1 A man and certain in Caesarea, by name Cornelius, a centurion of a cohort that being called Italian,
1 Havia em Cesaréia um homem chamado Cornélio, centurião do regimento conhecido como Italiano.
2 pious and fearing the God with all the house of himself, doing and alms many to the people, and praying of the God always;
2 Ele e toda a sua família eram piedosos e tementes a Deus; dava muitas esmolas ao povo e orava continuamente a Deus.
3 he saw in a vision clearly, about hour ninth of the day, a messenger of the God having come to him, and saying to him: O Cornelius.
3 Certo dia, por volta das três horas da tarde, ele teve uma visão. Viu claramente um anjo de Deus que se aproximava dele e dizia: "Cornélio! "
4 He and having looked steadily to him and afraid becoming, he said: What is it, O sir? He said and to him: The prayers of thee and the alms of thee went up for a memorial before the God.
4 Atemorizado, Cornélio olhou para ele e perguntou: "Que é, Senhor? " O anjo respondeu: "Suas orações e esmolas subiram como oferta memorial diante de Deus.
5 And now send into Joppa men, and send after Simon, who is surnamed Peter,
5 Agora, mande alguns homens a Jope para trazerem um certo Simão, também conhecido como Pedro,
6 he lodges with one Simon a tanner, to whom is a house by sea.
6 que está hospedado na casa de Simão, o curtidor de couro, que fica perto do mar".
7 When and went away the messenger, that speaking to him, having called two of the house servants of himself, and a soldier pious of those constantly attending him,
7 Depois que o anjo que lhe falou se foi, Cornélio chamou dois dos seus servos e um soldado piedoso dentre os seus auxiliares,
8 and having related to them all things, he sent them into the Joppa.
8 e, contando-lhes tudo o que tinha acontecido, enviou-os a Jope.
9 On the and morrow, pursuing the journey of them, and to the city drawing near, went up Peter to the roof to pray, about hour sixth.
9 No dia seguinte, por volta do meio dia, enquanto eles viajavam e se aproximavam da cidade, Pedro subiu ao terraço para orar.
10 He became and very hungry, and wished to eat; making ready and of them, fell on him a trance,
10 Tendo fome, queria comer; enquanto a refeição estava sendo preparada, caiu em êxtase.
11 and he beholds the heaven having been opened, and coming down a vessel certain like a sheet great, four ends having bound, and being lowered down to the earth;
11 Viu o céu aberto e algo semelhante a um grande lençol que descia à terra, preso pelas quatro pontas,
12 In which were all the fourfooted beasts of the earth and the wild beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the heaven;
12 contendo toda espécie de quadrúpedes, bem como de répteis da terra e aves do céu.
13 and came a voice to him: Having arisen, O Peter, sacrifice and eat.
13 Então uma voz lhe disse: "Levante-se, Pedro; mate e coma".
14 The but Peter said: By no means, O Lord; because never I ate any thing common or unclean.
14 Mas Pedro respondeu: "De modo nenhum, Senhor! Jamais comi algo impuro ou imundo! "
15 And a voice again a second time to him: What the God has cleansed, thou not pollute.
15 A voz lhe falou segunda vez: "Não chame impuro ao que Deus purificou".
16 This and was done for three times; and again was taken up the vessel into the heaven.
16 Isso aconteceu três vezes, e em seguida o lençol foi recolhido ao céu.
17 As and in himself was pondering the Peter, what might be the vision which he saw, even lo, the men those being sent from the Cornelius, having inquired for the house of Simon, stood at the gate;
17 Enquanto Pedro estava refletindo no significado da visão, os homens enviados por Cornélio descobriram onde era a casa de Simão e chegaram à porta.
18 and having called aloud they asked, if Simon he being called Peter here lodges.
18 Chamando, perguntaram se ali estava hospedado Simão, conhecido como Pedro.
19 The and Peter reflecting concerning the vision, said to him the spirit: Lo, men three are seeking thee;
19 Enquanto Pedro ainda estava pensando na visão, o Espírito lhe disse: "Simão, três homens estão procurando por você.
20 but having arisen do thou go down, and go with them, nothing doubting because I have sent them.
20 Portanto, levante-se e desça. Não hesite em ir com eles, pois eu os enviei".
21 Having gone down but Peter to the men, said: Lo, I am, whom you seek; what the cause, on account of which you are present?
21 Pedro desceu e disse aos homens: "Eu sou quem vocês estão procurando. Por que motivo vieram? "
22 They and said: Cornelius a centurion, a man just and fearing the God, being testified of and by whole of the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a messenger holy, to send after thee to the house of himself, and to hear words from thee.
22 Os homens responderam: "Viemos da parte do centurião Cornélio. Ele é um homem justo e temente a Deus, respeitado por todo o povo judeu. Um santo anjo lhe disse que o chamasse à sua casa, para que ele ouça o que você tem para dizer".
23 Having called in then them he lodged. On the and morrow having arisen he went out with them, and some of the brethren, those from Joppa, went with him.
23 Pedro os convidou a entrar e os hospedou. No dia seguinte Pedro partiu com eles, e alguns dos irmãos de Jope o acompanharam.
24 And on the morrow they entered into the Caesarea. The and Cornelius was expecting them, having assembled the relatives of himself and the intimate friends.
24 No outro dia chegaram a Cesaréia. Cornélio os esperava com seus parentes e amigos mais íntimos que tinha convidado.
25 When and came the to enter the Peter, having met him the Cornelius, having fallen to the feet, he worshipped.
25 Quando Pedro ia entrando na casa, Cornélio dirigiu-se a ele e prostrou-se aos seus pés, adorando-o.
26 The but Peter him raised up, saying: Do thou arise; also I myself a man am.
26 Mas Pedro o fez levantar-se, dizendo: "Levante-se, eu sou homem como você".
27 And talking with him, he went in, and finds having been assembled many.
27 Conversando com ele, Pedro entrou e encontrou ali reunidas muitas pessoas
28 He said and to them: You know, how unlawful it is for a man a Jew, to unite or come near to a foreigner; and to me the God has shown, not common or unclean to say a man.
28 e lhes disse: "Vocês sabem muito bem que é contra a nossa lei um judeu associar-se a um gentio ou mesmo visitá-lo. Mas Deus me mostrou que eu não deveria chamar impuro ou imundo a homem nenhum.
29 Therefore also without hesitation I came having been sent after. I ask therefore, for what reason you sent after me?
29 Por isso, quando fui procurado, vim sem qualquer objeção. Posso perguntar por que vocês me mandaram buscar? "
30 And the Cornelius said: From four days till this the hour, I was fasting, and the ninth hour praying in the house of me; and lo, a man, stood before me in clothing shining,
30 Cornélio respondeu: "Há quatro dias eu estava em minha casa orando a esta hora, às três horas da tarde. De repente, colocou-se diante de mim um homem com roupas resplandecentes
31 and he said: O Cornelius, heard of thee the prayer, and the alms of thee are remembered before the God.
31 e disse: ‘Cornélio, Deus ouviu sua oração e lembrou-se de suas esmolas.
32 Send therefore into Joppa, and call for Simon who is surnamed Peter; he lodges in a house of Simon a tanner by sea.; who having come will speak to thee.
32 Mande buscar em Jope a Simão, chamado Pedro. Ele está hospedado na casa de Simão, o curtidor de couro, que mora perto do mar’.
33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; thou and well didst having come. Now therefore all we before the God are present, to hear all the things having been commanded thee by the God.
33 Assim, mandei buscar-te imediatamente, e foi bom que tenhas vindo. Agora estamos todos aqui na presença de Deus, para ouvir tudo que o Senhor te mandou dizer-nos".
34 Having opened and Peter the mouth, said: In truth I perceive, that not is a respecter of persons the God;
34 Então Pedro começou a falar: "Agora percebo verdadeiramente que Deus não trata as pessoas com parcialidade,
35 but in every nation he fearing him, and working righteousness, acceptable to him is.
35 mas de todas as nações aceita todo aquele que o teme e faz o que é justo.
36 The word which he sent to the sons of Israel, proclaiming glad tidings of peace through Jesus Anointed; this is of all a Lord.
36 Vocês conhecem a mensagem enviada por Deus ao povo de Israel, que fala das boas novas de paz por meio de Jesus Cristo, Senhor de todos.
37 You know that having been a spoken word in whole of the Judea beginning from the Galilee, after the dipping which was preached of John;
37 Sabem o que aconteceu em toda a Judéia, começando na Galiléia, depois do batismo que João pregou,
38 Jesus that from Nazareth, how anointed him the God with spirit holy and power, who went about doing good and curing all those being oppressed by the accuser, because the God was with him;
38 como Deus ungiu a Jesus de Nazaré com o Espírito Santo e poder, e como ele andou por toda parte fazendo o bem e curando todos os oprimidos pelo diabo, porque Deus estava com ele.
39 and we witnesses of all, which he did in both the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom also they killed having hanged on a cross.
39 "Nós somos testemunhas de tudo o que ele fez na terra dos judeus e em Jerusalém, onde o mataram, suspendendo-o num madeiro.
40 This the God raised up the third day, and gave him manifest to become,
40 Deus, porém, o ressuscitou no terceiro dia e fez que ele fosse visto,
41 not to all the people, but to witnesses to those having been chosen before by the God, to us, who ate with and drank with him after that to have raised him out of the dead ones.
41 não por todo o povo, mas por testemunhas que designara de antemão, por nós que comemos e bebemos com ele depois que ressuscitou dos mortos.
42 And he commanded us, to publish to the people and to fully testify that he is the having been appointed by the God a judge of living ones and of dead ones.
42 Ele nos mandou pregar ao povo e testemunhar que este é aquele a quem Deus constituiu juiz de vivos e de mortos.
43 To him all the prophets bear testimony, forgiveness of sins to receive through the name of him every one the believing into him.
43 Todos os profetas dão testemunho dele, de que todo aquele que nele crê recebe o perdão dos pecados mediante o seu nome".
44 While speaking the Peter the words these, fell the spirit the holy on all those hearing the word.
44 Enquanto Pedro ainda estava falando estas palavras, o Espírito Santo desceu sobre todos os que ouviam a mensagem.
45 And were astonished those of circumcision believers as many as came with the Peter, because also on the Gentiles the gift of the holy spirit has been poured out;
45 Os judeus convertidos que vieram com Pedro ficaram admirados de que o dom do Espírito Santo fosse derramado até sobre os gentios,
46 they heard for them speaking with tongues, and magnifying the God. Then answered the Peter:
46 pois os ouviam falando em línguas e exaltando a Deus. A seguir Pedro disse:
47 Not the water to forbid is able any that not to be dipped these, who the spirit the holy received as even we?
47 "Pode alguém negar a água, impedindo que estes sejam batizados? Eles receberam o Espírito Santo como nós! "
48 He directed and them to be dipped in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to remain days some.
48 Então ordenou que fossem batizados em nome de Jesus Cristo. Depois pediram a Pedro que ficasse com eles alguns dias.
