2 And|strong="G2532" kept back|strong="G3557" part of|strong="G0575" the price|strong="G5092", his|strong="G0846" wife|strong="G1135" also|strong="G2532" being privy|strong="G4894" to it, and|strong="G2532" brought|strong="G5342" a certain|strong="G5100" part|strong="G3313", and laid|strong="G5087" it at|strong="G3844" the apostles’|strong="G0652" feet|strong="G4228".
3 But|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" said|strong="G2036", Ananias|strong="G0367", why|strong="G5101" hath|strong="G4137" Satan|strong="G4567" filled|strong="G4137" thine|strong="G4675" heart|strong="G2588" to lie|strong="G5574" to the|strong="G4151" Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151", and|strong="G2532" to keep back|strong="G3557" part of|strong="G0575" the price|strong="G5092" of the land|strong="G5564"?
4 Whiles it remained|strong="G3306", was it|strong="G3306" not|strong="G3780" thine own|strong="G4671"? and|strong="G2532" after it was sold|strong="G4097", was it|strong="G5225" not|strong="G3780" in|strong="G1722" thine own|strong="G4674" power|strong="G1849"? why|strong="G5101" hast thou conceived|strong="G5087" this|strong="G5124" thing|strong="G4229" in|strong="G1722" thine|strong="G4675" heart|strong="G2588"? thou hast|strong="G5574" not|strong="G3756" lied|strong="G5574" unto men|strong="G0444", but|strong="G0235" unto God|strong="G2316".
5 And|strong="G1161" Ananias|strong="G0367" hearing|strong="G0191" these|strong="G5128" words|strong="G3056" fell down|strong="G4098", and gave up the ghost|strong="G1634": and|strong="G2532" great|strong="G3173" fear|strong="G5401" came|strong="G1096" on|strong="G1909" all|strong="G3956" them|strong="G0191" that|strong="G3588" heard|strong="G0191" these things|strong="G5023".
6 And|strong="G1161" the young men|strong="G3501" arose|strong="G0450", wound|strong="G4958" him|strong="G0846" up|strong="G4958", and|strong="G2532" carried|strong="G1627" him out|strong="G1627", and|strong="G2532" buried|strong="G2290" him.
7 And|strong="G1161" it was|strong="G1096" about|strong="G5613" the space|strong="G1292" of three|strong="G5140" hours|strong="G5610" after, when his|strong="G0846" wife|strong="G1135", not|strong="G3361" knowing|strong="G1492" what|strong="G3588" was done|strong="G1096", came in|strong="G1525".
8 And|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" answered|strong="G0611" unto her|strong="G0846", Tell|strong="G2036" me|strong="G3427" whether|strong="G1487" ye sold|strong="G0591" the land|strong="G5564" for so much|strong="G5118"? And|strong="G1161" she said|strong="G2036", Yea|strong="G3483", for so much|strong="G5118".
9 Then|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" her|strong="G0846", How is it|strong="G5101" that|strong="G3754" ye|strong="G5213" have agreed together|strong="G4856" to tempt|strong="G3985" the Spirit|strong="G4151" of the Lord|strong="G2962"? behold|strong="G2400", the feet|strong="G4228" of them|strong="G3588" which have buried|strong="G2290" thy|strong="G4675" husband|strong="G0435" are at|strong="G1909" the door|strong="G2374", and|strong="G2532" shall carry|strong="G1627" thee|strong="G4571" out|strong="G1627".
10 Then|strong="G1161" fell she down|strong="G4098" straightway|strong="G3916" at|strong="G3844" his|strong="G0846" feet|strong="G4228", and|strong="G2532" yielded up the ghost|strong="G1634": and|strong="G1161" the young men|strong="G3495" came in|strong="G1525", and|strong="G1161" found|strong="G2147" her|strong="G0846" dead|strong="G3498", and|strong="G2532", carrying|strong="G1627" her forth|strong="G1627", buried|strong="G2290" her by|strong="G4314" her|strong="G0846" husband|strong="G0435".
11 And|strong="G2532" great|strong="G3173" fear|strong="G5401" came|strong="G1096" upon|strong="G1909" all|strong="G3650" the church|strong="G1577", and|strong="G2532" upon|strong="G1909" as many as|strong="G3956" heard|strong="G0191" these things|strong="G5023".
12 And|strong="G1161" by|strong="G1223" the hands|strong="G5495" of the apostles|strong="G0652" were|strong="G1096" many|strong="G4183" signs|strong="G4592" and|strong="G2532" wonders|strong="G5059" wrought among|strong="G1722" the people|strong="G2992"; (and|strong="G2532" they were|strong="G2258" all|strong="G0537" with one accord|strong="G3661" in|strong="G1722" Solomon’s|strong="G4672" porch|strong="G4745".
13 And|strong="G1161" of the rest|strong="G3062" durst|strong="G5111" no man|strong="G3762" join himself|strong="G2853" to them|strong="G0846": but|strong="G0235" the people|strong="G2992" magnified|strong="G3170" them|strong="G0846".
14 And|strong="G1161" believers|strong="G4100" were|strong="G4369" the more|strong="G3123" added|strong="G4369" to the Lord|strong="G2962", multitudes|strong="G4128" both|strong="G5037" of men|strong="G0435" and|strong="G2532" women|strong="G1135".)
15 Insomuch that|strong="G5620" they brought forth|strong="G1627" the sick|strong="G0772" into the streets|strong="G4113", and|strong="G2532" laid|strong="G5087" them on|strong="G1909" beds|strong="G2825" and|strong="G2532" couches|strong="G2895", that|strong="G2443" at the least|strong="G2579" the shadow|strong="G4639" of Peter|strong="G4074" passing by|strong="G2064" might overshadow|strong="G1982" some|strong="G5100" of them|strong="G0846".

17 Then|strong="G1161" the high priest|strong="G0749" rose up|strong="G0450", and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" they that were|strong="G3588" with|strong="G4862" him|strong="G0846", (which is|strong="G5607" the sect|strong="G0139" of the Sadducees|strong="G4523",) and were filled|strong="G4130" with indignation|strong="G2205",

21 And|strong="G1161" when they heard|strong="G0191" that, they entered|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the temple|strong="G2411" early in the morning|strong="G3722", and|strong="G2532" taught|strong="G1321". But|strong="G1161" the high priest|strong="G0749" came|strong="G3854", and|strong="G2532" they that were|strong="G3588" with|strong="G4862" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" called|strong="G4779" the council|strong="G4892" together|strong="G4779", and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" the senate|strong="G1087" of the children|strong="G5207" of Israel|strong="G2474", and|strong="G2532" sent|strong="G0649" to|strong="G1519" the prison|strong="G1201" to have|strong="G0071" them|strong="G0846" brought|strong="G0071".
22 But|strong="G1161" when|strong="G3854" the officers|strong="G5257" came|strong="G3854", and|strong="G1161" found|strong="G2147" them|strong="G0846" not|strong="G3756" in|strong="G1722" the prison|strong="G5438", they returned|strong="G0390", and|strong="G1161" told|strong="G0518",
23 Saying|strong="G3004", The prison|strong="G1201" truly|strong="G3303" found we|strong="G2147" shut|strong="G2808" with|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" safety|strong="G0803", and|strong="G2532" the keepers|strong="G5441" standing|strong="G2476" without|strong="G1854" before|strong="G4253" the doors|strong="G2374": but|strong="G1161" when we had opened|strong="G0455", we found|strong="G2147" no man|strong="G3762" within|strong="G2080".
24 Now|strong="G1161" when|strong="G5613" the high priest|strong="G2409" and|strong="G2532" the captain|strong="G4755" of the temple|strong="G2411" and|strong="G2532" the chief priests|strong="G0749" heard|strong="G0191" these|strong="G5128" things|strong="G3056", they doubted|strong="G1280" of|strong="G4012" them|strong="G0846" whereunto|strong="G0302" this|strong="G5124" would grow|strong="G1096".
25 Then|strong="G1161" came|strong="G3854" one|strong="G5100" and|strong="G1161" told|strong="G0518" them|strong="G0846", saying|strong="G3004", Behold|strong="G2400", the men|strong="G0435" whom|strong="G3739" ye put|strong="G5087" in|strong="G1722" prison|strong="G5438" are|strong="G1526" standing|strong="G2476" in|strong="G1722" the temple|strong="G2411", and|strong="G2532" teaching|strong="G1321" the people|strong="G2992".
26 Then|strong="G5119" went|strong="G0565" the captain|strong="G4755" with|strong="G4862" the officers|strong="G5257", and|strong="G5119" brought|strong="G0071" them|strong="G0846" without|strong="G3326" violence|strong="G0970": for|strong="G1063" they feared|strong="G5399" the people|strong="G2992", lest|strong="G3361" they should have been stoned|strong="G3034".
27 And|strong="G1161" when they had brought|strong="G0071" them|strong="G0846", they set|strong="G2476" them before|strong="G1722" the council|strong="G4892": and|strong="G2532" the high priest|strong="G0749" asked|strong="G1905" them|strong="G0846",
28 Saying|strong="G3004", Did not|strong="G3756" we|strong="G3853" straitly|strong="G3852" command|strong="G3853" you|strong="G5213" that ye should|strong="G1321" not|strong="G3361" teach|strong="G1321" in|strong="G1909" this|strong="G5129" name|strong="G3686"? and|strong="G2532", behold|strong="G2400", ye have filled|strong="G4137" Jerusalem|strong="G2419" with|strong="G1322" your|strong="G5216" doctrine|strong="G1322", and|strong="G2532" intend|strong="G1014" to bring|strong="G1863" this|strong="G5127" man’s|strong="G0444" blood|strong="G0129" upon|strong="G1909" us|strong="G2248".
29 Then|strong="G1161" Peter|strong="G4074" and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G0652" other apostles|strong="G0652" answered|strong="G0611" and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G2036", We|strong="G3980" ought|strong="G1163" to obey|strong="G3980" God|strong="G2316" rather|strong="G3123" than|strong="G2228" men|strong="G0444".
30 The God|strong="G2316" of|strong="G3962" our|strong="G2257" fathers|strong="G3962" raised up|strong="G1453" Jesus|strong="G2424", whom|strong="G3739" ye|strong="G5210" slew|strong="G1315" and hanged|strong="G2910" on|strong="G1909" a tree|strong="G3586".
31 Him|strong="G5126" hath|strong="G5312" God|strong="G2316" exalted|strong="G5312" with|strong="G1188" his|strong="G0846" right hand|strong="G1188" to be a Prince|strong="G0747" and|strong="G2532" a Saviour|strong="G4990", for to give|strong="G1325" repentance|strong="G3341" to Israel|strong="G2474", and|strong="G2532" forgiveness|strong="G0859" of sins|strong="G0266".
32 And|strong="G2532" we|strong="G2249" are|strong="G2070" his|strong="G0846" witnesses|strong="G3144" of|strong="G4487" these|strong="G5130" things|strong="G4487"; and|strong="G2532" so is also|strong="G1161" the|strong="G4151" Holy|strong="G0040" Ghost|strong="G4151", whom|strong="G3739" God|strong="G2316" hath given|strong="G1325" to them|strong="G3980" that|strong="G3588" obey|strong="G3980" him|strong="G0846".
33 When|strong="G1161" they heard|strong="G0191" that, they were cut|strong="G1282" to the heart, and|strong="G2532" took counsel|strong="G1011" to slay|strong="G0337" them|strong="G0846".
34 Then|strong="G1161" stood there up|strong="G0450" one|strong="G5100" in|strong="G1722" the council|strong="G4892", a Pharisee|strong="G5330", named|strong="G3686" Gamaliel|strong="G1059", a doctor of the law|strong="G3547", had in reputation|strong="G5093" among|strong="G2992" all|strong="G3956" the people|strong="G2992", and commanded|strong="G2753" to put|strong="G4160" the apostles|strong="G0652" forth|strong="G1854" a little space|strong="G1024";
35 And|strong="G5037" said|strong="G2036" unto|strong="G4314" them|strong="G0846", Ye men|strong="G0435" of Israel|strong="G2475", take heed|strong="G4337" to yourselves|strong="G1438" what|strong="G5101" ye intend|strong="G3195" to do|strong="G4238" as touching|strong="G1909" these|strong="G5125" men|strong="G0444".
36 For|strong="G1063" before|strong="G4253" these|strong="G5130" days|strong="G2250" rose up|strong="G0450" Theudas|strong="G2333", boasting|strong="G3004" himself|strong="G1438" to be|strong="G1511" somebody|strong="G5100"; to whom|strong="G3739" a number|strong="G0706" of men|strong="G0435", about|strong="G5616" four hundred|strong="G5071", joined themselves|strong="G4347": who|strong="G3739" was slain|strong="G0337"; and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956", as many as|strong="G3745" obeyed|strong="G3982" him|strong="G0846", were scattered|strong="G1262", and|strong="G2532" brought|strong="G1096" to|strong="G1519" nought|strong="G3762".
37 After|strong="G3326" this|strong="G5126" man rose up|strong="G0450" Judas|strong="G2455" of Galilee|strong="G1057" in|strong="G1722" the days|strong="G2250" of the taxing|strong="G0582", and|strong="G2532" drew away|strong="G0868" much|strong="G2425" people|strong="G2992" after|strong="G3694" him|strong="G0846": he also|strong="G2548" perished|strong="G0622"; and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956", even as many as|strong="G3745" obeyed|strong="G3982" him|strong="G0846", were dispersed|strong="G1287".
38 And|strong="G2532" now|strong="G3568" I say|strong="G3004" unto you|strong="G5213", Refrain|strong="G0868" from|strong="G0575" these|strong="G5130" men|strong="G0444", and|strong="G2532" let|strong="G1439" them|strong="G0846" alone|strong="G1439": for|strong="G3754" if|strong="G1437" this|strong="G3778" counsel|strong="G1012" or|strong="G2228" this|strong="G5124" work|strong="G2041" be|strong="G5600" of|strong="G1537" men|strong="G0444", it will come to nought|strong="G2647":
39 But|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487" it be|strong="G2076" of|strong="G1537" God|strong="G2316", ye can|strong="G1410" not|strong="G3756" overthrow|strong="G2647" it|strong="G0846"; lest haply|strong="G3379" ye be found|strong="G2147" even|strong="G2532" to fight against God|strong="G2314".
40 And|strong="G1161" to him|strong="G0846" they agreed|strong="G3982": and|strong="G2532" when they had called|strong="G4341" the apostles|strong="G0652", and|strong="G2532" beaten|strong="G1194" them, they commanded|strong="G3853" that they should|strong="G2980" not|strong="G3361" speak|strong="G2980" in|strong="G1909" the name|strong="G3686" of Jesus|strong="G2424", and|strong="G2532" let|strong="G0630" them|strong="G0846" go|strong="G0630".
41 And|strong="G3767" they departed|strong="G4198" from|strong="G0575" the presence|strong="G4383" of the council|strong="G4892", rejoicing|strong="G5463" that|strong="G3754" they were counted worthy|strong="G2661" to suffer shame|strong="G0818" for|strong="G5228" his|strong="G0846" name|strong="G3686".
42 And|strong="G5037" daily|strong="G2250" in|strong="G1722" the temple|strong="G2411", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G2596" every|strong="G3956" house|strong="G3624", they ceased|strong="G3973" not|strong="G3756" to teach|strong="G1321" and|strong="G2532" preach|strong="G2097" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547".
