Amós 4

King James (Authorized) Version (ENG-KJV2006)

Hear|strong="H8085" this word|strong="H1697", ye kine|strong="H6510" of Bashan|strong="H1316", that are in the mountain|strong="H2022" of Samaria|strong="H8111", which oppress|strong="H6231" the poor|strong="H1800", which crush|strong="H7533" the needy|strong="H0034", which say|strong="H0559" to their masters|strong="H0113", Bring|strong="H0935", and let us drink|strong="H8354".

The Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w* hath sworn|strong="H7650" by his holiness|strong="H6944", that, lo, the days|strong="H3117" shall come|strong="H0935" upon you, that he will take you away|strong="H5375" with hooks|strong="H6793", and your posterity|strong="H0319" with fishhooks|strong="H1729".

And ye shall go out|strong="H3318" at the breaches|strong="H6556", every|strong="H0802" cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast|strong="H7993" them into the palace|strong="H2038", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

Come|strong="H0935" to Beth-el|strong="H1008", and transgress|strong="H6586"; at Gilgal|strong="H1537" multiply|strong="H7235" transgression|strong="H6586"; and bring|strong="H0935" your sacrifices|strong="H2077" every morning|strong="H1242", and your tithes|strong="H4643" after three|strong="H7969" years|strong="H3117":

And offer|strong="H6999" a sacrifice of thanksgiving|strong="H8426" with leaven|strong="H2557", and proclaim|strong="H7121" and publish|strong="H8085" the free offerings|strong="H5071": for this|strong="H3651" liketh|strong="H0157" you, O ye children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", saith|strong="H5002" the Lord|strong="H0136" \+w GOD|strong="H3069"\+w*.

And I also have given|strong="H5414" you cleanness|strong="H5356" of teeth|strong="H8127" in all your cities|strong="H5892", and want|strong="H2640" of bread|strong="H3899" in all your places|strong="H4725": yet have ye not returned|strong="H7725" unto me, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

And also I have withholden|strong="H4513" the rain|strong="H1653" from you, when there were yet three|strong="H7969" months|strong="H2320" to the harvest|strong="H7105": and I caused it to rain|strong="H4305" upon one|strong="H0259" city|strong="H5892", and caused it not to rain|strong="H4305" upon another|strong="H0259" city|strong="H5892": one|strong="H0259" piece|strong="H2513" was rained|strong="H4305" upon, and the piece|strong="H2513" whereupon it rained|strong="H4305" not withered|strong="H3001".

So two|strong="H8147" or three|strong="H7969" cities|strong="H5892" wandered|strong="H5128" unto one|strong="H0259" city|strong="H5892", to drink|strong="H8354" water|strong="H4325"; but they were not satisfied|strong="H7646": yet have ye not returned|strong="H7725" unto me, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

I have smitten|strong="H5221" you with blasting|strong="H7711" and mildew|strong="H3420": when your gardens|strong="H1593" and your vineyards|strong="H3754" and your fig trees|strong="H8384" and your olive trees|strong="H2132" increased|strong="H7235", the palmerworm|strong="H1501" devoured|strong="H0398" them: yet have ye not returned|strong="H7725" unto me, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

I have sent|strong="H7971" among you the pestilence|strong="H1698" after the manner|strong="H1870" of Egypt|strong="H4714": your young men|strong="H0970" have I slain|strong="H2026" with the sword|strong="H2719", and have taken away|strong="H7628" your horses|strong="H5483"; and I have made the stink|strong="H0889" of your camps|strong="H4264" to come up|strong="H5927" unto your nostrils|strong="H0639": yet have ye not returned|strong="H7725" unto me, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

I have overthrown|strong="H2015" some of you, as God|strong="H0430" overthrew|strong="H4114" Sodom|strong="H5467" and Gomorrah|strong="H6017", and ye were as a firebrand|strong="H0181" plucked out|strong="H5337" of the burning|strong="H8316": yet have ye not returned|strong="H7725" unto me, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.

Therefore thus will I do|strong="H6213" unto thee, O Israel|strong="H3478": and because|strong="H6118" I will do|strong="H6213" this unto thee, prepare|strong="H3559" to meet|strong="H7125" thy God|strong="H0430", O Israel|strong="H3478".

For, lo, he that formeth|strong="H3335" the mountains|strong="H2022", and createth|strong="H1254" the wind|strong="H7307", and declareth|strong="H5046" unto man|strong="H0120" what is his thought|strong="H7808", that maketh|strong="H6213" the morning|strong="H7837" darkness|strong="H5890", and treadeth|strong="H1869" upon the high places|strong="H1116" of the earth|strong="H0776", The \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, The God|strong="H0430" of hosts|strong="H6635", is his name|strong="H8034".
