1 Before and the feast of the passover, knowing the Jesus, that was come of himself the hour, that he should depart out of the world this to the world, to an end he loved them.
1 Ora, antes da festa da páscoa, sabendo Jesus que era chegada a sua hora de partir deste mundo para o Pai, e havendo amado os seus próprios que estavam no mundo, ele amou-os até o fim.
2 And supper being done, (the accuser already having put into the heart Judas of Simon Iscariot, that him he might betray,)
2 E, terminada a ceia, tendo já o diabo posto no coração de Judas Iscariotes, filho de Simão, que o traísse,
3 knowing the Jesus, that all things had given him the Father into the hands, and that from God he came out and to the God he goes;
3 Jesus, sabendo que o Pai lhe entregara todas as coisas em suas mãos, e que havia saído de Deus, e que ia para Deus,
4 rises from the supper, and puts off the mantles, and having taken a towel, girded himself.
4 levantou-se da ceia, colocou de lado as suas vestes e, tomando uma toalha, cingiu-se.
5 Afterward he puts water into the washbasin, and began to wash the feet of the disciples, and to wipe with the towel with which he was having been girded.
5 Depois, ele pôs água em uma bacia, e começou a lavar os pés dos discípulos, e a limpá-los com a toalha com a qual se cingia.
6 He comes then to Simon Peter; and says to him he: O lord, thou of me washest the feet?
6 Aproximou-se, então, de Simão Pedro; e Pedro lhe disse: Senhor, tu lavarás os meus pés?
7 Answered Jesus and said to him: What I do, thou not knowest now, thou shalt know but after these things.
7 Respondeu Jesus e disse-lhe: O que eu faço, tu não o sabes agora, mas depois tu saberás.
8 Says to him Peter: Not not thou mayest wash the feet of me into the age. Answered him the Jesus: If not I may wash thee, thou hast a part of me.
8 Disse-lhe Pedro: Tu nunca lavarás os meus pés. Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Se eu não lavá-los, tu não tens parte comigo.
9 Says to him Simon Peter: O lord, not the feet of me alone, but also the hands, and the head.
9 Disse-lhe Simão Pedro: Senhor, não só os meus pés, mas também minhas mãos e a minha cabeça.
10 Says to him the Jesus: He having been bathed not need has than the feet to wash, but is clean wholly; and you clean are, but not all.
10 Disse-lhe Jesus: Aquele que se lavou não necessita de lavar senão seus pés, porque no mais está todo limpo; e vós estais limpos, mas não todos.
11 He knew for the betraying him; on account of this he said: Not all clean you are.
11 Porque ele sabia quem o havia de trair; por isso, disse: Nem todos estais limpos.
12 When therefore he had washed the feet of them, and taken the mantles of himself, falling down again, he said to them: Know you what I have done to you:
12 Assim, após ter lavado os seus pés, tomou as suas vestes, e se assentando outra vez, ele disse-lhes: Entendeis o que eu vos tenho feito?
13 You call me: The teacher and the lord; and well you say; I am for.
13 Vós me chamais Mestre e Senhor; e dizeis bem, porque eu o sou.
14 If then I washed of you the feet, the lord and the teacher, also you are bound of one another to wash the feet.
14 Se, então, seu Senhor e Mestre vos lavou os pés, vós deveis também lavar os pés uns dos outros.
15 An example for I gave to you, that as I did to you, also you should do.
15 Porque eu vos dei um exemplo, para que, como eu vos fiz, façais vós também.
16 Indeed indeed I say to you, not is a slave greater of the lord of himself, nor a messenger greater of the sending him.
16 Na verdade, na verdade eu vos digo: O servo não é maior do que o seu senhor, nem o enviado maior do que aquele que o enviou.
17 If these things you know, blessed are you, if you should do them.
17 Se sabeis essas coisas, felizes são os que as praticam.
18 Not about all of you I speak; I know whom I chose; but, that the writing may be fulfilled: He eating with me the loaf, lifted up against me the heel of himself.
18 Eu não falo de todos vós, eu conheço aqueles que escolhi; mas para que possa se cumprir a escritura: O que come o pão comigo levantou contra mim o seu calcanhar.
19 From now I say to you, before the to happen, that when it may happen, you may believe, that I am.
19 Agora eu vos digo antes que aconteça, para que, quando acontecer, creiais que Eu Sou Ele.
20 Indeed indeed I say to you: He receiving if any one I may send, me receives; he and me receiving, receives him having sent me.
20 Na verdade, na verdade eu vos digo: Quem receber aquele que eu enviar, a mim recebe; e quem me recebe, recebe aquele que me enviou.
21 These things saying the Jesus was troubled in the spirit, and testified, and said: Indeed indeed I say to you, that one of you will betray me.
21 Tendo Jesus dito isso, turbou-se em espírito, e testificou, dizendo: Na verdade, na verdade eu vos digo que um de vós há de me trair.
22 Looked then to each other the disciples, doubting about whom he was speaking.
22 Então, os discípulos olhavam uns para os outros, duvidosos sobre de quem ele falava.
23 Was now reclining one of the disciples of him in the bosom of the Jesus, whom loved the Jesus.
23 Ora, achava-se reclinado sobre o peito de Jesus um de seus discípulos, aquele a quem Jesus amava.
24 Nods then to him Simon Peter, to ask who it might be concerning of whom he speaks.
24 Simão Pedro, portanto, acenou para ele, para perguntar quem era aquele de quem ele falava.
25 Falling and he on the breast of the Jesus, he says to him: O lord, who is it?
25 E, inclinando-se ele sobre o peito de Jesus, disse-lhe: Senhor, quem é este?
26 Answers the Jesus: He it is, to whom I have dipped the little piece shall give. And having dipped the little piece, he gives to Judas of Simon Iscariot.
26 Jesus respondeu: Ele é, aquele a quem eu der o bocado que eu mergulhei. E quando ele mergulhou o bocado, deu-o a Judas Iscariotes, filho de Simão.
27 And after the little piece, then answered into him the adversary. Says then to him the Jesus: What thou doest, do thou quickly.
27 E, após o bocado, entrou nele Satanás. Então, disse Jesus: O que tu fazes, faze-o depressa.
28 This now no one knew of those reclining with why he said to him.
28 Ora, nenhum homem na mesa sabia para que intenção lhe falara isso.
29 Some for thought, seeing that the box had the Judas, that says to him the Jesus: Buy what things need we have for the feast; or to the poor that something he should give.
29 Porque alguns deles pensavam que, como Judas tinha a bolsa, Jesus lhe tinha dito: Compra as coisas que nos são necessárias para a festa, ou que desse algo aos pobres.
30 Having taken then the little piece he immediately went out; it was and night.
30 Ele então tendo recebido o bocado, saiu imediatamente; e era noite.
31 When he went out, says the Jesus: Just now was glorified the son of the man, and the God was glorified in him.
31 Portanto, tendo ele saído, disse Jesus: Agora é glorificado o Filho do homem, e Deus é glorificado nele.
32 If the God was glorified in him, also the God will glorify him in himself, and immediately will glorify him.
32 Se Deus é glorificado nele, também Deus o glorificará em si mesmo, e imediatamente o glorificará nele.
33 O little children, yet a little with you I am. You will seek me; and as I said to the Jews: That where I go, you not are able to come; even to you I say now.
33 Filhinhos, ainda por um pouco eu estou convosco. Vós me buscareis; e como eu disse aos judeus: Para onde eu vou não podeis vós ir; eu também agora vos digo.
34 A commandment new I give to you, that you may love each other; as I loved you, that also you might love each other.
34 Um novo mandamento eu vos dou: Que vos ameis uns aos outros; assim como eu vos amei, que vós também vos ameis uns aos outros.
35 By this will know all that to me disciples you are, if love you have in each other.
35 Nisto todos os homens conhecerão que sois meus discípulos, se tiverdes amor uns aos outros.
36 Says to him Simon Peter: O lord, where goest thou? Answered him the Jesus: Where I go, not thou art able me now to follow; afterwards but thou shalt follow me.
36 Disse-lhe Simão Pedro: Senhor, para onde tu vais? Jesus lhe respondeu: Para onde eu vou, tu agora não podes me seguir, mas depois me seguirás.
37 Says to him Peter: O lord, why not I am able thee to follow now? the life of me in behalf of thee I will lay down.
37 Disse-lhe Pedro: Senhor, por que eu não posso seguir-te agora? Por ti darei a minha vida.
38 Answered him the Jesus: The life of thee in behalf of me wilt thou lay down? Indeed indeed I say to thee not not a cock will crow, till not thou wilt deny me thrice.
38 Respondeu-lhe Jesus: Tu darás a tua vida por minha causa? Na verdade, na verdade eu te digo: Não cantará o galo até que me tenhas negado por três vezes.
