VC Versão Católica
1 Wherefore|strong="G3767" laying aside|strong="G0659" all|strong="G3956" malice|strong="G2549", and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" guile|strong="G1388", and|strong="G2532" hypocrisies|strong="G5272", and|strong="G2532" envies|strong="G5355", and|strong="G2532" all|strong="G3956" evil speakings|strong="G2636",
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 As|strong="G5613" newborn|strong="G0738" babes|strong="G1025", desire|strong="G1971" the sincere|strong="G0097" milk|strong="G1051" of the word|strong="G3050", that|strong="G2443" ye may grow|strong="G0837" thereby|strong="G1722":
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 If so be|strong="G1512" ye have tasted|strong="G1089" that|strong="G3754" the Lord|strong="G2962" is gracious|strong="G5543".
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 To|strong="G4314" whom|strong="G3739" coming|strong="G4334", as unto a living|strong="G2198" stone|strong="G3037", disallowed|strong="G0593" indeed|strong="G3303" of|strong="G5259" men|strong="G0444", but|strong="G1161" chosen|strong="G1588" of|strong="G3844" God|strong="G2316", and precious|strong="G1784",
4 — ausente —
5 Ye|strong="G0846" also|strong="G2532", as|strong="G5613" lively|strong="G2198" stones|strong="G3037", are built up|strong="G3618" a spiritual|strong="G4152" house|strong="G3624", an holy|strong="G0040" priesthood|strong="G2406", to offer up|strong="G0399" spiritual|strong="G4152" sacrifices|strong="G2378", acceptable|strong="G2144" to God|strong="G2316" by|strong="G1223" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547".
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Wherefore|strong="G1352" also|strong="G2532" it is contained|strong="G4023" in|strong="G1722" the scripture|strong="G1124", Behold|strong="G2400", I lay|strong="G5087" in|strong="G1722" Sion|strong="G4622" a chief corner|strong="G0204" stone|strong="G3037", elect|strong="G1588", precious|strong="G1784": and|strong="G2532" he that believeth|strong="G4100" on|strong="G1909" him|strong="G0846" shall|strong="G2617" not|strong="G3756" be confounded|strong="G2617".
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Unto you|strong="G5213" therefore|strong="G3767" which|strong="G3588" believe|strong="G4100" he is precious|strong="G5092": but|strong="G1161" unto them which be disobedient|strong="G0544", the stone|strong="G3037" which|strong="G3739" the builders|strong="G3618" disallowed|strong="G0593", the same|strong="G3778" is made|strong="G1096" the head|strong="G2776" of the corner|strong="G1137",
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 And|strong="G2532" a stone|strong="G3037" of stumbling|strong="G4348", and|strong="G2532" a rock|strong="G4073" of offence|strong="G4625", even to them which|strong="G3739" stumble at|strong="G4350" the word|strong="G3056", being disobedient|strong="G0544": whereunto|strong="G1519" also|strong="G2532" they were appointed|strong="G5087".
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 But|strong="G1161" ye|strong="G5210" are a chosen|strong="G1588" generation|strong="G1085", a royal|strong="G0934" priesthood|strong="G2406", an holy|strong="G0040" nation|strong="G1484", a peculiar|strong="G4047" people|strong="G2992"; that|strong="G3704" ye should shew forth|strong="G1804" the praises|strong="G0703" of him who hath called|strong="G2564" you|strong="G5209" out of|strong="G1537" darkness|strong="G4655" into|strong="G1519" his|strong="G0846" marvellous|strong="G2298" light|strong="G5457":
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Which|strong="G3588" in time past|strong="G4218" were not|strong="G3756" a people|strong="G2992", but|strong="G1161" are now|strong="G3568" the people|strong="G2992" of God|strong="G2316": which|strong="G3588" had|strong="G1653" not|strong="G3756" obtained mercy|strong="G1653", but|strong="G1161" now|strong="G3568" have obtained mercy|strong="G1653".
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Dearly beloved|strong="G0027", I beseech|strong="G3870" you as|strong="G5613" strangers|strong="G3941" and|strong="G2532" pilgrims|strong="G3927", abstain|strong="G0567" from fleshly|strong="G4559" lusts|strong="G1939", which|strong="G3748" war|strong="G4754" against|strong="G2596" the soul|strong="G5590";
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Having|strong="G2192" your|strong="G5216" conversation|strong="G0391" honest|strong="G2570" among|strong="G1722" the Gentiles|strong="G1484": that|strong="G2443", whereas|strong="G1722" they speak against|strong="G2635" you|strong="G5216" as|strong="G5613" evildoers|strong="G2555", they may|strong="G1392" by|strong="G1537" your good|strong="G2570" works|strong="G2041", which they shall behold|strong="G2029", glorify|strong="G1392" God|strong="G2316" in|strong="G1722" the day|strong="G2250" of visitation|strong="G1984".
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Submit yourselves|strong="G5293" to every|strong="G3956" ordinance|strong="G2937" of man|strong="G0442" for|strong="G1223" the Lord’s sake|strong="G2962": whether it be|strong="G1535" to the king|strong="G0935", as|strong="G5613" supreme|strong="G5242";
13 — ausente —
14 Or|strong="G1535" unto governors|strong="G2232", as|strong="G5613" unto them that are sent|strong="G3992" by|strong="G1223" him|strong="G0846" for|strong="G1519" the punishment|strong="G1557" of evildoers|strong="G2555", and|strong="G1161" for the praise|strong="G1868" of them that do well|strong="G0017".
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 For|strong="G3754" so|strong="G3779" is|strong="G2076" the will|strong="G2307" of God|strong="G2316", that with well doing|strong="G0015" ye may put to silence|strong="G5392" the ignorance|strong="G0056" of foolish|strong="G0878" men|strong="G0444":
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 As|strong="G5613" free|strong="G1658", and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3361" using|strong="G2192" your liberty|strong="G1657" for|strong="G5613" a cloke|strong="G1942" of maliciousness|strong="G2549", but|strong="G0235" as|strong="G5613" the servants|strong="G1401" of God|strong="G2316".
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Honour|strong="G5091" all|strong="G3956" men. Love|strong="G0025" the brotherhood|strong="G0081". Fear|strong="G5399" God|strong="G2316". Honour|strong="G5091" the king|strong="G0935".
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Servants|strong="G3610", be subject|strong="G5293" to|strong="G1203" your masters|strong="G1203" with|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" fear|strong="G5401"; not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" to the good|strong="G0018" and|strong="G2532" gentle|strong="G1933", but|strong="G0235" also|strong="G2532" to the froward|strong="G4646".
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 For|strong="G1063" this|strong="G5124" is thankworthy|strong="G5485", if|strong="G1487" a man|strong="G5100" for|strong="G1223" conscience|strong="G4893" toward God|strong="G2316" endure|strong="G5297" grief|strong="G3077", suffering|strong="G3958" wrongfully|strong="G0095".
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 For|strong="G1063" what|strong="G4169" glory|strong="G2811" is it, if|strong="G1487", when|strong="G2532" ye be buffeted|strong="G2852" for your faults|strong="G0264", ye shall take it patiently|strong="G5278"? but|strong="G0235" if|strong="G1487", when ye do well|strong="G0015", and|strong="G2532" suffer|strong="G3958" for it, ye take it patiently|strong="G5278", this|strong="G5124" is acceptable|strong="G5485" with|strong="G3844" God|strong="G2316".
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 For|strong="G1063" even|strong="G1519" hereunto|strong="G5124" were ye called|strong="G2564": because|strong="G3754" Christ|strong="G5547" also|strong="G2532" suffered|strong="G3958" for|strong="G5228" us|strong="G2257", leaving|strong="G5277" us|strong="G2254" an example|strong="G5261", that|strong="G2443" ye should follow|strong="G1872" his|strong="G0846" steps|strong="G2487":
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Who|strong="G3739" did|strong="G4160" no|strong="G3756" sin|strong="G0266", neither|strong="G3761" was|strong="G2147" guile|strong="G1388" found|strong="G2147" in|strong="G1722" his|strong="G0846" mouth|strong="G4750":
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Who|strong="G3739", when he was reviled|strong="G3058", reviled|strong="G0486" not|strong="G3756" again|strong="G0486"; when he suffered|strong="G3958", he threatened|strong="G0546" not|strong="G3756"; but|strong="G1161" committed|strong="G3860" himself to him that judgeth|strong="G2919" righteously|strong="G1346":
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Who|strong="G3739" his own self|strong="G0846" bare|strong="G0399" our|strong="G2257" sins|strong="G0266" in|strong="G1722" his own|strong="G0846" body|strong="G4983" on|strong="G1909" the tree|strong="G3586", that|strong="G2443" we|strong="G2198", being dead|strong="G0581" to sins|strong="G0266", should live|strong="G2198" unto righteousness|strong="G1343": by whose|strong="G3739" stripes|strong="G3468" ye were healed|strong="G2390".
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 For|strong="G1063" ye were|strong="G2258" as|strong="G5613" sheep|strong="G4263" going astray|strong="G4105"; but|strong="G0235" are|strong="G1994" now|strong="G3568" returned|strong="G1994" unto|strong="G1909" the Shepherd|strong="G4166" and|strong="G2532" Bishop|strong="G1985" of your|strong="G5216" souls|strong="G5590".
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
