1 And the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was in the country|strong="H7704" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" seven|strong="H7651" months|strong="H2320".
1 Havendo, pois, estado a arca do SENHOR na terra dos filisteus sete meses,
2 And the Philistines|strong="H6430" called|strong="H7121" for the priests|strong="H3548" and the diviners|strong="H7080", saying|strong="H0559", What shall we do|strong="H6213" to the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*? tell|strong="H3045" us wherewith we shall send|strong="H7971" it to his place|strong="H4725".
2 Os filisteus chamaram os sacerdotes e os adivinhadores, dizendo: Que faremos nós com a arca do Senhor? Fazei-nos saber como a tornaremos a enviar ao seu lugar.
3 And they said|strong="H0559", If ye send away|strong="H7971" the ark|strong="H0727" of the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478", send|strong="H7971" it not empty|strong="H7387"; but in any wise|strong="H7725" return|strong="H7725" him a trespass offering|strong="H0817": then ye shall be healed|strong="H7495", and it shall be known|strong="H3045" to you why his hand|strong="H3027" is not removed|strong="H5493" from you.
3 Os quais disseram: Se enviardes a arca do Deus de Israel, não a envieis vazia, porém sem falta enviareis uma oferta para a expiação da culpa; então sereis curados, e se vos fará saber porque a sua mão não se retira de vós.
4 Then said|strong="H0559" they, What shall be the trespass offering|strong="H0817" which we shall return|strong="H7725" to him? They answered|strong="H0559", Five|strong="H2568" golden|strong="H2091" emerods|strong="H2914", and five|strong="H2568" golden|strong="H2091" mice|strong="H5909", according to the number|strong="H4557" of the lords|strong="H5633" of the Philistines|strong="H6430": for one|strong="H0259" plague|strong="H4046" was on you all, and on your lords|strong="H5633".
4 Então disseram: Qual é a expiação da culpa que lhe havemos de enviar? E disseram: Segundo o número dos príncipes dos filisteus, cinco hemorróidas de ouro e cinco ratos de ouro; porquanto a praga é uma mesma sobre todos vós e sobre todos os vossos príncipes.
5 Wherefore ye shall make|strong="H6213" images|strong="H6754" of your emerods|strong="H2914", and images|strong="H6754" of your mice|strong="H5909" that mar|strong="H7843" the land|strong="H0776"; and ye shall give|strong="H5414" glory|strong="H3519" unto the God|strong="H0430" of Israel|strong="H3478": peradventure he will lighten|strong="H7043" his hand|strong="H3027" from off you, and from off your gods|strong="H0430", and from off your land|strong="H0776".
5 Fazei, pois, umas imagens das vossas hemorróidas e dos vossos ratos, que andam destruindo a terra, e dai glória ao Deus de Israel; porventura aliviará a sua mão de cima de vós, e de cima do vosso deus, e de cima da vossa terra.
6 Wherefore then do ye harden|strong="H3513" your hearts|strong="H3824", as the Egyptians|strong="H4714" and Pharaoh|strong="H6547" hardened|strong="H3513" their hearts|strong="H3820"? when he had wrought wonderfully|strong="H5953" among them, did they not let the people go|strong="H7971", and they departed|strong="H3212"?
6 Por que, pois, endureceríeis o vosso coração, como os egípcios e Faraó endureceram os seus corações? Porventura depois de os haver tratado tão mal, os não deixaram ir, e eles não se foram?
7 Now therefore make|strong="H6213" a|strong="H0259" new|strong="H2319" cart|strong="H5699", and take|strong="H3947" two|strong="H8147" milch|strong="H5763" kine|strong="H6510", on which there hath come|strong="H5927" no yoke|strong="H5923", and tie|strong="H0631" the kine|strong="H6510" to the cart|strong="H5699", and bring|strong="H7725" their calves|strong="H1121" home|strong="H1004" from them|strong="H0310":
7 Agora, pois, tomai e fazei-vos um carro novo, e tomai duas vacas com crias, sobre as quais não tenha subido o jugo, e atai as vacas ao carro, e tirai delas os seus bezerros e levai-os para casa.
8 And take|strong="H3947" the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and lay|strong="H5414" it upon the cart|strong="H5699"; and put|strong="H7760" the jewels|strong="H3627" of gold|strong="H2091", which ye return|strong="H7725" him for a trespass offering|strong="H0817", in a coffer|strong="H0712" by the side|strong="H6654" thereof; and send it away|strong="H7971", that it may go|strong="H1980".
8 Então tomai a arca do Senhor, e ponde-a sobre o carro, e colocai, num cofre, ao seu lado, as figuras de ouro que lhe haveis de oferecer em expiação da culpa, e assim a enviareis, para que se vá.
9 And see|strong="H7200", if it goeth up|strong="H5927" by the way|strong="H1870" of his own coast|strong="H1366" to Beth-shemesh|strong="H1053", then he hath done|strong="H6213" us this great|strong="H1419" evil|strong="H7451": but if not, then we shall know|strong="H3045" that it is not his hand|strong="H3027" that smote|strong="H5060" us; it was a chance|strong="H4745" that happened to us|strong="H1961".
9 Vede então: Se ela subir pelo caminho do seu termo a Bete-Semes, foi ele quem nos fez este grande mal; e, se não, saberemos que não nos tocou a sua mão, e que isto nos sucedeu por acaso.
10 And the men|strong="H0582" did so|strong="H6213"; and took|strong="H3947" two|strong="H8147" milch|strong="H5763" kine|strong="H6510", and tied|strong="H0631" them to the cart|strong="H5699", and shut up|strong="H3607" their calves|strong="H1121" at home|strong="H1004":
10 E assim fizeram aqueles homens, e tomaram duas vacas que criavam, e as ataram ao carro; e os seus bezerros encerraram em casa.
11 And they laid|strong="H7760" the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* upon the cart|strong="H5699", and the coffer|strong="H0712" with the mice|strong="H5909" of gold|strong="H2091" and the images|strong="H6754" of their emerods|strong="H2914".
11 E puseram a arca do Senhor sobre o carro, como também o cofre com os ratos de ouro e com as imagens das suas hemorróidas.
12 And the kine|strong="H6510" took the straight|strong="H3474" way|strong="H1870" to the way|strong="H1870" of Beth-shemesh|strong="H1053", and went along|strong="H1980" the highway|strong="H4546", lowing|strong="H1600" as they went|strong="H1980", and turned not aside|strong="H5493" to the right hand|strong="H3225" or to the left|strong="H8040"; and the lords|strong="H5633" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" went|strong="H1980" after|strong="H0310" them unto the border|strong="H1366" of Beth-shemesh|strong="H1053".
12 Então as vacas se encaminharam diretamente pelo caminho de Bete-Semes, e seguiam um mesmo caminho, andando e berrando, sem se desviarem, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda; e os príncipes dos filisteus foram atrás delas, até ao termo de Bete-Semes.
13 And they of Beth-shemesh|strong="H1053" were reaping|strong="H7114" their wheat|strong="H2406" harvest|strong="H7105" in the valley|strong="H6010": and they lifted up|strong="H5375" their eyes|strong="H5869", and saw|strong="H7200" the ark|strong="H0727", and rejoiced|strong="H8055" to see|strong="H7200" it.
13 E andavam os de Bete-Semes fazendo a sega do trigo no vale, e, levantando os seus olhos, viram a arca, e, vendo-a, se alegraram.
14 And the cart|strong="H5699" came|strong="H0935" into the field|strong="H7704" of Joshua|strong="H3091", a Beth-shemite|strong="H1030", and stood|strong="H5975" there, where there was a great|strong="H1419" stone|strong="H0068": and they clave|strong="H1234" the wood|strong="H6086" of the cart|strong="H5699", and offered|strong="H5927" the kine|strong="H6510" a burnt offering|strong="H5930" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
14 E o carro veio ao campo de Josué, o bete-semita, e parou ali onde havia uma grande pedra. E fenderam a madeira do carro, e ofereceram as vacas ao Senhor em holocausto.
15 And the Levites|strong="H3881" took down|strong="H3381" the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and the coffer|strong="H0712" that was with it, wherein the jewels|strong="H3627" of gold|strong="H2091" were, and put|strong="H7760" them on the great|strong="H1419" stone|strong="H0068": and the men|strong="H0582" of Beth-shemesh|strong="H1053" offered|strong="H5927" burnt offerings|strong="H5930" and sacrificed|strong="H2076" sacrifices|strong="H2077" the same day|strong="H3117" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
15 E os levitas desceram a arca do Senhor, como também o cofre que estava junto a ela, em que estavam os objetos de ouro, e puseram-nos sobre aquela grande pedra; e os homens de Bete-Semes ofereceram holocaustos e sacrifícios ao Senhor no mesmo dia.
16 And when the five|strong="H2568" lords|strong="H5633" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" had seen|strong="H7200" it, they returned|strong="H7725" to Ekron|strong="H6138" the same day|strong="H3117".
16 E, vendo aquilo os cinco príncipes dos filisteus, voltaram para Ecrom no mesmo dia.
17 And these are the golden|strong="H2091" emerods|strong="H2914" which the Philistines|strong="H6430" returned|strong="H7725" for a trespass offering|strong="H0817" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; for Ashdod|strong="H0795" one|strong="H0259", for Gaza|strong="H5804" one|strong="H0259", for Askelon|strong="H0831" one|strong="H0259", for Gath|strong="H1661" one|strong="H0259", for Ekron|strong="H6138" one|strong="H0259";
17 Estas, pois, são as hemorróidas de ouro que enviaram os filisteus ao Senhor em expiação da culpa: Por Asdode uma, por Gaza outra, por Ascalom outra, por Gate outra, por Ecrom outra.
18 And the golden|strong="H2091" mice|strong="H5909", according to the number|strong="H4557" of all the cities|strong="H5892" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" belonging to the five|strong="H2568" lords|strong="H5633", both of fenced|strong="H4013" cities|strong="H5892", and of country|strong="H6521" villages|strong="H3724", even unto the great|strong="H1419" stone of Abel|strong="H0059", whereon they set down|strong="H3240" the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: which stone remaineth unto this day|strong="H3117" in the field|strong="H7704" of Joshua|strong="H3091", the Beth-shemite|strong="H1030".
18 Como também os ratos de ouro, segundo o número de todas as cidades dos filisteus, pertencentes aos cinco príncipes, desde as cidades fortificadas até às aldeias, e até Abel. A grande pedra, sobre a qual puseram a arca do Senhor, ainda está até ao dia de hoje no campo de Josué, o bete-semita.
19 And he smote|strong="H5221" the men|strong="H0376" of Beth-shemesh|strong="H1053", because they had looked|strong="H7200" into the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, even he smote|strong="H5221" of the people|strong="H5971" fifty|strong="H2572" thousand|strong="H0505" and threescore and ten|strong="H7657" men|strong="H0582": and the people|strong="H5971" lamented|strong="H0056", because the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had smitten|strong="H5221" many of the people|strong="H5971" with a great|strong="H1419" slaughter|strong="H4347".
19 E o Senhor feriu os homens de Bete-Semes, porquanto olharam para dentro da arca do Senhor; feriu do povo cinqüenta mil e setenta homens; então o povo se entristeceu, porquanto o Senhor fizera tão grande estrago entre o povo.
20 And the men|strong="H0582" of Beth-shemesh|strong="H1053" said|strong="H0559", Who is able|strong="H3201" to stand|strong="H5975" before|strong="H6440" this holy|strong="H6918" \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430"? and to whom shall he go up|strong="H5927" from us?
20 Então disseram os homens de Bete-Semes: Quem poderia subsistir perante este santo Senhor Deus? E a quem subirá de nós?
21 And they sent|strong="H7971" messengers|strong="H4397" to the inhabitants|strong="H3427" of Kirjath-jearim|strong="H7157", saying|strong="H0559", The Philistines|strong="H6430" have brought again|strong="H7725" the ark|strong="H0727" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; come ye down|strong="H3381", and fetch it up|strong="H5927" to you.
21 Enviaram, pois, mensageiros aos habitantes de Quiriate-Jearim, dizendo: Os filisteus remeteram a arca do Senhor; descei, pois, e fazei-a subir para vós.
