1 And it happened in the to be him in a place certain praying, when he ceased, said one of the disciples of him to him: O lord, teach us to pray, as even John taught the disciples of himself.
1 E aconteceu que, estando ele a orar num certo lugar, quando acabou, lhe disse um dos seus discípulos: Senhor, ensina-nos a orar, como também João ensinou aos seus discípulos.
2 He said and to them: When you pray, say: O Father, be hallowed the name of thee; let come of thee the kingdom;
2 E ele lhes disse: Quando orardes, dizei: Pai nosso, que estás nos céus, santificado seja o teu nome; venha o teu reino; seja feita a tua vontade, assim na terra, como no céu.

3 Dá-nos cada dia o nosso pão cotidiano;
4 And for give to us the sins of us, even for ourselves forgive all owing us; and not thou mayest lead us into temptation.
4 E perdoa-nos os nossos pecados, pois também nós perdoamos a qualquer que nos deve, e não nos conduzas à tentação, mas livra-nos do mal.
5 And he said to them: Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight, and say to him: O friend, lend to me three loaves;
5 Disse-lhes também: Qual de vós terá um amigo, e, se for procurá-lo à meia-noite, e lhe disser: Amigo, empresta-me três pães,
6 because a friend of me has come from way to me, and not I have what I shall set for him.
6 Pois que um amigo meu chegou a minha casa, vindo de caminho, e não tenho que apresentar-lhe;
7 And he from within answering should say: Not to me trouble do thou cause; already the door has been shut, and the children of me with me in the bed are; not I am able having arisen to give to thee.
7 Se ele, respondendo de dentro, disser: Não me importunes; já está a porta fechada, e os meus filhos estão comigo na cama; não posso levantar-me para tos dar;
8 I say to you, if and not will give to him having arisen, because the to be of him a friend, through indeed the importunity of him arising he will give to him as many as he wants.
8 Digo-vos que, ainda que não se levante a dar-lhos, por ser seu amigo, levantar-se-á, todavia, por causa da sua importunação, e lhe dará tudo o que houver mister.
9 And I to you say: Ask you, and it shall be given to you; seek you, and you shall find; knock you, and it shall be opened to you.
9 E eu vos digo a vós: Pedi, e dar-se-vos-á; buscai, e achareis; batei, e abrir-se-vos-á;
10 All for the asking receives; and the seeking finds; and to the knocking it shall be opened.
10 Porque qualquer que pede recebe; e quem busca acha; e a quem bate abrir-se-lhe-á.
11 Which now of you the father shall ask the son bread, not a stone will give to him? or also a fish, not in place of a fish a serpent will give to him?
11 E qual o pai de entre vós que, se o filho lhe pedir pão, lhe dará uma pedra? Ou, também, se lhe pedir peixe, lhe dará por peixe uma serpente?
12 or also if he may ask an egg, not will give to him a scorpion?
12 Ou, também, se lhe pedir um ovo, lhe dará um escorpião?
13 If then you, evil being, know you gifts good to give to the children of you, how much more the Father that of heaven, will give a spirit holy to those asking him?
13 Pois se vós, sendo maus, sabeis dar boas dádivas aos vossos filhos, quanto mais dará o Pai celestial o Espírito Santo àqueles que lho pedirem?
14 And he was casting out a demon, and it was dumb; it came to pass and of the demon having come out, spake the dumb; and wondered the crowds.
14 E estava ele expulsando um demônio, o qual era mudo. E aconteceu que, saindo o demônio, o mudo falou; e maravilhou-se a multidão.
15 Some but of them said: By Beelzebul, a ruler of the demons, he cast out the demons;
15 Mas alguns deles diziam: Ele expulsa os demônios por Belzebu, príncipe dos demônios.
16 other but tempting, a sign from him sought from heaven.
16 E outros, tentando-o, pediam-lhe um sinal do céu.
17 He He but knowing of him the thoughts, said to them: Every kingdom, against herself having been divided, is brought to desolation, and house upon house fails.
17 Mas, conhecendo ele os seus pensamentos, disse-lhes: Todo o reino, dividido contra si mesmo, será assolado; e a casa, dividida contra si mesma, cairá.
18 If and also the adversary against himself has been divided, how shall stand the kingdom of him? for you say, by Beelzebul to cast out me the demons.
18 E, se também Satanás está dividido contra si mesmo, como subsistirá o seu reino? Pois dizeis que eu expulso os demônios por Belzebu.
19 If but I by Beelzebul cast out the demons, the sons of you by whom do they cast out? Through this judges of you they shall be.
19 E, se eu expulso os demônios por Belzebu, por quem os expulsam vossos filhos? Eles, pois, serão os vossos juízes.
20 If but by a finger of God I cast out the demons, then has suddenly come upon you the royal majesty of the God.
20 Mas, se eu expulso os demônios pelo dedo de Deus, certamente a vós é chegado o reino de Deus.
21 When the strong one having been armed should he guard the of himself a palace, in peace are the possessions of him;
21 Quando o valente guarda, armado, a sua casa, em segurança está tudo quanto tem;
22 as soon as but the stronger of him having entered should overcome him, the arms of him takes away, in which he had confided, and the spoils of him distributed.
22 Mas, sobrevindo outro mais valente do que ele, e vencendo-o, tira-lhe toda a sua armadura em que confiava, e reparte os seus despojos.
23 He not being with me, against me is; and he not gathering with me, scatters.
23 Quem não é comigo é contra mim; e quem comigo não ajunta, espalha.
24 When the unclean spirit may come out from the man, passes through dry places, seeking a resting place; and not finding, says: I will return into the house of me, whence I came out.
24 Quando o espírito imundo tem saído do homem, anda por lugares secos, buscando repouso; e, não o achando, diz: Tornarei para minha casa, de onde saí.
25 And having come it finds having been swept and having been adorned.
25 E, chegando, acha-a varrida e adornada.
26 Then it goes and takes with seven other spirits more evil of itself, and they having entered dwell there; and becomes the last of the man that worse of the first.
26 Então vai, e leva consigo outros sete espíritos piores do que ele e, entrando, habitam ali; e o último estado desse homem é pior do que o primeiro.
27 It happened and in to the to speak him these things, having lifted certain woman a voice out of the crowd, said to him: Blessed the womb that having carried thee, and breasts those thou hast sucked.
27 E aconteceu que, dizendo ele estas coisas, uma mulher dentre a multidão, levantando a voz, lhe disse: Bem-aventurado o ventre que te trouxe e os peitos em que mamaste.
28 He but said: Yes rather blessed those hearing the word of the God, and observing.
28 Mas ele disse: Antes bemaventurados os que ouvem a palavra de Deus e a guardam.
29 The and crowds gathering together, he began to say: The generation this evil is; a sign it seeks; and a sign not shall be given to her, except the sign of Jonas.
29 E, ajuntando-se a multidão, começou a dizer: Maligna é esta geração; ela pede um sinal; e não lhe será dado outro sinal, senão o sinal do profeta Jonas;
30 Even as for became Jonas a sign to the Ninevites, so will be also the son of the man, to the generation this.
30 Porquanto, assim como Jonas foi sinal para os ninivitas, assim o Filho do homem o será também para esta geração.
31 A queen of South will be raised in the judgment with the men of the generation this, and will condemn them; because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and lo, a greater of Solomon here.
31 A rainha do sul se levantará no juízo com os homens desta geração, e os condenará; pois até dos confins da terra veio ouvir a sabedoria de Salomão; e eis aqui está quem é maior do que Salomão.
32 Men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with the generation this, and will condemn her; because they reformed at the preaching of Jonas; and lo, a greater of Jonas here.
32 Os homens de Nínive se levantarão no juízo com esta geração, e a condenarão; pois se converteram com a pregação de Jonas; e eis aqui está quem é maior do que Jonas.
33 No one and a lamp having lighted, into a secret place places, neither under the cornmeasure, but on the lampstand, that those entering the light may see.
33 E ninguém, acendendo uma candeia, a põe em oculto, nem debaixo do alqueire, mas no velador, para que os que entram vejam a luz.
34 The lamp of the body is the eye; when therefore the eye of thee sound may be, also whole the body of thee enlightened is; when but evil may be, also the body of thee darkened.
34 A candeia do corpo é o olho. Sendo, pois, o teu olho simples, também todo o teu corpo será luminoso; mas, se for mau, também o teu corpo será tenebroso.
35 Take heed therefore, not the light that in thee darkness is.
35 Vê, pois, que a luz que em ti há não sejam trevas.
36 If therefore the body of thee whole is enlightened, not having any part dark, will be enlightened whole, as when the lamp by the brightness may enlighten thee.
36 Se, pois, todo o teu corpo é luminoso, não tendo em trevas parte alguma, todo será luminoso, como quando a candeia te ilumina com o seu resplendor.
37 In and the to have spoken, asked him a Pharisee certain that he might dine with him. Having entered and he reclined.
37 E, estando ele ainda falando, rogou-lhe um fariseu que fosse jantar com ele; e, entrando, assentou-se à mesa.
38 The and Pharisee seeing wondered, because not first he was dipped before the dinner.
38 Mas o fariseu admirou-se, vendo que não se lavara antes de jantar.
39 Said and the Lord to him: Now you the Pharisees the outside of the cup and of the platter you cleanse; the but inside of you is full of extortion and of evil.
39 E o Senhor lhe disse: Agora vós, os fariseus, limpais o exterior do copo e do prato; mas o vosso interior está cheio de rapina e maldade.
40 O unwise, not he having made the outside, also the inside made?
40 Loucos! Quem fez o exterior não fez também o interior?
41 But the things being within give you alms; and lo, all things clean to you is.
41 Antes dai esmola do que tiverdes, e eis que tudo vos será limpo.
42 But woe to you the Pharisees, for you tithe the mint, and the rue, and every potherb; and you pass by the justice and the love of the God. These things you ought to have done, and those not to omit.
42 Mas ai de vós, fariseus, que dizimais a hortelã, e a arruda, e toda a hortaliça, e desprezais o juízo e o amor de Deus. Importava fazer estas coisas, e não deixar as outras.
43 Woe to you the Pharisees, for you love the first seat in the synagogues, and the salutations in the markets.
43 Ai de vós, fariseus, que amais os primeiros assentos nas sinagogas, e as saudações nas praças.
44 Woe to you, for you are like the tombs those unseen, and the men, those walking over, not know.
44 Ai de vós, escribas e fariseus, hipócritas! que sois como as sepulturas que não aparecem, e os homens que sobre elas andam não o sabem.
45 Answering and one of the lawyers says to him: O teacher, these things saying also us thou reproachest.
45 E, respondendo um dos doutores da lei, disse-lhe: Mestre, quando dizes isso, também nos afrontas a nós.
46 He and said: Also to you the lawyers woe, for you load the men burdens oppressive, and yourselves with one of the fingers of you not you touch the burdens.
46 E ele lhe disse: Ai de vós também, doutores da lei, que carregais os homens com cargas difíceis de transportar, e vós mesmos nem ainda com um dos vossos dedos tocais essas cargas.
47 Woe to you, for you build the tombs of the prophets, the and fathers of you killed them.
47 Ai de vós que edificais os sepulcros dos profetas, e vossos pais os mataram.
48 Therefore you testify and you consent to the works of the fathers of you; for they indeed killed them, you and build of them the tombs.
48 Bem testificais, pois, que consentis nas obras de vossos pais; porque eles os mataram, e vós edificais os seus sepulcros.
49 Because of this and the wisdom of the God said: I will send to them prophets and apostles, and out of them they will kill and persecute;
49 Por isso diz também a sabedoria de Deus: Profetas e apóstolos lhes mandarei; e eles matarão uns, e perseguirão outros;
50 so that may be required the blood of all of the prophets, that being shed from a laying down of a world, from the generation this;
50 Para que desta geração seja requerido o sangue de todos os profetas que, desde a fundação do mundo, foi derramado;
51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zecharias that having perished between the altar and the house. Yes I say to you, it will be required from the generation this.
51 Desde o sangue de Abel, até ao sangue de Zacarias, que foi morto entre o altar e o templo; assim, vos digo, será requerido desta geração.
52 Woe to you the lawyers, for you took away the key of the knowledge; yourselves not you entered, and those entering you hindered.
52 Ai de vós, doutores da lei, que tirastes a chave da ciência; vós mesmos não entrastes, e impedistes os que entravam.
53 Saying and of him these things to them, began the scribes and the Pharisees greatly to be incensed, and to make speak offhand him about many things; trying to entrap him, seeking to each something out of the mouth of him, that they might accuse him.
53 E, dizendo-lhes ele isto, começaram os escribas e os fariseus a apertá-lo fortemente, e a fazê-lo falar acerca de muitas coisas,
54 — ausente —
54 Armando-lhe ciladas, e procurando apanhar da sua boca alguma coisa para o acusarem.
