2 (For|strong="G2532" the life|strong="G2222" was manifested|strong="G5319", and|strong="G2532" we have seen|strong="G3708" it, and|strong="G2532" bear witness|strong="G3140", and|strong="G2532" shew|strong="G0518" unto you|strong="G5213" that|strong="G2222" eternal|strong="G0166" life|strong="G2222", which|strong="G3748" was|strong="G2258" with|strong="G4314" the Father|strong="G3962", and|strong="G2532" was manifested|strong="G5319" unto us|strong="G2254";)
3 That which|strong="G3739" we have seen|strong="G3708" and|strong="G2532" heard|strong="G0191" declare we|strong="G0518" unto you|strong="G5213", that|strong="G2443" ye|strong="G5210" also|strong="G2532" may have|strong="G2192" fellowship|strong="G2842" with|strong="G3326" us|strong="G2257": and|strong="G2532" truly|strong="G1161" our|strong="G2251" fellowship|strong="G2842" is with|strong="G3326" the Father|strong="G3962", and|strong="G2532" with|strong="G3326" his|strong="G0846" Son|strong="G5207" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547".
4 And|strong="G2532" these things|strong="G5023" write we|strong="G1125" unto you|strong="G5213", that|strong="G2443" your|strong="G5216" joy|strong="G5479" may be|strong="G5600" full|strong="G4137".
5 This|strong="G3778" then|strong="G2532" is|strong="G2076" the message|strong="G0031" which|strong="G3739" we have heard|strong="G0191" of|strong="G0575" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" declare|strong="G0312" unto you|strong="G5213", that|strong="G3754" God|strong="G2316" is|strong="G2076" light|strong="G5457", and|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G0846" is|strong="G2076" no|strong="G3756" darkness|strong="G4653" at all|strong="G3762".
6 If|strong="G1437" we say|strong="G2036" that|strong="G3754" we have|strong="G2192" fellowship|strong="G2842" with|strong="G3326" him|strong="G0846", and|strong="G2532" walk|strong="G4043" in|strong="G1722" darkness|strong="G4655", we lie|strong="G5574", and|strong="G2532" do|strong="G4160" not|strong="G3756" the truth|strong="G0225":
7 But|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1437" we walk|strong="G4043" in|strong="G1722" the light|strong="G5457", as|strong="G5613" he|strong="G0846" is|strong="G2076" in|strong="G1722" the light|strong="G5457", we have|strong="G2192" fellowship|strong="G2842" one|strong="G0240" with|strong="G3326" another|strong="G0240", and|strong="G2532" the blood|strong="G0129" of Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" his|strong="G0846" Son|strong="G5207" cleanseth|strong="G2511" us|strong="G2248" from|strong="G0575" all|strong="G3956" sin|strong="G0266".
8 If|strong="G1437" we say|strong="G2036" that|strong="G3754" we have|strong="G2192" no|strong="G3756" sin|strong="G0266", we deceive|strong="G4105" ourselves|strong="G1438", and|strong="G2532" the truth|strong="G0225" is|strong="G2076" not|strong="G3756" in|strong="G1722" us|strong="G2254".
9 If|strong="G1437" we confess|strong="G3670" our|strong="G2257" sins|strong="G0266", he is|strong="G2076" faithful|strong="G4103" and|strong="G2532" just|strong="G1342" to|strong="G2443" forgive|strong="G0863" us|strong="G2254" our sins|strong="G0266", and|strong="G2532" to cleanse|strong="G2511" us|strong="G2248" from|strong="G0575" all|strong="G3956" unrighteousness|strong="G0093".
10 If|strong="G1437" we say|strong="G2036" that|strong="G3754" we have|strong="G0264" not|strong="G3756" sinned|strong="G0264", we make|strong="G4160" him|strong="G0846" a liar|strong="G5583", and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G0846" word|strong="G3056" is|strong="G2076" not|strong="G3756" in|strong="G1722" us|strong="G2254".
