1 But|strong="G1161" there were|strong="G1096" false prophets|strong="G5578" also|strong="G2532" among|strong="G1722" the people|strong="G2992", even|strong="G2532" as|strong="G5613" there shall be|strong="G2071" false teachers|strong="G5572" among|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5213", who|strong="G3748" privily shall bring in|strong="G3919" damnable|strong="G0684" heresies|strong="G0139", even|strong="G2532" denying|strong="G0720" the Lord|strong="G1203" that bought|strong="G0059" them|strong="G0846", and bring upon|strong="G1863" themselves|strong="G1438" swift|strong="G5031" destruction|strong="G0684".
2 And|strong="G2532" many|strong="G4183" shall follow|strong="G1811" their|strong="G0846" pernicious ways|strong="G0684"; by reason of|strong="G1223" whom|strong="G3739" the way|strong="G3598" of truth|strong="G0225" shall be evil spoken of|strong="G0987".
3 And|strong="G2532" through|strong="G1722" covetousness|strong="G4124" shall they|strong="G1710" with feigned|strong="G4112" words|strong="G3056" make merchandise of|strong="G1710" you|strong="G5209": whose|strong="G3739" judgment|strong="G2917" now|strong="G0691" of a long time|strong="G1597" lingereth|strong="G0691" not|strong="G3756", and|strong="G2532" their|strong="G0846" damnation|strong="G0684" slumbereth|strong="G3573" not|strong="G3756".
4 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" God|strong="G2316" spared|strong="G5339" not|strong="G3756" the angels|strong="G0032" that sinned|strong="G0264", but|strong="G0235" cast|strong="G5020" them down to hell|strong="G5020", and delivered|strong="G3860" them into chains|strong="G4577" of darkness|strong="G2217", to be reserved|strong="G5083" unto|strong="G1519" judgment|strong="G2920";
5 And|strong="G2532" spared|strong="G5339" not|strong="G3756" the|strong="G2889" old|strong="G0744" world|strong="G2889", but|strong="G0235" saved|strong="G5442" Noah|strong="G3575" the eighth|strong="G3590" person, a preacher|strong="G2783" of righteousness|strong="G1343", bringing in|strong="G1863" the flood|strong="G2627" upon the world|strong="G2889" of the ungodly|strong="G0765";
6 And|strong="G2532" turning|strong="G5077" the cities|strong="G4172" of Sodom|strong="G4670" and|strong="G2532" Gomorrha|strong="G1116" into ashes|strong="G5077" condemned|strong="G2632" them with an overthrow|strong="G2692", making|strong="G5087" them an ensample|strong="G5262" unto those that after should|strong="G3195" live ungodly|strong="G0764";
7 And|strong="G2532" delivered|strong="G4506" just|strong="G1342" Lot|strong="G3091", vexed|strong="G2669" with|strong="G5259" the filthy|strong="G0766" conversation|strong="G0391" of the wicked|strong="G0113":
8 (For|strong="G1063" that righteous man|strong="G1342" dwelling|strong="G1460" among|strong="G1722" them|strong="G0846", in seeing|strong="G0990" and|strong="G2532" hearing|strong="G0189", vexed|strong="G0928" his righteous|strong="G1342" soul|strong="G5590" from|strong="G1537" day|strong="G2250" to|strong="G1537" day|strong="G2250" with|strong="G2041" their unlawful|strong="G0459" deeds|strong="G2041";)
9 The Lord|strong="G2962" knoweth how|strong="G1492" to deliver|strong="G4506" the godly|strong="G2152" out of|strong="G1537" temptations|strong="G3986", and|strong="G1161" to reserve|strong="G5083" the unjust|strong="G0094" unto|strong="G1519" the day|strong="G2250" of judgment|strong="G2920" to be punished|strong="G2849":
10 But|strong="G1161" chiefly|strong="G3122" them that walk|strong="G4198" after|strong="G3694" the flesh|strong="G4561" in|strong="G1722" the lust|strong="G1939" of uncleanness|strong="G3394", and|strong="G2532" despise|strong="G2706" government|strong="G2963". Presumptuous|strong="G5113" are they, selfwilled|strong="G0829", they are|strong="G5141" not|strong="G3756" afraid|strong="G5141" to speak evil of|strong="G0987" dignities|strong="G1391".
11 Whereas|strong="G3699" angels|strong="G0032", which are|strong="G5607" greater|strong="G3173" in power|strong="G2479" and|strong="G2532" might|strong="G1411", bring|strong="G5342" not|strong="G3756" railing|strong="G0989" accusation|strong="G2920" against|strong="G2596" them|strong="G0846" before|strong="G3844" the Lord|strong="G2962".
12 But|strong="G1161" these|strong="G3778", as|strong="G5613" natural|strong="G5446" brute|strong="G0249" beasts|strong="G2226", made|strong="G1080" to|strong="G1519" be taken|strong="G0259" and|strong="G2532" destroyed|strong="G5356", speak evil|strong="G0987" of|strong="G1722" the things that|strong="G3739" they understand not|strong="G0050"; and shall utterly perish|strong="G2704" in|strong="G1722" their own|strong="G0846" corruption|strong="G5356";
13 And shall receive|strong="G2865" the reward|strong="G3408" of unrighteousness|strong="G0093", as they that count it|strong="G2233" pleasure|strong="G2237" to riot|strong="G5172" in|strong="G1722" the day time|strong="G2250". Spots|strong="G4696" they are and|strong="G2532" blemishes|strong="G3470", sporting themselves|strong="G1792" with|strong="G1722" their own|strong="G0846" deceivings|strong="G0539" while they feast with|strong="G4910" you|strong="G5213";
14 Having|strong="G2192" eyes|strong="G3788" full|strong="G3324" of adultery|strong="G3428", and|strong="G2532" that cannot cease|strong="G0180" from sin|strong="G0266"; beguiling|strong="G1185" unstable|strong="G0793" souls|strong="G5590": an heart|strong="G2588" they have exercised|strong="G1128" with covetous practices|strong="G4124"; cursed|strong="G2671" children|strong="G5043":
15 Which have forsaken|strong="G2641" the right|strong="G2117" way|strong="G3598", and are gone astray|strong="G4105", following|strong="G1811" the way|strong="G3598" of Balaam|strong="G0903" the son of Bosor|strong="G1007", who|strong="G3739" loved|strong="G0025" the wages|strong="G3408" of unrighteousness|strong="G0093";
16 But|strong="G1161" was|strong="G2192" rebuked|strong="G1649" for|strong="G3892" his|strong="G2398" iniquity|strong="G3892": the|strong="G5268" dumb|strong="G0880" ass|strong="G5268" speaking|strong="G5350" with|strong="G1722" man’s|strong="G0444" voice|strong="G5456" forbad|strong="G2967" the madness|strong="G3913" of the prophet|strong="G4396".
17 These|strong="G3778" are|strong="G1526" wells|strong="G4077" without water|strong="G0504", clouds|strong="G3507" that are carried|strong="G1643" with|strong="G5259" a tempest|strong="G2978"; to whom|strong="G3739" the mist|strong="G2217" of darkness|strong="G4655" is reserved|strong="G5083" for|strong="G1519" ever|strong="G0165".
18 For|strong="G1063" when they speak|strong="G5350" great swelling|strong="G5246" words of vanity|strong="G3153", they allure|strong="G1185" through|strong="G1722" the lusts|strong="G1939" of the flesh|strong="G4561", through much wantonness|strong="G0766", those that were clean|strong="G3689" escaped|strong="G0668" from them who live|strong="G0390" in|strong="G1722" error|strong="G4106".
19 While they promise|strong="G1861" them|strong="G0846" liberty|strong="G1657", they themselves|strong="G0846" are|strong="G5225" the servants|strong="G1401" of corruption|strong="G5356": for|strong="G1063" of whom|strong="G3739" a man|strong="G5100" is overcome|strong="G2274", of the same|strong="G5129" is he brought in bondage|strong="G1402".
20 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" after they have escaped|strong="G0668" the pollutions|strong="G3393" of the world|strong="G2889" through|strong="G1722" the knowledge|strong="G1922" of the Lord|strong="G2962" and|strong="G2532" Saviour|strong="G4990" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547", they are|strong="G1707" again|strong="G3825" entangled|strong="G1707" therein|strong="G5125", and overcome|strong="G2274", the latter end|strong="G2078" is|strong="G1096" worse|strong="G5501" with them|strong="G0846" than the beginning|strong="G4413".
21 For|strong="G1063" it had been|strong="G2258" better|strong="G2909" for them|strong="G0846" not|strong="G3361" to have known|strong="G1921" the way|strong="G3598" of righteousness|strong="G1343", than|strong="G2228", after they have known|strong="G1921" it, to turn|strong="G1994" from|strong="G1537" the|strong="G1785" holy|strong="G0040" commandment|strong="G1785" delivered|strong="G3860" unto them|strong="G0846".
22 But|strong="G1161" it is happened|strong="G4819" unto them|strong="G0846" according to the|strong="G3942" true|strong="G0227" proverb|strong="G3942", The dog|strong="G2965" is turned|strong="G1994" to|strong="G1909" his own|strong="G2398" vomit|strong="G1829" again|strong="G1994"; and|strong="G2532" the sow|strong="G5300" that was washed|strong="G3068" to|strong="G1519" her wallowing|strong="G2946" in the mire|strong="G1004".
