¹ [To the chief Musician. On a stringed instrument. {A Psalm} of David.] Hear, O God, my cry; attend unto my prayer.

¹ Ao Músico-chefe, sobre Neginote, Salmo de Davi. Ouve o meu clamor, ó Deus; atende à minha oração.

² From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: thou wilt lead me on to a rock which is too high for me.

² Do fim da terra eu clamarei a ti, quando o meu coração estiver oprimido; guia-me para a rocha que é mais alta do que eu.

³ For thou hast been a refuge for me, a strong tower from before the enemy.

³ Pois tu tens sido um abrigo para mim, e uma torre forte contra o inimigo.

⁴ I will sojourn in thy tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

⁴ Eu habitarei no teu tabernáculo para sempre; eu confiarei no esconderijo das tuas asas. Selá.

⁵ For thou, O God, hast heard my vows; thou hast given {me} the inheritance of those that fear thy name.

⁵ Pois tu, ó Deus, ouviste os meus votos; tu me deste a herança daqueles que temem o teu nome.

⁶ Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years shall be as many generations.

⁶ Tu prolongarás a vida do rei, e os seus anos como os de muitas gerações.

⁷ He shall abide before God for ever: bestow loving-kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

⁷ Ele habitará diante de Deus para sempre; ó, prepara misericórdia e verdade, para que possam preservá-lo.

⁸ So will I sing forth thy name for ever, performing my vows from day to day.
