1 Iesu ghe mene poppooaa etaira tale kiukiu niaimatoonga, ghe ue va,
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 “Ararimangali ngepona liu eteva nonginaaili kingi eteva ghe aimonomonosiaala ninamanama ateae tale nilai eteae ta natuna.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Ghe suula kapuna tau ngai nongonongo anna atoa tani laa ghauliaa ta kolokolona atoa tale ia o ninamanama ateae va la mae, me karika laghe annala tani mae.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 “Me ghe mene suula katoa tani kapuna tau ngai nongonongo anna. Ghe uela etaira va, ‘Am laa ue ta kolokolona atoa va: Ngaghaimonomonosiaala inana. 4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.

5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.

6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.

7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;

9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.

10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.

11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.

12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 “Me king ghe auliaala ta tau ngai uungu etoa va, ‘Am irila kkena me nimane, me am sau velue ghoa eleka tale aavoona me eghoa toka ngangngala me aingeresia ngalungaluna.’
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 “Poli oroi la kolokolo me malaki llo la suisuitoonga.”
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.

16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;

17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?

19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Me ghe kolomilala va, “See tootoona ateva me ararina ateae o?”
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Laghe liula me laghe uela va, “Siisa.” Me ghe uela etaira va, “Am taula llo voto kanna Siisa ta Siisa, me voto kanna God ta God.”
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Laghe soghiaala isaa o inangari laghe nongola, liuna avalua o me laghe kasu vuliela.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.

24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.

25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.

26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.

28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?

29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.

31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:

32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.

35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 Ghe uela va, “Tisa, sa ateva inangari tale isaa o inangari nipaopao namuu?”
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 Iesu ghe liula me ghe uela va, “‘Uaielousiaa Vaum ateva kapum Goto ia tale urunguitanim me tale maamauluaam me tale nannaam.’
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 Aitiutiu eteva o, me namuu ia tale isaa akapa inangari nipaopao.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 Me aiaaghaluene ateva, nongina aitiutiu eteva, ‘Uaielousiaa taumattu ngateva kalakalangina ia etam, nongina uaaielousieinio.’
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.

40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.

41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 “Vaalua am annaa ta Mesaea ngateva? See tuvuna ia?” Laghe liula me laghe uela va, “Tuvuna ia Deivit.”
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 Me ghe uela etaira va, “Me vaalua me Deivit, Spiriti eteva ghe tokala etana, me ghe kolola ia o taumattu ngateva va Vau ia? Ghe uela va,
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 — ausente —
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Arova Deivit ghe kolokoloa va ‘Kapuna vau eteva,’ vaalua me ghe mene nim tuvuna ia?”
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Karika teva ghe liula tani mene auliaa righi inangari. Ghe tiuaala o, karika teva ghe mene anna tani kolomia tale mene righi nikokkolomi.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
