1 [{A Psalm} of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.] I will bless Jehovah at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
1 Louvarei o S enhor em todo o tempo; meus lábios sempre o louvarão.
2 My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah: the meek shall hear, and rejoice.
2 Somente no S enhor me gloriarei; que todos os humildes se alegrem.
3 Magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together.
3 Venham, proclamemos a grandeza do S enhor ; juntos, exaltemos o seu nome.
4 I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
4 Busquei o S enhor , e ele me respondeu; livrou-me de todos os meus temores.
5 They looked unto him, and were enlightened, and their faces were not confounded.
5 Os que olham para ele ficarão radiantes; no rosto deles não haverá sombra de decepção.
6 This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard {him}, and saved him out of all his troubles.
6 Clamei ao S enhor em meu desespero, e ele me ouviu; livrou-me de todas as minhas angústias.
7 The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
7 O anjo do S enhor é guardião; ele cerca e defende os que o temem.
8 Taste and see that Jehovah is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him!
8 Provem e vejam que o S enhor é bom! Como é feliz o que nele se refugia!
9 Fear Jehovah, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him.
9 Temam o S enhor , vocês que lhe são fiéis, pois os que o temem terão tudo de que precisam.
10 The young lions are in need and suffer hunger; but they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good.
10 Até mesmo os leões jovens e fortes passam fome, mas aos que buscam o S
11 Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
11 Venham, meus filhos, e ouçam-me; eu os ensinarei a temer o S
12 What man is he that desireth life, {and} loveth days, that he may see good?
12 Quem deseja ter uma vida longa e próspera?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile;
13 Refreie a língua de falar maldades e os lábios de dizerem mentiras.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
14 Afaste-se do mal e faça o bem; busque a paz e esforce-se para mantê-la.
15 The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their cry;
15 Os olhos do S enhor estão sobre os justos, e seus ouvidos, abertos para seus clamores.
16 The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth:
16 O S enhor , porém, volta o rosto contra os que praticam o mal; apagará da terra qualquer lembrança deles.
17 {The righteous} cry, and Jehovah heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
17 O S enhor ouve os justos quando clamam por socorro; ele os livra de todas as suas angústias.
18 Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit.
18 O S enhor está perto dos que têm o coração quebrantado e resgata os de espírito oprimido.
19 Many are the adversities of the righteous, but Jehovah delivereth him out of them all:
19 O justo enfrenta muitas dificuldades, mas o S
20 He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken.
20 Pois o S enhor protege os ossos do justo; nem um sequer será quebrado.
21 Evil shall destroy the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall bear their guilt.
21 A calamidade certamente destruirá os perversos, e os que odeiam o justo serão castigados.
22 Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall bear guilt.
22 O S enhor , porém, resgatará os que o servem; ninguém que nele se refugia será condenado.
