¹ [A Song; a Psalm. Of the sons of Korah.] Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the hill of his holiness.

¹ Grande é o SENHOR e mui digno de louvor, na cidade do nosso Deus, no seu monte santo.

² Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, {on} the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

² Formoso de sítio, e alegria de toda a terra é o monte Sião sobre os lados do norte, a cidade do grande Rei.

³ God is known in her palaces as a high fortress.

³ Deus é conhecido nos seus palácios por um alto refúgio.

⁴ For behold, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together;

⁴ Porque eis que os reis se ajuntaram; eles passaram juntos.

⁵ They saw, -so they marvelled; they were troubled, they fled in consternation:

⁵ Viram-no e ficaram maravilhados; ficaram assombrados e se apressaram em fugir.

⁶ Trembling took hold upon them there; anguish, as of a woman in travail.

⁶ Tremor ali os tomou, e dores como de mulher de parto.

⁷ With an east wind thou hast broken the ships of Tarshish.

⁷ Tu quebras as naus de Társis com um vento oriental.

⁸ As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of Jehovah of hosts, in the city of our God: God doth establish it for ever. Selah.

⁸ Como o ouvimos, assim o vimos na cidade do Senhor dos Exércitos, na cidade do nosso Deus. Deus a confirmará para sempre. (Selá.)

⁹ We have thought, O God, of thy loving-kindness, in the midst of thy temple.

⁹ Lembramo-nos, ó Deus, da tua benignidade, no meio do teu templo.

¹⁰ According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

¹⁰ Segundo é o teu nome, ó Deus, assim é o teu louvor, até aos fins da terra; a tua mão direita está cheia de justiça.

¹¹ Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

¹¹ Alegre-se o monte de Sião; alegrem-se as filhas de Judá por causa dos teus juízos.

¹² Walk about Zion, and go round about her: count the towers thereof;

¹² Rodeai Sião, e cercai-a, contai as suas torres.

¹³ Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces: that ye may tell it to the generation following.

¹³ Marcai bem os seus antemuros, considerai os seus palácios, para que o conteis à geração seguinte.

¹⁴ For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide until death.

¹⁴ Porque este Deus é o nosso Deus para sempre; ele será nosso guia até à morte.
