1 Ouça, povo de Israel! Ouça este meu cântico fúnebre:
2 The virgin|strong="H1330" of Israel|strong="H3478" is fallen|strong="H5307"; she shall no more|strong="H3254" rise|strong="H6965": she is forsaken|strong="H5203" upon her land|strong="H0127"; there is none to raise her up|strong="H6965".
2 “A virgem Israel caiu, para nunca mais se levantar! Está estendida no chão, e não há quem a ajude a ficar em pé”.
3 For thus saith|strong="H0559" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*; The city|strong="H5892" that went out|strong="H3318" by a thousand|strong="H0505" shall leave|strong="H7604" an hundred|strong="H3967", and that which went forth|strong="H3318" by an hundred|strong="H3967" shall leave|strong="H7604" ten|strong="H6235", to the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478".
3 O S enhor Soberano diz: “Quando uma cidade mandar mil homens para a batalha, apenas cem retornarão. Quando dela saírem cem, apenas dez voltarão com vida”.
4 For thus saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* unto the house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478", Seek|strong="H1875" ye me, and ye shall live|strong="H2421":
4 Assim diz o S enhor ao povo de Israel: “Busquem-me e vivam!
5 But seek|strong="H1875" not Beth-el|strong="H1008", nor enter|strong="H0935" into Gilgal|strong="H1537", and pass|strong="H5674" not to Beer-sheba|strong="H0884": for Gilgal|strong="H1537" shall surely|strong="H1540" go into captivity|strong="H1540", and Beth-el|strong="H1008" shall come to nought|strong="H0205".
5 Não adorem nos altares em Betel, não vão aos santuários em Gilgal ou Berseba. Pois os habitantes de Gilgal serão levados para o exílio, e os de Betel serão reduzidos a nada”.
6 Seek|strong="H1875" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and ye shall live|strong="H2421"; lest he break out|strong="H6743" like fire|strong="H0784" in the house|strong="H1004" of Joseph|strong="H3130", and devour|strong="H0398" it, and there be none to quench|strong="H3518" it in Beth-el|strong="H1008".
6 Busquem o S enhor e vivam! Do contrário, ele passará por Israel e a destruirá por completo. Não haverá em Betel ninguém que possa apagar as chamas.
7 Ye who turn|strong="H2015" judgment|strong="H4941" to wormwood|strong="H3939", and leave off|strong="H3240" righteousness|strong="H6666" in the earth|strong="H0776",
7 Vocês transformam a retidão em amargura e tratam a justiça como lixo.
8 Seek him that maketh|strong="H6213" the seven stars|strong="H3598" and Orion|strong="H3685", and turneth|strong="H2015" the shadow of death|strong="H6757" into the morning|strong="H1242", and maketh the day|strong="H3117" dark|strong="H2821" with night|strong="H3915": that calleth|strong="H7121" for the waters|strong="H4325" of the sea|strong="H3220", and poureth them out|strong="H8210" upon the face|strong="H6440" of the earth|strong="H0776": The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is his name|strong="H8034":
8 Pois ele criou as estrelas, as Plêiades e o Órion. Transforma a escuridão em manhã e o dia em noite. Tira água dos oceanos e a derrama sobre a terra; seu nome é S
9 That strengtheneth|strong="H1082" the spoiled|strong="H7701" against the strong|strong="H5794", so that the spoiled|strong="H7701" shall come|strong="H0935" against the fortress|strong="H4013".
9 Com rapidez tremenda, destrói os fortes e esmaga suas defesas.
10 They hate|strong="H8130" him that rebuketh|strong="H3198" in the gate|strong="H8179", and they abhor|strong="H8581" him that speaketh|strong="H1696" uprightly|strong="H8549".
10 Como vocês odeiam juízes honestos! Como detestam os que dizem a verdade!
11 Forasmuch|strong="H3282" therefore as your treading|strong="H1318" is upon the poor|strong="H1800", and ye take|strong="H3947" from him burdens|strong="H4864" of wheat|strong="H1250": ye have built|strong="H1129" houses|strong="H1004" of hewn stone|strong="H1496", but ye shall not dwell|strong="H3427" in them; ye have planted|strong="H5193" pleasant|strong="H2531" vineyards|strong="H3754", but ye shall not drink|strong="H8354" wine|strong="H3196" of them.
11 Oprimem os pobres e roubam seu trigo com impostos injustos. Por isso, ainda que construam belas casas de pedra, jamais morarão nelas. Ainda que plantem videiras verdejantes, jamais beberão o vinho delas.
12 For I know|strong="H3045" your manifold|strong="H7227" transgressions|strong="H6588" and your mighty|strong="H6099" sins|strong="H2403": they afflict|strong="H6887" the just|strong="H6662", they take|strong="H3947" a bribe|strong="H3724", and they turn aside|strong="H5186" the poor|strong="H0034" in the gate|strong="H8179" from their right.
12 Pois eu sei que seus atos de rebeldia são muitos, e seus pecados são grandes. Afligem o justo aceitando subornos e não fazem justiça ao pobre nos tribunais.
13 Therefore the prudent|strong="H7919" shall keep silence|strong="H1826" in that time|strong="H6256"; for it is an evil|strong="H7451" time|strong="H6256".
13 Quem for prudente ficará de boca fechada, pois este é um tempo de desgraça.
14 Seek|strong="H1875" good|strong="H2896", and not evil|strong="H7451", that ye may live|strong="H2421": and so the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the God|strong="H0430" of hosts|strong="H6635", shall be with you, as ye have spoken|strong="H0559".
14 Façam o bem e fujam do mal, para que tenham vida! Então o S como vocês afirmam.
15 Hate|strong="H8130" the evil|strong="H7451", and love|strong="H0157" the good|strong="H2896", and establish|strong="H3322" judgment|strong="H4941" in the gate|strong="H8179": it may be that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of hosts|strong="H6635" will be gracious|strong="H2603" unto the remnant|strong="H7611" of Joseph|strong="H3130".
15 Odeiem o mal e amem o bem, estabeleçam a justiça em seus tribunais. Talvez o S ainda tenha compaixão do remanescente de seu povo.
16 Therefore the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the God|strong="H0430" of hosts|strong="H6635", the Lord|strong="H0136", saith|strong="H0559" thus; Wailing|strong="H4553" shall be in all streets|strong="H7339"; and they shall say|strong="H0559" in all the highways|strong="H2351", Alas|strong="H1930"! alas|strong="H1930"! and they shall call|strong="H7121" the husbandman|strong="H0406" to mourning|strong="H0060", and such as are skilful|strong="H3045" of lamentation|strong="H5092" to wailing|strong="H4553".
16 Portanto, assim diz o S enhor Soberano, o Deus dos Exércitos: “Haverá choro nas praças públicas e angústia nas ruas. Chamem os lavradores para chorar com vocês, convoquem pranteadores para lamentar.
17 And in all vineyards|strong="H3754" shall be wailing|strong="H4553": for I will pass|strong="H5674" through|strong="H7130" thee, saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
17 Haverá lamento em cada videira, pois destruirei todas elas”, diz o S
18 Woe|strong="H1945" unto you that desire|strong="H0183" the day|strong="H3117" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*! to what end|strong="H4100" is it for you? the day|strong="H3117" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* is darkness|strong="H2822", and not light|strong="H0216".
18 Que aflição espera vocês que dizem: “Se ao menos o dia do S Não fazem ideia do que desejam; aquele dia trará escuridão, e não luz.
19 As if a man|strong="H0376" did flee|strong="H5127" from|strong="H6440" a lion|strong="H0738", and a bear|strong="H1677" met|strong="H6293" him; or went|strong="H0935" into the house|strong="H1004", and leaned|strong="H5564" his hand|strong="H3027" on the wall|strong="H7023", and a serpent|strong="H5175" bit|strong="H5391" him.
19 Vocês serão como o homem que foge de um leão e acaba encontrando um urso, que apoia a mão na parede de sua casa e é picado por uma cobra.
20 Shall not the day|strong="H3117" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* be darkness|strong="H2822", and not light|strong="H0216"? even very dark|strong="H0651", and no brightness|strong="H5051" in it?
20 Sim, o dia do S enhor será de escuridão, e não de luz; não haverá um só raio de claridade no meio das trevas.
21 I hate|strong="H8130", I despise|strong="H3988" your feast days|strong="H2282", and I will not smell|strong="H7306" in your solemn assemblies|strong="H6116".
21 “Sinto imenso desprezo de suas festas religiosas, não suporto suas reuniões solenes.
22 Though ye offer|strong="H5927" me burnt offerings|strong="H5930" and your meat offerings|strong="H4503", I will not accept|strong="H7521" them: neither will I regard|strong="H5027" the peace offerings|strong="H8002" of your fat beasts|strong="H4806".
22 Não aceitarei seus holocaustos nem suas ofertas de cereal. Não darei a mínima atenção para suas melhores ofertas de paz.
23 Take thou away|strong="H5493" from me the noise|strong="H1995" of thy songs|strong="H7892"; for I will not hear|strong="H8085" the melody|strong="H2172" of thy viols|strong="H5035".
23 Chega de seus ruidosos cânticos de louvor! Não ouvirei a música de suas harpas.
24 But let judgment|strong="H4941" run down|strong="H1556" as waters|strong="H4325", and righteousness|strong="H6666" as a mighty|strong="H0386" stream|strong="H5158".
24 Em vez disso, quero ver uma grande inundação de justiça, um rio inesgotável de retidão.
25 Have ye offered|strong="H5066" unto me sacrifices|strong="H2077" and offerings|strong="H4503" in the wilderness|strong="H4057" forty|strong="H0705" years|strong="H8141", O house|strong="H1004" of Israel|strong="H3478"?
25 “Foi a mim que vocês trouxeram sacrifícios e ofertas durante os quarenta anos no deserto, povo de Israel?
26 But ye have borne|strong="H5375" the tabernacle|strong="H5522" of your Moloch|strong="H4428" and Chiun|strong="H3594" your images|strong="H6754", the star|strong="H3556" of your god|strong="H0430", which ye made|strong="H6213" to yourselves.
26 Não, vocês serviram Sicute, seu deus rei, e Quium, seu deus estrela, imagens que fizeram para si mesmos!
27 Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity|strong="H1540" beyond|strong="H1973" Damascus|strong="H1834", saith|strong="H0559" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, whose name|strong="H8034" is The God|strong="H0430" of hosts|strong="H6635".
27 Por isso eu os enviarei para o exílio, para uma terra a leste de Damasco”, diz o S enhor , cujo nome é Deus dos Exércitos.
