1 [{A Psalm} of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.] I will bless Jehovah at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
1 Salmo de Davi, quando ele mudou seu comportamento diante de Abimeleque, que o dispensou, e ele partiu. Eu bendirei ao SENHOR em todo o tempo; seu louvor estará continuamente na minha boca.
2 My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah: the meek shall hear, and rejoice.
2 Minha alma a fará se gloriar no SENHOR; os humildes ouvirão isso e ficarão felizes.
3 Magnify Jehovah with me, and let us exalt his name together.
3 Ó, magnificai o SENHOR comigo, e juntos exaltemos o seu nome.
4 I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
4 Eu busquei o SENHOR e ele me ouviu, e me livrou de todos os meus medos.
5 They looked unto him, and were enlightened, and their faces were not confounded.
5 Eles olharam para ele, e foram iluminados; e suas faces não foram envergonhadas.
6 This afflicted one called, and Jehovah heard {him}, and saved him out of all his troubles.
6 Este pobre homem clamou e o SENHOR o ouviu, e o salvou de todas as suas dificuldades.
7 The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
7 O anjo do SENHOR acampa ao redor daqueles que o temem, e os livra.
8 Taste and see that Jehovah is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him!
8 Ó, provai e vede que o SENHOR é bom; abençoado é o homem que confia nele.
9 Fear Jehovah, ye his saints; for there is no want to them that fear him.
9 Ó, temei o SENHOR, vós seus santos; porque não há escassez para aqueles que o temem.
10 The young lions are in need and suffer hunger; but they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good.
10 Os leõezinhos carecem, e sofrem de fome; mas aqueles que buscam o SENHOR não terão falta de nenhuma coisa boa.
11 Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
11 Vinde, vós crianças, escutai-me; eu vos ensinarei o temor do SENHOR.
12 What man is he that desireth life, {and} loveth days, that he may see good?
12 Que homem é aquele que deseja a vida, e ama os muitos dias, para que possa ver o bem?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile;
13 Guarda a tua língua do mal, e teus lábios de falar a malícia.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
14 Afasta-te do mal, e faz o bem; busca a paz, e persegue-a.
15 The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous, and his ears are toward their cry;
15 Os olhos do SENHOR estão sobre os justos, e os seus ouvidos estão abertos para o seu clamor.
16 The face of Jehovah is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth:
16 A face do SENHOR é contra aqueles que fazem o mal, para cortar fora sua lembrança da terra.
17 {The righteous} cry, and Jehovah heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
17 Os justos clamam, e o SENHOR ouve, e os livra de todas as suas dificuldades.
18 Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit.
18 O SENHOR está perto daqueles que são de coração quebrantado; e salva também o contrito de espírito.
19 Many are the adversities of the righteous, but Jehovah delivereth him out of them all:
19 Muitas são as aflições do justo; mas o SENHOR o livra de todas.
20 He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken.
20 Ele guarda todos os seus ossos; nenhum deles é quebrado.
21 Evil shall destroy the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall bear their guilt.
21 O mal mata os perversos; e os que odeiam os justos serão desolados.
22 Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall bear guilt.
22 O SENHOR redime a alma de seus servos; e nenhum daqueles que confiam nele será desolado.
