1 As many as are under a yoke slaves, the own masters of all honor worthy let them esteem, that not the name of the God and the teaching may be reviled.
1 Todos os que estão sob o jugo da escravidão devem considerar seus senhores como dignos de todo o respeito, para que o nome de Deus e o nosso ensino não sejam blasfemados.
2 Those and believing having masters, not let them disregard, because brethren they are; but rather let them serve, because believing ones they are and beloved ones who of the welldoing are recipients. These thing do thou teach, and do thou exhort.
2 Os que têm senhores crentes não devem ter por eles menos respeito, pelo fato de serem irmãos; pelo contrário, devem servi-los ainda melhor, porque os que se beneficiam do seu serviço são fiéis e amados. Ensine e recomende essas coisas.
3 If any one teach differently, and not assents to being sound in words in those of the Lord of us Jesus Anointed, and so that according to piety teaching;
3 Se alguém ensina falsas doutrinas e não concorda com a sã doutrina de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo e com o ensino que é segundo a piedade,
4 he is puffed up, nothing being versed in, but being sick about questions and strifes of words, out of which arises envy, strife, evilspeakings, suspicions wicked,
4 é orgulhoso e nada entende. Esse tal mostra um interesse doentio por controvérsias e contendas acerca de palavras, que resultam em inveja, brigas, difamações, suspeitas malignas
5 wrangling having been corrupted of men the mind, and having been devoid of the truth, supposing gain to be the piety. withdraw thyself from of the such ones.
5 e atritos constantes entre pessoas que têm a mente corrompida e que são privados da verdade, os quais pensam que a piedade é fonte de lucro.
6 It is but gain great the piety with a competency.
6 De fato, a piedade com contentamento é grande fonte de lucro,
7 Nothing for we brought into the world; evident, that neither to carry out any thing are we able.
7 pois nada trouxemos para este mundo e dele nada podemos levar;
8 Having and foods and coverings, with these things we shall be satisfied.
8 por isso, tendo o que comer e com que vestir-nos, estejamos com isso satisfeitos.
9 Those but wishing to be rich, fall into a temptation and a snare, and desires many foolish and hurtful, which sink deep the men into destruction and ruin.
9 Os que querem ficar ricos caem em tentação, em armadilhas e em muitos desejos descontrolados e nocivos, que levam os homens a mergulharem na ruína e na destruição,
10 A root for of all of the evils is the love of money; which some longing after wandered from the faith, and themselves pierced around with sorrows many.
10 pois o amor ao dinheiro é raiz de todos os males. Algumas pessoas, por cobiçarem o dinheiro, desviaram-se da fé e se atormentaram a si mesmas com muitos sofrimentos.
11 Thou but, O man of the God, these things flee; pursue thou and righteousness, piety, faith, love, patience, meekness;
11 Você, porém, homem de Deus, fuja de tudo isso e busque a justiça, a piedade, a fé, o amor, a perseverança e a mansidão.
12 contest thou the good contest of the faith, do thou lay hold of the agelasting life, for which thou wast called out, and thou didst confess the good confession in presence of many witnesses.
12 Combata o bom combate da fé. Tome posse da vida eterna, para a qual você foi chamado e fez a boa confissão na presença de muitas testemunhas.
13 I charge thee in presence of the God, of that making alive the things all, and Anointed Jesus, of that one testifying before Pontius Pilate the good confession,
13 Diante de Deus, que a tudo dá vida, e de Cristo Jesus, que diante de Pôncio Pilatos fez a boa confissão, eu lhe recomendo:
14 to keep thee the commandment spotless, blameless, till the appearance of the Lord of us Jesus Anointed,
14 Guarde este mandamento imaculado, irrepreensível, até a manifestação de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo,
15 which in seasons own he will show the blessed and only Potentate, the King of those being kings and Lord of those being lords,
15 a qual Deus fará se cumprir no seu devido tempo. Ele é o bendito e único Soberano, o Rei dos reis e Senhor dos senhores,
16 the only one having deathlessness, light dwelling in inaccessible, whom saw no one of men, nor to see is able; to whom honor and might agelasting; so be it.
16 o único que é imortal e habita em luz inacessível, a quem ninguém viu nem pode ver. A ele sejam honra e poder para sempre. Amém.
17 To those rich ones in the present age do thou charge not to be highmined, nor to have confidence in wealth uncertain, but in the God the living, in that offering to us all things richly for enjoyment;
17 Ordene aos que são ricos no presente mundo que não sejam arrogantes, nem ponham sua esperança na incerteza da riqueza, mas em Deus, que de tudo nos provê ricamente, para a nossa satisfação.
18 to work good, to be rich in works good, liberal ones to be, communicative ones,
18 Ordene-lhes que pratiquem o bem, sejam ricos em boas obras, generosos e prontos para repartir.
19 treasuring up for themselves a foundation good for the future, so that they may lay hold of that really life.
19 Dessa forma, eles acumularão um tesouro para si mesmos, um firme fundamento para a era que há de vir, e assim alcançarão a verdadeira vida.
20 O Timothy, the trust guard thou, avoiding the profane empty sounds and oppositions of the falselynamed knowledge; which some having professed, concerning the faith missed the mark. The favor with thee.
20 Timóteo, guarde o que lhe foi confiado. Evite as conversas inúteis e profanas e as idéias contraditórias do que é falsamente chamado conhecimento;
