Manasseh|strong="H4519" was twelve|strong="H8147" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" when he began to reign|strong="H4427", and he reigned|strong="H4427" fifty|strong="H2572" and five|strong="H2568" years|strong="H8141" in Jerusalem|strong="H3389":
But did|strong="H6213" that which was evil|strong="H7451" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, like unto the abominations|strong="H8441" of the heathen|strong="H1471", whom the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had cast out|strong="H3423" before|strong="H6440" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
For he built|strong="H1129" again|strong="H7725" the high places|strong="H1116" which Hezekiah|strong="H3169" his father|strong="H0001" had broken down|strong="H5422", and he reared up|strong="H6965" altars|strong="H4196" for Baalim|strong="H1168", and made|strong="H6213" groves|strong="H0842", and worshipped|strong="H7812" all the host|strong="H6635" of heaven|strong="H8064", and served|strong="H5647" them.
Also he built|strong="H1129" altars|strong="H4196" in the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, whereof the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had said|strong="H0559", In Jerusalem|strong="H3389" shall my name|strong="H8034" be for ever|strong="H5769".
And he built|strong="H1129" altars|strong="H4196" for all the host|strong="H6635" of heaven|strong="H8064" in the two|strong="H8147" courts|strong="H2691" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
And he caused|strong="H5674" his children|strong="H1121" to pass through|strong="H5674" the fire|strong="H0784" in the valley|strong="H1516" of the son|strong="H1121" of Hinnom|strong="H2011": also he observed times|strong="H6049", and used enchantments|strong="H5172", and used witchcraft|strong="H3784", and dealt|strong="H6213" with a familiar spirit|strong="H0178", and with wizards|strong="H3049": he wrought|strong="H6213" much|strong="H7235" evil|strong="H7451" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, to provoke him to anger|strong="H3707".
And he set|strong="H7760" a carved image|strong="H6459", the idol|strong="H5566" which he had made|strong="H6213", in the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430", of which God|strong="H0430" had said|strong="H0559" to David|strong="H1732" and to Solomon|strong="H8010" his son|strong="H1121", In this house|strong="H1004", and in Jerusalem|strong="H3389", which I have chosen|strong="H0977" before all the tribes|strong="H7626" of Israel|strong="H3478", will I put|strong="H7760" my name|strong="H8034" for ever|strong="H5865":
Neither will I any more|strong="H3254" remove|strong="H5493" the foot|strong="H7272" of Israel|strong="H3478" from out|strong="H5921" of the land|strong="H0127" which I have appointed|strong="H5975" for your fathers|strong="H0001"; so that|strong="H0518" they will take heed|strong="H8104" to do|strong="H6213" all that I have commanded|strong="H6680" them, according to the whole law|strong="H8451" and the statutes|strong="H2706" and the ordinances|strong="H4941" by the hand|strong="H3027" of Moses|strong="H4872".
So Manasseh|strong="H4519" made|strong="H8582" Judah|strong="H3063" and the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of Jerusalem|strong="H3389" to err|strong="H8582", and to do|strong="H6213" worse|strong="H7451" than the heathen|strong="H1471", whom the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had destroyed|strong="H8045" before|strong="H6440" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" to Manasseh|strong="H4519", and to his people|strong="H5971": but they would not hearken|strong="H7181".
Wherefore the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* brought|strong="H0935" upon them the captains of|strong="H8269" the host of|strong="H6635" the king|strong="H4428" of Assyria|strong="H0804", which took|strong="H3920" Manasseh|strong="H4519" among the thorns|strong="H2336", and bound him|strong="H0631" with fetters|strong="H5178", and carried|strong="H3212" him to Babylon|strong="H0894".
And when he was in affliction|strong="H6887", he besought|strong="H2470" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* his God|strong="H0430", and humbled|strong="H3665" himself greatly|strong="H3966" before|strong="H6440" the God|strong="H0430" of his fathers|strong="H0001",
And prayed|strong="H6419" unto him: and he was intreated|strong="H6279" of him, and heard|strong="H8085" his supplication|strong="H8467", and brought him again|strong="H7725" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389" into his kingdom|strong="H4438". Then Manasseh|strong="H4519" knew|strong="H3045" that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* he was God|strong="H0430".
Now after this|strong="H0310" he built|strong="H1129" a wall|strong="H2346" without|strong="H2435" the city|strong="H5892" of David|strong="H1732", on the west side|strong="H4628" of Gihon|strong="H1521", in the valley|strong="H5158", even to the entering in|strong="H0935" at the fish|strong="H1709" gate|strong="H8179", and compassed|strong="H5437" about Ophel|strong="H6077", and raised it up|strong="H1361" a very great height|strong="H3966", and put|strong="H7760" captains|strong="H8269" of war|strong="H2428" in all the fenced|strong="H1219" cities|strong="H5892" of Judah|strong="H3063".
And he took away|strong="H5493" the strange|strong="H5236" gods|strong="H0430", and the idol|strong="H5566" out of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and all the altars|strong="H4196" that he had built|strong="H1129" in the mount|strong="H2022" of the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and in Jerusalem|strong="H3389", and cast|strong="H7993" them out|strong="H2351" of the city|strong="H5892".
And he repaired|strong="H1129" the altar|strong="H4196" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and sacrificed|strong="H2076" thereon peace|strong="H8002" offerings|strong="H2077" and thank offerings|strong="H8426", and commanded|strong="H0559" Judah|strong="H3063" to serve|strong="H5647" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478".
Nevertheless|strong="H0061" the people|strong="H5971" did sacrifice|strong="H2076" still in the high places|strong="H1116", yet unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* their God|strong="H0430" only.
Now the rest|strong="H3499" of the acts|strong="H1697" of Manasseh|strong="H4519", and his prayer|strong="H8605" unto his God|strong="H0430", and the words|strong="H1697" of the seers|strong="H2374" that spake|strong="H1696" to him in the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478", behold, they are written in the book|strong="H1697" of the kings|strong="H4428" of Israel|strong="H3478".
His prayer|strong="H8605" also, and how God was intreated|strong="H6279" of him, and all his sin|strong="H2403", and his trespass|strong="H4604", and the places|strong="H4725" wherein he built|strong="H1129" high places|strong="H1116", and set up|strong="H5975" groves|strong="H0842" and graven images|strong="H6456", before|strong="H6440" he was humbled|strong="H3665": behold, they are written|strong="H3789" among the sayings|strong="H1697" of the seers|strong="H2374".
So Manasseh|strong="H4519" slept|strong="H7901" with his fathers|strong="H0001", and they buried|strong="H6912" him in his own house|strong="H1004": and Amon|strong="H0526" his son|strong="H1121" reigned|strong="H4427" in his stead.
Amon|strong="H0526" was two|strong="H8147" and twenty|strong="H6242" years|strong="H8141" old|strong="H1121" when he began to reign|strong="H4427", and reigned|strong="H4427" two|strong="H8147" years|strong="H8141" in Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
But he did|strong="H6213" that which was evil|strong="H7451" in the sight|strong="H5869" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, as did|strong="H6213" Manasseh|strong="H4519" his father|strong="H0001": for Amon|strong="H0526" sacrificed|strong="H2076" unto all the carved images|strong="H6456" which Manasseh|strong="H4519" his father|strong="H0001" had made|strong="H6213", and served|strong="H5647" them;
And humbled|strong="H3665" not himself before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, as Manasseh|strong="H4519" his father|strong="H0001" had humbled|strong="H3665" himself; but Amon|strong="H0526" trespassed|strong="H0819" more and more|strong="H7235".
And his servants|strong="H5650" conspired|strong="H7194" against him, and slew|strong="H4191" him in his own house|strong="H1004".
But the people|strong="H5971" of the land|strong="H0776" slew|strong="H5221" all them that had conspired|strong="H7194" against king|strong="H4428" Amon|strong="H0526"; and the people|strong="H5971" of the land|strong="H0776" made|strong="H4427" Josiah|strong="H2977" his son|strong="H1121" king|strong="H4427" in his stead.
