1 And when the queen|strong="H4436" of Sheba|strong="H7614" heard|strong="H8085" of the fame|strong="H8088" of Solomon|strong="H8010" concerning the name|strong="H8034" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, she came|strong="H0935" to prove|strong="H5254" him with hard questions|strong="H2420".
2 And she came|strong="H0935" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389" with a very|strong="H3966" great|strong="H3515" train|strong="H2428", with camels|strong="H1581" that bare|strong="H5375" spices|strong="H1314", and very|strong="H3966" much|strong="H7227" gold|strong="H2091", and precious|strong="H3368" stones|strong="H0068": and when she was come|strong="H0935" to Solomon|strong="H8010", she communed|strong="H1696" with him of all that was in her heart|strong="H3824".
3 And Solomon|strong="H8010" told|strong="H5046" her all her questions|strong="H1697": there was not any thing|strong="H1697" hid|strong="H5956" from the king|strong="H4428", which he told|strong="H5046" her not.
4 And when the queen|strong="H4436" of Sheba|strong="H7614" had seen|strong="H7200" all Solomon’s|strong="H8010" wisdom|strong="H2451", and the house|strong="H1004" that he had built|strong="H1129",
5 And the meat|strong="H3978" of his table|strong="H7979", and the sitting|strong="H4186" of his servants|strong="H5650", and the attendance|strong="H4612" of his ministers|strong="H8334", and their apparel|strong="H4403", and his cupbearers|strong="H8248", and his ascent|strong="H5930" by which he went up|strong="H5927" unto the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*; there was no more spirit|strong="H7307" in her.
6 And she said|strong="H0559" to the king|strong="H4428", It was a true|strong="H0571" report|strong="H1697" that I heard|strong="H8085" in mine own land|strong="H0776" of thy acts|strong="H1697" and of thy wisdom|strong="H2451".
7 Howbeit I believed|strong="H0539" not the words|strong="H1697", until I came|strong="H0935", and mine eyes|strong="H5869" had seen|strong="H7200" it: and, behold, the half|strong="H2677" was not told|strong="H5046" me: thy wisdom|strong="H2451" and prosperity|strong="H2896" exceedeth|strong="H3254" the fame|strong="H8052" which I heard|strong="H8085".
8 Happy|strong="H0835" are thy men|strong="H0582", happy|strong="H0835" are these thy servants|strong="H5650", which stand|strong="H5975" continually|strong="H8548" before|strong="H6440" thee, and that hear|strong="H8085" thy wisdom|strong="H2451".
9 Blessed|strong="H1288" be the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* thy God|strong="H0430", which delighted|strong="H2654" in thee, to set|strong="H5414" thee on the throne|strong="H3678" of Israel|strong="H3478": because the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* loved|strong="H0160" Israel|strong="H3478" for ever|strong="H5769", therefore made|strong="H7760" he thee king|strong="H4428", to do|strong="H6213" judgment|strong="H4941" and justice|strong="H6666".
10 And she gave|strong="H5414" the king|strong="H4428" an hundred|strong="H3967" and twenty|strong="H6242" talents|strong="H3603" of gold|strong="H2091", and of spices|strong="H1314" very|strong="H3966" great store|strong="H7235", and precious|strong="H3368" stones|strong="H0068": there came|strong="H0935" no more such|strong="H1931" abundance|strong="H7230" of spices|strong="H1314" as these which the queen|strong="H4436" of Sheba|strong="H7614" gave|strong="H5414" to king|strong="H4428" Solomon|strong="H8010".
11 And the navy|strong="H0590" also of Hiram|strong="H2438", that brought|strong="H5375" gold|strong="H2091" from Ophir|strong="H0211", brought in|strong="H0935" from Ophir|strong="H0211" great|strong="H3966" plenty|strong="H7235" of almug|strong="H0484" trees|strong="H6086", and precious|strong="H3368" stones|strong="H0068".
12 And the king|strong="H4428" made|strong="H6213" of the almug|strong="H0484" trees|strong="H6086" pillars|strong="H4552" for the house|strong="H1004" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and for the king’s|strong="H4428" house|strong="H1004", harps|strong="H3658" also and psalteries|strong="H5035" for singers|strong="H7891": there came|strong="H0935" no such almug|strong="H0484" trees|strong="H6086", nor were seen|strong="H7200" unto this day|strong="H3117".
13 And king|strong="H4428" Solomon|strong="H8010" gave|strong="H5414" unto the queen|strong="H4436" of Sheba|strong="H7614" all her desire|strong="H2656", whatsoever she asked|strong="H7592", beside that which Solomon|strong="H8010" gave|strong="H5414" her of his royal|strong="H4428" bounty|strong="H3027". So she turned|strong="H6437" and went|strong="H3212" to her own country|strong="H0776", she and her servants|strong="H5650".
14 Now the weight|strong="H4948" of gold|strong="H2091" that came|strong="H0935" to Solomon|strong="H8010" in one|strong="H0259" year|strong="H8141" was six|strong="H8337" hundred|strong="H3967" threescore|strong="H8346" and six|strong="H8337" talents|strong="H3603" of gold|strong="H2091",
15 Beside that he had of the merchantmen|strong="H0582", and of the traffick|strong="H4536" of the spice merchants|strong="H7402", and of all the kings|strong="H4428" of Arabia|strong="H6153", and of the governors|strong="H6346" of the country|strong="H0776".
16 And king|strong="H4428" Solomon|strong="H8010" made|strong="H6213" two hundred|strong="H3967" targets|strong="H6793" of beaten|strong="H7820" gold|strong="H2091": six|strong="H8337" hundred|strong="H3967" shekels of gold|strong="H2091" went|strong="H5927" to one|strong="H0259" target|strong="H6793".
17 And he made three|strong="H7969" hundred|strong="H3967" shields|strong="H4043" of beaten|strong="H7820" gold|strong="H2091"; three|strong="H7969" pound|strong="H4488" of gold|strong="H2091" went|strong="H5927" to one|strong="H0259" shield|strong="H4043": and the king|strong="H4428" put|strong="H5414" them in the house|strong="H1004" of the forest|strong="H3293" of Lebanon|strong="H3844".
18 Moreover the king|strong="H4428" made|strong="H6213" a great|strong="H1419" throne|strong="H3678" of ivory|strong="H8127", and overlaid|strong="H6823" it with the best|strong="H6338" gold|strong="H2091".
19 The throne|strong="H3678" had six|strong="H8337" steps|strong="H4609", and the top|strong="H7218" of the throne|strong="H3678" was round|strong="H5696" behind|strong="H0310": and there were stays|strong="H3027" on either side on the place|strong="H4725" of the seat|strong="H7675", and two|strong="H8147" lions|strong="H0738" stood|strong="H5975" beside|strong="H0681" the stays|strong="H3027".
20 And twelve|strong="H8147" lions|strong="H0738" stood|strong="H5975" there on the one side and on the other upon the six|strong="H8337" steps|strong="H4609": there was not the like|strong="H3651" made|strong="H6213" in any kingdom|strong="H4467".
21 And all king|strong="H4428" Solomon’s|strong="H8010" drinking|strong="H4945" vessels|strong="H3627" were of gold|strong="H2091", and all the vessels|strong="H3627" of the house|strong="H1004" of the forest|strong="H3293" of Lebanon|strong="H3844" were of pure|strong="H5462" gold|strong="H2091"; none were of silver|strong="H3701": it was nothing|strong="H3972" accounted|strong="H2803" of in the days|strong="H3117" of Solomon|strong="H8010".
22 For the king|strong="H4428" had at sea|strong="H3220" a navy|strong="H0590" of Tharshish|strong="H8659" with the navy|strong="H0590" of Hiram|strong="H2438": once|strong="H0259" in three|strong="H7969" years|strong="H8141" came|strong="H0935" the navy|strong="H0590" of Tharshish|strong="H8659", bringing|strong="H5375" gold|strong="H2091", and silver|strong="H3701", ivory|strong="H8143", and apes|strong="H6971", and peacocks|strong="H8500".
23 So king|strong="H4428" Solomon|strong="H8010" exceeded|strong="H1431" all the kings|strong="H4428" of the earth|strong="H0776" for riches|strong="H6239" and for wisdom|strong="H2451".
24 And all the earth|strong="H0776" sought|strong="H1245" to|strong="H6440" Solomon|strong="H8010", to hear|strong="H8085" his wisdom|strong="H2451", which God|strong="H0430" had put|strong="H5414" in his heart|strong="H3820".
25 And they brought|strong="H0935" every man|strong="H0376" his present|strong="H4503", vessels|strong="H3627" of silver|strong="H3701", and vessels|strong="H3627" of gold|strong="H2091", and garments|strong="H8008", and armour|strong="H5402", and spices|strong="H1314", horses|strong="H5483", and mules|strong="H6505", a rate|strong="H1697" year|strong="H8141" by year|strong="H8141".
26 And Solomon|strong="H8010" gathered together|strong="H0622" chariots|strong="H7393" and horsemen|strong="H6571": and he had a thousand|strong="H0505" and four|strong="H0702" hundred|strong="H3967" chariots|strong="H7393", and twelve|strong="H8147" thousand|strong="H0505" horsemen|strong="H6571", whom he bestowed|strong="H5148" in the cities|strong="H5892" for chariots|strong="H7393", and with the king|strong="H4428" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
27 And the king|strong="H4428" made|strong="H5414" silver|strong="H3701" to be in Jerusalem|strong="H3389" as stones|strong="H0068", and cedars|strong="H0730" made|strong="H5414" he to be as the sycomore trees|strong="H8256" that are in the vale|strong="H8219", for abundance|strong="H7230".
28 And Solomon|strong="H8010" had horses|strong="H5483" brought|strong="H4161" out of Egypt|strong="H4714", and linen yarn|strong="H4723": the king’s|strong="H4428" merchants|strong="H5503" received|strong="H3947" the linen yarn|strong="H4723" at a price|strong="H4242".
29 And a chariot|strong="H4818" came up|strong="H5927" and went out|strong="H3318" of Egypt|strong="H4714" for six|strong="H8337" hundred|strong="H3967" shekels of silver|strong="H3701", and an horse|strong="H5483" for an hundred|strong="H3967" and fifty|strong="H2572": and so for all the kings|strong="H4428" of the Hittites|strong="H2850", and for the kings|strong="H4428" of Syria|strong="H0758", did they bring them out|strong="H3318" by their means|strong="H3027".
