1 [To the chief Musician. On a stringed instrument. {A Psalm} of David.] Hear, O God, my cry; attend unto my prayer.
1 Ó Deus, ouve meu clamor! Escuta minha oração!
2 From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: thou wilt lead me on to a rock which is too high for me.
2 Dos confins da terra clamo a ti, com meu coração sobrecarregado. Leva-me à rocha alta e segura,
3 For thou hast been a refuge for me, a strong tower from before the enemy.
3 pois és meu refúgio e minha fortaleza, onde meus inimigos não me alcançarão.
4 I will sojourn in thy tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
4 Permite-me viver para sempre em teu santuário, seguro sob o abrigo de tuas asas! Interlúdio
5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows; thou hast given {me} the inheritance of those that fear thy name.
5 Pois ouviste meus votos, ó Deus, e me deste a bênção reservada para os que temem teu nome.
6 Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years shall be as many generations.
6 Acrescenta muitos anos à vida do rei! Que ele viva por muitas gerações!
7 He shall abide before God for ever: bestow loving-kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.
7 Que ele reine na presença de Deus para sempre, e que o teu amor e a tua fidelidade o guardem.
8 So will I sing forth thy name for ever, performing my vows from day to day.
8 Então cantarei para sempre louvores ao teu nome, enquanto cumpro meus votos a cada dia.
