1 And David|strong="H1732" consulted|strong="H3289" with the captains|strong="H8269" of thousands|strong="H0505" and hundreds|strong="H3967", and with every leader|strong="H5057".
1 E teve Davi conselho com os capitães dos milhares, e dos centos, e com todos os príncipes;
2 And David|strong="H1732" said|strong="H0559" unto all the congregation|strong="H6951" of Israel|strong="H3478", If it seem good|strong="H2895" unto you, and that it be of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* our God|strong="H0430", let us send|strong="H7971" abroad|strong="H6555" unto our brethren|strong="H0251" every where, that are left|strong="H7604" in all the land|strong="H0776" of Israel|strong="H3478", and with them also to the priests|strong="H3548" and Levites|strong="H3881" which are in their cities|strong="H5892" and suburbs|strong="H4054", that they may gather|strong="H6908" themselves unto us:
2 e disse Davi a toda a congregação de Israel: Se bem vos parece e se vem isso do Senhor , nosso Deus, enviemos depressa mensageiros a todos os nossos outros irmãos em todas as terras de Israel, e aos sacerdotes, e aos levitas com eles nas cidades e nos seus arrabaldes, para que se ajuntem conosco;
3 And let us bring again|strong="H5437" the ark|strong="H0727" of our God|strong="H0430" to us: for we enquired|strong="H1875" not at it in the days|strong="H3117" of Saul|strong="H7586".
3 e tornemos a trazer para nós a arca do nosso Deus; porque não a buscamos nos dias de Saul.
4 And all the congregation|strong="H6951" said|strong="H0559" that they would do so|strong="H6213": for the thing|strong="H1697" was right|strong="H3474" in the eyes|strong="H5869" of all the people|strong="H5971".
4 Então, disse toda a congregação que assim se fizesse; porque esse negócio pareceu reto aos olhos de todo o povo.
5 So David|strong="H1732" gathered|strong="H6950" all Israel|strong="H3478" together|strong="H6950", from Shihor|strong="H7883" of Egypt|strong="H4714" even unto the entering|strong="H0935" of Hemath|strong="H2574", to bring|strong="H0935" the ark|strong="H0727" of God|strong="H0430" from Kirjath-jearim|strong="H7157".
5 Ajuntou, pois, Davi a todo o Israel desde Sior do Egito até chegar a Hamate, para trazer a arca de Deus de Quiriate-Jearim.
6 And David|strong="H1732" went up|strong="H5927", and all Israel|strong="H3478", to Baalah|strong="H1173", that is, to Kirjath-jearim|strong="H7157", which belonged to Judah|strong="H3063", to bring up|strong="H5927" thence the ark|strong="H0727" of God|strong="H0430" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that dwelleth|strong="H3427" between the cherubims|strong="H3742", whose name|strong="H8034" is called|strong="H7121" on it.
6 E, então, Davi, com todo o Israel, subiu a Baalá e dali a Quiriate-Jearim, que está em Judá, para fazer subir dali a arca de Deus, o Senhor que habita entre os querubins, sobre a qual é invocado o seu nome.
7 And they carried|strong="H7392" the ark|strong="H0727" of God|strong="H0430" in a new|strong="H2319" cart|strong="H5699" out of the house|strong="H1004" of Abinadab|strong="H0041": and Uzza|strong="H5798" and Ahio|strong="H0283" drave|strong="H5090" the cart|strong="H5699".
7 E levaram a arca de Deus sobre um carro novo, da casa de Abinadabe; e Uzá e Aiô guiavam o carro.
8 And David|strong="H1732" and all Israel|strong="H3478" played|strong="H7832" before|strong="H6440" God|strong="H0430" with all their might|strong="H5797", and with singing|strong="H7892", and with harps|strong="H3658", and with psalteries|strong="H5035", and with timbrels|strong="H8596", and with cymbals|strong="H4700", and with trumpets|strong="H2689".
8 Davi e todo o Israel alegravam-se perante Deus, com toda a sua força; em cânticos, com harpas, e com alaúdes, e com tamboris, e com címbalos, e com trombetas.
9 And when they came|strong="H0935" unto the threshingfloor|strong="H1637" of Chidon|strong="H3592", Uzza|strong="H5798" put forth|strong="H7971" his hand|strong="H3027" to hold|strong="H0270" the ark|strong="H0727"; for the oxen|strong="H1241" stumbled|strong="H8058".
9 E, chegando à eira de Quidom, estendeu Uzá a mão, para segurar a arca, porque os bois tropeçavam.
10 And the anger|strong="H0639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was kindled|strong="H2734" against Uzza|strong="H5798", and he smote|strong="H5221" him, because he put|strong="H7971" his hand|strong="H3027" to the ark|strong="H0727": and there he died|strong="H4191" before|strong="H6440" God|strong="H0430".
10 Então, se acendeu a ira do Senhor contra Uzá e o feriu, por ter estendido a mão à arca; e morreu ali perante Deus.
11 And David|strong="H1732" was displeased|strong="H2734", because the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* had made|strong="H6555" a breach|strong="H6556" upon Uzza|strong="H5798": wherefore that place|strong="H4725" is called|strong="H7121" Perez-uzza|strong="H6560" to this day|strong="H3117".
11 E Davi se encheu de tristeza de que o Senhor houvesse aberto brecha em Uzá; pelo que chamou àquele lugar Perez-Uzá, até ao dia de hoje.
12 And David|strong="H1732" was afraid|strong="H3372" of God|strong="H0430" that day|strong="H3117", saying|strong="H0559", How|strong="H1963" shall I bring|strong="H0935" the ark|strong="H0727" of God|strong="H0430" home to me?
12 E, naquele dia, temeu Davi ao Senhor, dizendo: Como trarei a mim a arca de Deus?
13 So David|strong="H1732" brought|strong="H5493" not the ark|strong="H0727" home to himself to the city|strong="H5892" of David|strong="H1732", but carried it aside|strong="H5186" into the house|strong="H1004" of Obed-edom|strong="H5654" the Gittite|strong="H1663".
13 Pelo que Davi não trouxe a arca a si, à Cidade de Davi; porém a fez retirar à casa de Obede-Edom, o geteu.
14 And the ark|strong="H0727" of God|strong="H0430" remained|strong="H3427" with the family|strong="H1004" of Obed-edom|strong="H5654" in his house|strong="H1004" three|strong="H7969" months|strong="H2320". And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* blessed|strong="H1288" the house|strong="H1004" of Obed-edom|strong="H5654", and all that he had.
14 Assim, ficou a arca de Deus com a família de Obede-Edom, três meses em sua casa; e o Senhor abençoou a casa de Obede-Edom e tudo quanto tinha.
