|strong="G5590" one|strong="G2532" soul|strong="G5590": neither|strong="G3761" said|strong="G3004" any|strong="G5100" of them that|strong="G3588" ought of the things which he possessed|strong="G5224" was|strong="G1511" his|strong="G0846" own|strong="G2398"; but|strong="G0235" they|strong="G0846" had|strong="G2258" all things|strong="G0537" common|strong="G2839".
33 And|strong="G2532" with|strong="G1411" great|strong="G3173" power|strong="G1411" gave|strong="G0591" the apostles|strong="G0652" witness|strong="G3142" of the resurrection|strong="G0386" of the Lord|strong="G2962" Jesus|strong="G2424": and|strong="G5037" great|strong="G3173" grace|strong="G5485" was|strong="G2258" upon|strong="G1909" them|strong="G0846" all|strong="G3956".
34 Neither|strong="G3761" was there|strong="G5225" any|strong="G5100" among|strong="G1722" them|strong="G0846" that|strong="G5225" lacked|strong="G1729": for|strong="G1063" as many as|strong="G3745" were|strong="G5225" possessors|strong="G2935" of lands|strong="G5564" or|strong="G2228" houses|strong="G3614" sold them|strong="G4453", and brought|strong="G5342" the prices|strong="G5092" of the things that were sold|strong="G4097",
35 And|strong="G2532" laid|strong="G5087" them down|strong="G5087" at|strong="G3844" the apostles’|strong="G0652" feet|strong="G4228": and|strong="G1161" distribution was made|strong="G1239" unto every man|strong="G1538" according as|strong="G2530" he|strong="G5100" had|strong="G2192" need|strong="G5532".
36 And|strong="G1161" Joses|strong="G2500", who|strong="G3588" by|strong="G5259" the apostles|strong="G0652" was surnamed|strong="G1941" Barnabas|strong="G0921", (which|strong="G3739" is|strong="G2076", being interpreted|strong="G3177", The son|strong="G5207" of consolation|strong="G3874",) a Levite|strong="G3019", and of the country of|strong="G1085" Cyprus|strong="G2953",
37 Having|strong="G5225" land|strong="G0068", sold|strong="G4453" it, and|strong="G2532" brought|strong="G5342" the money|strong="G5536", and|strong="G2532" laid|strong="G5087" it at|strong="G3844" the apostles’|strong="G0652" feet|strong="G4228".
