1 Now these are the divisions|strong="H4256" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175". The sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175"; Nadab|strong="H5070", and Abihu|strong="H0030", Eleazar|strong="H0499", and Ithamar|strong="H0385".
2 But Nadab|strong="H5070" and Abihu|strong="H0030" died|strong="H4191" before|strong="H6440" their father|strong="H0001", and had no children|strong="H1121": therefore Eleazar|strong="H0499" and Ithamar|strong="H0385" executed the priest’s office|strong="H3547".
3 And David|strong="H1732" distributed|strong="H2505" them, both Zadok|strong="H6659" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Eleazar|strong="H0499", and Ahimelech|strong="H0288" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Ithamar|strong="H0385", according to their offices|strong="H6486" in their service|strong="H5656".
4 And there were more|strong="H7227" chief|strong="H7218" men|strong="H1397" found|strong="H4672" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Eleazar|strong="H0499" than of the sons|strong="H1121" of Ithamar|strong="H0385"; and thus were they divided|strong="H2505". Among the sons|strong="H1121" of Eleazar|strong="H0499" there were sixteen|strong="H8337" chief men|strong="H7218" of the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001", and eight|strong="H8083" among the sons|strong="H1121" of Ithamar|strong="H0385" according to the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001".
5 Thus were they divided|strong="H2505" by lot|strong="H1486", one sort|strong="H0428" with another|strong="H0428"; for the governors|strong="H8269" of the sanctuary|strong="H6944", and governors|strong="H8269" of the house of God|strong="H0430", were of the sons|strong="H1121" of Eleazar|strong="H0499", and of the sons|strong="H1121" of Ithamar|strong="H0385".
6 And Shemaiah|strong="H8098" the son|strong="H1121" of Nethaneel|strong="H5417" the scribe|strong="H5608", one of the Levites|strong="H3881", wrote|strong="H3789" them before|strong="H6440" the king|strong="H4428", and the princes|strong="H8269", and Zadok|strong="H6659" the priest|strong="H3548", and Ahimelech|strong="H0288" the son|strong="H1121" of Abiathar|strong="H0054", and before the chief|strong="H7218" of the fathers|strong="H0001" of the priests|strong="H3548" and Levites|strong="H3881": one|strong="H0259" principal|strong="H0001" household|strong="H1004" being taken|strong="H0270" for Eleazar|strong="H0499", and one taken|strong="H0270" for Ithamar|strong="H0385".

30 The sons|strong="H1121" also of Mushi|strong="H4187"; Mahli|strong="H4249", and Eder|strong="H5740", and Jerimoth|strong="H3406". These were the sons|strong="H1121" of the Levites|strong="H3881" after the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001".
31 These likewise cast|strong="H5307" lots|strong="H1486" over against|strong="H5980" their brethren|strong="H0251" the sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175" in the presence|strong="H6440" of David|strong="H1732" the king|strong="H4428", and Zadok|strong="H6659", and Ahimelech|strong="H0288", and the chief|strong="H7218" of the fathers|strong="H0001" of the priests|strong="H3548" and Levites|strong="H3881", even the principal|strong="H7218" fathers|strong="H0001" over against|strong="H5980" their younger|strong="H6996" brethren|strong="H0251".
