But David|strong="H1732" tarried|strong="H3427" at Jerusalem|strong="H3389". And Joab|strong="H3097" smote|strong="H5221" Rabbah|strong="H7237", and destroyed|strong="H2040" it.
2 And David|strong="H1732" took|strong="H3947" the crown|strong="H5850" of their king|strong="H4428" from off his head|strong="H7218", and found|strong="H4672" it to weigh|strong="H4948" a talent|strong="H3603" of gold|strong="H2091", and there were precious|strong="H3368" stones|strong="H0068" in it; and it was set upon David’s|strong="H1732" head|strong="H7218": and he brought|strong="H3318" also exceeding|strong="H3966" much|strong="H7235" spoil|strong="H7998" out of the city|strong="H5892".
3 And he brought out|strong="H3318" the people|strong="H5971" that were in it, and cut|strong="H7787" them with saws|strong="H4050", and with harrows|strong="H2757" of iron|strong="H1270", and with axes|strong="H4050". Even so dealt|strong="H6213" David|strong="H1732" with all the cities|strong="H5892" of the children|strong="H1121" of Ammon|strong="H5983". And David|strong="H1732" and all the people|strong="H5971" returned|strong="H7725" to Jerusalem|strong="H3389".
4 And it came to pass after this|strong="H0310", that there arose|strong="H5975" war|strong="H4421" at Gezer|strong="H1507" with the Philistines|strong="H6430"; at which time|strong="H0227" Sibbechai|strong="H5444" the Hushathite|strong="H2843" slew|strong="H5221" Sippai|strong="H5598", that was of the children|strong="H3211" of the giant|strong="H7497": and they were subdued|strong="H3665".
5 And there was war|strong="H4421" again with the Philistines|strong="H6430"; and Elhanan|strong="H0445" the son|strong="H1121" of Jair|strong="H3265" slew|strong="H5221" Lahmi|strong="H3902" the brother|strong="H0251" of Goliath|strong="H1555" the Gittite|strong="H1663", whose spear|strong="H2595" staff|strong="H6086" was like a weaver’s|strong="H0707" beam|strong="H4500".
6 And yet again there was war|strong="H4421" at Gath|strong="H1661", where was a man|strong="H0376" of great stature|strong="H4060", whose fingers|strong="H0676" and toes|strong="H0676" were four|strong="H0702" and twenty|strong="H6242", six|strong="H8337" on each hand, and six|strong="H8337" on each foot: and he also was the son|strong="H3205" of the giant|strong="H7497".
7 But when he defied|strong="H2778" Israel|strong="H3478", Jonathan|strong="H3083" the son|strong="H1121" of Shimea|strong="H8092" David’s|strong="H1732" brother|strong="H0251" slew|strong="H5221" him.
8 These|strong="H0411" were born|strong="H3205" unto the giant|strong="H7497" in Gath|strong="H1661"; and they fell|strong="H5307" by the hand|strong="H3027" of David|strong="H1732", and by the hand|strong="H3027" of his servants|strong="H5650".
