1 He said and also to the disciples of himself: A man certain was rich, who had a steward; and this was accused to him as wasting the possessions of him.
1 Jesus contou a seguinte história a seus discípulos: “Um homem rico tinha um administrador que cuidava de seus negócios. Certo dia, foram-lhe contar que esse administrador estava desperdiçando seu dinheiro.
2 And having called him, he said to him: What this I hear concerning thee? render the account of the stewardship of thee; not for thou wilt be able longer to be steward.
2 Então mandou chamá-lo e disse: ‘O que é isso que ouço a seu respeito? Preste contas de sua administração, pois não pode mais permanecer nesse cargo’.
3 Said and in himself the steward: What shall I do, for the lord of me takes the stewardship from me? To dig not I have strength, to beg I am ashamed.
3 “O administrador pensou consigo: ‘E agora? Meu patrão vai me demitir. Não tenho força para trabalhar no campo, e sou orgulhoso demais para mendigar.
4 I know what i will do, that, when I may be put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into the house of themselves.
4 Já sei como garantir que as pessoas me recebam em suas casas quando eu for despedido!’.
5 And having summoned one each of the debtors of the lord of himself, he said to the first: How much owest thou to the lord of me?
5 “Então ele convocou todos que deviam dinheiro a seu patrão. Perguntou ao primeiro: ‘Quanto você deve a meu patrão?’.
6 He and said: A hundred baths of oil. And he said to him: Receive of thee the bill, and sitting down quickly write thou fifty.
6 O homem respondeu: ‘Devo cem tonéis de azeite’. Então o administrador lhe disse: ‘Pegue depressa sua conta e mude-a para cinquenta tonéis’.
7 Then to another he said: Thou and how much owest thou? He and said: A hundred cors of wheat. And he says to him: Receive of thee the bill, and write eighty.
7 “‘E quanto você deve a meu patrão?’, perguntou ao segundo. “Devo cem cestos grandes de trigo’, respondeu ele. E o administrador disse: ‘Tome sua conta e mude-a para oitenta cestos’.
8 And praised the lord the steward the unjust, because prudently he had done; for the sons of the age this more prudent above the sons of the light for the generation that of themselves are.
8 “O patrão elogiou o administrador desonesto por sua astúcia. E é verdade que os filhos deste mundo são mais astutos ao lidar com o mundo ao redor que os filhos da luz.
9 And I to you say: Make you to yourselves friends out of the mammon of the unjust; that, when you may fail, they may receive you into the agelasting tabernacles.
9 Esta é a lição: usem a riqueza deste mundo para fazer amigos. Assim, quando suas posses se extinguirem, eles os receberão num lar eterno.
10 He faithful in least also in much faithful is; and he in least unjust, and in much unjust is.
10 “Se forem fiéis nas pequenas coisas, também o serão nas grandes. Mas, se forem desonestos nas pequenas coisas, também o serão nas maiores.
11 If therefore in the unrighteous mammon faithful not you have been, the true who to you will entrust?
11 E, se vocês não são confiáveis ao lidar com a riqueza injusta deste mundo, quem lhes confiará a verdadeira riqueza?
12 and if in the another faithful not you have been, the yours who to you will give?
12 E, se não são fiéis com os bens dos outros, por que alguém lhes confiaria o que é de vocês?
13 No one domestic is able two lords to serve; either for the one he will hate, and the other he will love; or one he will cling to, and the other he will slight. Not you are able God to serve and mammon.
13 “Ninguém pode servir a dois senhores, pois odiará um e amará o outro; será dedicado a um e desprezará o outro. Vocês não podem servir a Deus e ao dinheiro”.
14 Heard and these all also the Pharisees, moneylovers being; and they mocked him.
14 Os fariseus, que tinham grande amor ao dinheiro, ouviam isso tudo e zombavam de Jesus.
15 And he said to them: You are those justifying yourselves in presence of the men; the but God knows the hearts of you; for that by men highly prized, an abomination in presence of the God.
15 Então ele disse: “Vocês gostam de parecer justos em público, mas Deus conhece o seu coração. Aquilo que este mundo valoriza é detestável aos olhos de Deus.
16 The law and the prophets till John; from then the kingdom of the God is preached, and every one into her presses.
16 “Até a chegada de João, a lei de Moisés e a mensagem dos profetas eram seus guias. Agora, porém, as boas-novas do reino de Deus estão sendo anunciadas, e todos estão ansiosos para entrar.
17 Easier but it is the heaven and the earth to pass away, than of the law one fine point to fail.
17 É mais fácil o céu e a terra desaparecerem que ser anulado até o menor traço da lei de Deus.
18 Every one who dismissing the wife of himself, and marrying another, commits adultery; and every one who her being divorced from an husband marrying, commits adultery.
18 “Assim, o homem que se divorcia de sua esposa e se casa com outra mulher comete adultério. E o homem que se casa com uma mulher divorciada também comete adultério”.
19 A man now certain was rich, and was clothed purple and fine linen, feasting every day sumptuously.
19 Jesus disse: “Havia um homem rico que se vestia de púrpura e linho fino e vivia sempre cercado de luxos.
20 A poor and certain was named Lazarus, who was laid at the gate of him being covered with sores,
20 À sua porta ficava um mendigo coberto de feridas chamado Lázaro.
21 and longing to be fed from the crumbs those falling from the table of the rich; but even the dogs coming licked the sores of him.
21 Ele ansiava comer o que caía da mesa do homem rico, e os cachorros vinham lamber suas feridas abertas.
22 It happened and to die the poor, and to be borne away him by the messengers into the bosom Abraham. Died and also the rich, and was buried.
22 “Por fim, o mendigo morreu, e os anjos o levaram para junto de Abraão. O rico também morreu e foi sepultado,
23 And in the unseen having lifted the eyes of himself, being in torment, sees the Abraham from a distance, and Lazarus in the bosoms of him.
23 e foi para o lugar dos mortos. Ali, em tormento, ele viu Abraão de longe, com Lázaro ao seu lado.
24 And he crying out said: O father Abraham, do thou pity me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of the finger of himself of water, and may cool the tongue of me; for I am in pain in the flame this.
24 “O rico gritou: ‘Pai Abraão, tenha compaixão de mim! Mande Lázaro aqui para que molhe a ponta do dedo em água e refresque minha língua. Estou em agonia nestas chamas!’.
25 Said and Abraham: O child, remember, that thou didst receive the things good of thee in the life of the, and Lazarus in like manner the things bad; now but this is comforted, thou and art in pain.
25 “Abraão, porém, respondeu: ‘Filho, lembre-se de que durante a vida você teve tudo que queria e Lázaro não teve coisa alguma. Agora, ele está aqui sendo consolado, e você está em agonia.
26 And besides all these, between of us and of you a chasm great has been fixed, so that those wishing to pass over hence to you, not is able, nor those thence to us cross over.
26 Além do mais, há entre nós um grande abismo. Ninguém daqui pode atravessar para o seu lado, e ninguém daí pode atravessar para o nosso’.
27 He said then: I beseech then thee, O father, that thou wouldst send him to the house of the father of me;
27 “Então o rico disse: ‘Por favor, Pai Abraão, pelo menos mande Lázaro à casa de meu pai,
28 I have for five brothers; that he may testify to them, that not also they may come into the place this of the torment.
28 pois tenho cinco irmãos e quero avisá-los para que não terminem neste lugar de tormento’.
29 Says to him Abraham: They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
29 “‘Moisés e os profetas já os avisaram’, respondeu Abraão. ‘Seus irmãos podem ouvir o que eles disseram.’
30 He and said: No, O father, Abraham; but if one from dead ones may go to them, they will reform.
30 “Então o rico disse: ‘Não, Pai Abraão! Mas, se alguém dentre os mortos lhes fosse enviado, eles se arrependeriam!’.
31 He said but to him: If Moses and the prophets not they hear, neither if one out of dead one should rise, will they be convinced.
31 “Abraão, porém, disse: ‘Se eles não ouvem Moisés e os profetas, não se convencerão, mesmo que alguém ressuscite dos mortos’”.
