1 Now the Philistines|strong="H6430" fought|strong="H3898" against Israel|strong="H3478"; and the men|strong="H0376" of Israel|strong="H3478" fled|strong="H5127" from before|strong="H6440" the Philistines|strong="H6430", and fell down|strong="H5307" slain|strong="H2491" in mount|strong="H2022" Gilboa|strong="H1533".
1 E os filisteus pelejaram com Israel; e os homens de Israel fugiram de diante dos filisteus, e caíram mortos nas montanhas de Gilboa.
2 And the Philistines|strong="H6430" followed hard|strong="H1692" after|strong="H0310" Saul|strong="H7586", and after|strong="H0310" his sons|strong="H1121"; and the Philistines|strong="H6430" slew|strong="H5221" Jonathan|strong="H3129", and Abinadab|strong="H0041", and Malchi-shua|strong="H4444", the sons|strong="H1121" of Saul|strong="H7586".
2 E os filisteus perseguiram a Saul e aos seus filhos e mataram a Jônatas, a Abinadabe e a Malquisua, filhos de Saul.
3 And the battle|strong="H4421" went sore|strong="H3513" against Saul|strong="H7586", and the archers|strong="H3384" hit|strong="H4672" him, and he was wounded|strong="H2342" of the archers|strong="H3384".
3 E a peleja se agravou contra Saul, e os flecheiros o alcançaram; e temeu muito aos flecheiros.
4 Then said|strong="H0559" Saul|strong="H7586" to his armourbearer|strong="H5375", Draw|strong="H8025" thy sword|strong="H2719", and thrust|strong="H1856" me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised|strong="H6189" come|strong="H0935" and abuse|strong="H5953" me. But his armourbearer|strong="H5375" would|strong="H0014" not; for he was sore|strong="H3966" afraid|strong="H3372". So Saul|strong="H7586" took|strong="H3947" a sword|strong="H2719", and fell|strong="H5307" upon it.
4 Então disse Saul ao seu escudeiro: Arranca a tua espada, e atravessa-me com ela; para que porventura não venham estes incircuncisos e escarneçam de mim. Porém o seu escudeiro não quis, porque temia muito; então tomou Saul a espada, e se lançou sobre ela.
5 And when his armourbearer|strong="H5375" saw|strong="H7200" that Saul|strong="H7586" was dead|strong="H4191", he fell|strong="H5307" likewise on the sword|strong="H2719", and died|strong="H4191".
5 Vendo, pois, o seu escudeiro que Saul estava morto, também ele se lançou sobre a espada e morreu.
6 So Saul|strong="H7586" died|strong="H4191", and his three|strong="H7969" sons|strong="H1121", and all his house|strong="H1004" died|strong="H4191" together|strong="H3162".
6 Assim morreram Saul e seus três filhos; e toda a sua casa morreu juntamente.
7 And when all the men|strong="H0376" of Israel|strong="H3478" that were in the valley|strong="H6010" saw|strong="H7200" that they fled|strong="H5127", and that Saul|strong="H7586" and his sons|strong="H1121" were dead|strong="H4191", then they forsook|strong="H5800" their cities|strong="H5892", and fled|strong="H5127": and the Philistines|strong="H6430" came|strong="H0935" and dwelt|strong="H3427" in them.
7 E, vendo todos os homens de Israel, que estavam no vale, que haviam fugido, e que Saul e seus filhos eram mortos, deixaram as suas cidades, e fugiram; então vieram os filisteus, e habitaram nelas.
8 And it came to pass on the morrow|strong="H4283", when the Philistines|strong="H6430" came|strong="H0935" to strip|strong="H6584" the slain|strong="H2491", that they found|strong="H4672" Saul|strong="H7586" and his sons|strong="H1121" fallen|strong="H5307" in mount|strong="H2022" Gilboa|strong="H1533".
8 E sucedeu que, no dia seguinte, vindo os filisteus a despojar os mortos, acharam a Saul e a seus filhos estirados nas montanhas de Gilboa.
9 And when they had stripped|strong="H6584" him, they took|strong="H5375" his head|strong="H7218", and his armour|strong="H3627", and sent|strong="H7971" into the land|strong="H0776" of the Philistines|strong="H6430" round about|strong="H5439", to carry tidings|strong="H1319" unto their idols|strong="H6091", and to the people|strong="H5971".
9 E o despojaram, e tomaram a sua cabeça e as suas armas, e as enviaram pela terra dos filisteus em redor, para o anunciarem a seus ídolos e ao povo.
10 And they put|strong="H7760" his armour|strong="H3627" in the house|strong="H1004" of their gods|strong="H0430", and fastened|strong="H8628" his head|strong="H1538" in the temple|strong="H1004" of Dagon|strong="H1712".
10 E puseram as suas armas na casa do seu deus, e a sua cabeça afixaram na casa de Dagom.
11 And when all Jabesh-gilead|strong="H3003" heard|strong="H8085" all that the Philistines|strong="H6430" had done|strong="H6213" to Saul|strong="H7586",
11 Ouvindo, pois, toda a Jabes de Gileade tudo quanto os filisteus fizeram a Saul,
12 They arose|strong="H6965", all the valiant|strong="H2428" men|strong="H0376", and took away|strong="H5375" the body|strong="H1480" of Saul|strong="H7586", and the bodies|strong="H1480" of his sons|strong="H1121", and brought|strong="H0935" them to Jabesh|strong="H3003", and buried|strong="H6912" their bones|strong="H6106" under the oak|strong="H0424" in Jabesh|strong="H3003", and fasted|strong="H6684" seven|strong="H7651" days|strong="H3117".
12 Então todos os homens valorosos se levantaram, e tomaram o corpo de Saul, e os corpos de seus filhos, e os trouxeram a Jabes; e sepultaram os seus ossos debaixo de um carvalho em Jabes, e jejuaram sete dias.
13 So Saul|strong="H7586" died|strong="H4191" for his transgression|strong="H4604" which he committed|strong="H4603" against the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, even against the word|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, which he kept|strong="H8104" not, and also for asking|strong="H7592" counsel of one that had a familiar spirit|strong="H0178", to enquire|strong="H1875" of it;
13 Assim morreu Saul por causa da transgressão que cometeu contra o Senhor, por causa da palavra do Senhor, a qual não havia guardado; e também porque buscou a adivinhadora para a consultar.
14 And enquired|strong="H1875" not of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: therefore he slew|strong="H4191" him, and turned|strong="H5437" the kingdom|strong="H4410" unto David|strong="H1732" the son|strong="H1121" of Jesse|strong="H3448".
14 E não buscou ao Senhor, que por isso o matou, e transferiu o reino a Davi, filho de Jessé.
