1 Terminou-se, dessa maneira, tudo o que Salomão tinha mandado realizar para o templo do Senhor. Para aí, então, mandou transportar tudo o que Davi, seu pai, tinha consagrado, a prata, o ouro e todos os utensílios, e pôs tudo nos tesouros da casa de Deus.
2 Then Solomon|strong="H8010" assembled|strong="H6950" the elders|strong="H2205" of Israel|strong="H3478", and all the heads|strong="H7218" of the tribes|strong="H4294", the chief|strong="H5387" of the fathers|strong="H0001" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", unto Jerusalem|strong="H3389", to bring up|strong="H5927" the ark|strong="H0727" of the covenant|strong="H1285" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* out of the city|strong="H5892" of David|strong="H1732", which is Zion|strong="H6726".
2 Então, congregou em Jerusalém os anciãos de Israel, os chefes das tribos e os chefes das famílias israelitas para transportarem de Sião, isto é, da cidade de Davi, a arca da aliança do Senhor.

3 Todos os israelitas reuniram-se junto do rei para a festa: era o sétimo mês.

4 Chegados que foram todos os anciãos de Israel, levantaram os levitas a arca,
5 And they brought up|strong="H5927" the ark|strong="H0727", and the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", and all the holy|strong="H6944" vessels|strong="H3627" that were in the tabernacle|strong="H0168", these did the priests|strong="H3548" and the Levites|strong="H3881" bring up|strong="H5927".
5 e transportaram-na com a tenda de reunião e todo o seu mobiliário de utensílios sagrados. Foram os sacerdotes levíticos que fizeram essa transladação.
6 Also king|strong="H4428" Solomon|strong="H8010", and all the congregation|strong="H5712" of Israel|strong="H3478" that were assembled|strong="H3259" unto him before|strong="H6440" the ark|strong="H0727", sacrificed|strong="H2076" sheep|strong="H6629" and oxen|strong="H1241", which could not be told|strong="H5608" nor numbered|strong="H4487" for multitude|strong="H7230".
6 O rei Salomão e toda a multidão de israelitas, reunida com ele diante da arca, imolaram tal quantidade de ovelhas e de bois que não se pôde avaliar o seu número.
7 And the priests|strong="H3548" brought in|strong="H0935" the ark|strong="H0727" of the covenant|strong="H1285" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* unto his place|strong="H4725", to the oracle|strong="H1687" of the house|strong="H1004", into the most|strong="H6944" holy|strong="H6944" place, even under the wings|strong="H3671" of the cherubims|strong="H3742":
7 Os sacerdotes levaram a arca da aliança do Senhor a seu lugar, no santuário do templo, o Santo dos Santos, sob as asas dos querubins.
8 For the cherubims|strong="H3742" spread forth|strong="H6566" their wings|strong="H3671" over the place|strong="H4725" of the ark|strong="H0727", and the cherubims|strong="H3742" covered|strong="H3680" the ark|strong="H0727" and the staves|strong="H0905" thereof above|strong="H4605".
8 Os querubins estendiam as asas sobre o lugar da arca e cobriam-na, assim como os seus varais.
9 And they drew out|strong="H0748" the staves|strong="H0905" of the ark, that the ends|strong="H7218" of the staves|strong="H0905" were seen|strong="H7200" from the ark|strong="H0727" before|strong="H6440" the oracle|strong="H1687"; but they were not seen|strong="H7200" without|strong="H2351". And there it is unto this day|strong="H3117".
9 Estes eram tão compridos que se podia ver suas extremidades diante do santuário; mas não se podiam divisá-los de fora. A arca permaneceu lá até o momento presente.
10 There was nothing in the ark|strong="H0727" save the two|strong="H8147" tables|strong="H3871" which Moses|strong="H4872" put|strong="H5414" therein at Horeb|strong="H2722", when the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* made|strong="H3772" a covenant with the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", when they came out|strong="H3318" of Egypt|strong="H4714".
10 Nela não havia outra coisa senão duas tábuas que Moisés ali tinha colocado, no monte Horeb, quando o Senhor concluiu a aliança com os israelitas que acabavam de sair do Egito.
11 And it came to pass, when the priests|strong="H3548" were come out|strong="H3318" of the holy|strong="H6944" place: (for all the priests|strong="H3548" that were present|strong="H4672" were sanctified|strong="H6942", and did not then wait|strong="H8104" by course|strong="H4256":
11 Quando os sacerdotes saíram do santuário - porque os sacerdotes presentes tinham tomado parte na cerimônia sem observar a ordem de classes;
12 Also the Levites|strong="H3881" which were the singers|strong="H7891", all of them of Asaph|strong="H0623", of Heman|strong="H1968", of Jeduthun|strong="H3038", with their sons|strong="H1121" and their brethren|strong="H0251", being arrayed|strong="H3847" in white linen|strong="H0948", having cymbals|strong="H4700" and psalteries|strong="H5035" and harps|strong="H3658", stood|strong="H5975" at the east end|strong="H4217" of the altar|strong="H4196", and with them an hundred|strong="H3967" and twenty|strong="H6242" priests|strong="H3548" sounding|strong="H2690" with trumpets|strong="H2689":)
12 todos os levitas cantores, Asaf, Hemã, Iditum, seus filhos e irmãos, vestidos de linho fino, colocados a leste do altar, tocavam címbalos, cítaras e harpas, acompanhados de cento e vinte sacerdotes que tocavam trombetas -
13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters|strong="H2690" and singers|strong="H7891" were as one|strong="H0259", to make one|strong="H0259" sound|strong="H6963" to be heard|strong="H8085" in praising|strong="H1984" and thanking|strong="H3034" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; and when they lifted up|strong="H7311" their voice|strong="H6963" with the trumpets|strong="H2689" and cymbals|strong="H4700" and instruments|strong="H3627" of musick|strong="H7892", and praised|strong="H1984" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, saying, For he is good|strong="H2896"; for his mercy|strong="H2617" endureth for ever|strong="H5769": that then the house|strong="H1004" was filled|strong="H4390" with a cloud|strong="H6051", even the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*;
13 no momento em que os tocadores de trombeta, e os cantores se uniam para celebrar numa mesma sinfonia o louvor do Senhor, no momento em que faziam ressoar o som das trombetas, dos címbalos e de outros instrumentos de música com este hino: Louvor ao Senhor porque ele é bom, porque sua misericórdia é eterna, nesse momento o templo, o templo do Senhor, encheu-se de uma nuvem tão espessa
14 So that the priests|strong="H3548" could|strong="H3201" not stand|strong="H5975" to minister|strong="H8334" by reason|strong="H6440" of the cloud|strong="H6051": for the glory|strong="H3519" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had filled|strong="H4390" the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430".
14 que os sacerdotes não puderam permanecer ali para exercer sua função. A glória do Senhor enchia a casa de Deus.
