2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Jëëhꜘ, maˉkyu̱u̱h˜ baˊ hnähꜘ haˉ ko̱hꜘ saꜙ lluꜗ dsëꜗ Dsaˉjø̱ø̱hˈ jnänˋ.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Kihꜗ heˉja̱ˉ baˊ hlëëhꜙ läꜙlaˉ jeeˊ naˉsɨɨˉ juuˈ kihꜗ Dio:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Ku̱u̱ˊ ja̱ˉ hmoohˈ jwërte kyahꜗ hnähꜘ hi̱ˉ maˉdsooꜘ dsëꜗ. Pero kihꜗ hi̱ˉ saꜙ dsooꜘ dsëꜗ kihꜗ Dio, naˉsɨɨˉ läꜙlaˉ:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Hiꜙ läꜙlaˉ naˉsɨɨˉ kaˉlähꜘ:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Pero jneˊ maˉla̱a̱ꜗ jneˊ ko̱o̱ˉ nääꜗ dsaˉ hi̱ˉ naˉlle̱e̱hˊ baˊ, hiꜙ maˉla̱a̱ꜗ jneˊ läꜙko̱o̱ˉ jmiˉdsaˉ kya̱a̱ꜗ dsaˉtaˊ jø̱ø̱hˈ, maˉla̱a̱ꜗ jneˊ ko̱o̱ˉ nääꜗ dsaˉ hi̱ˉ naˉjngëëˈ. Hiꜙ ja̱ˉbaˊ läꜙja̱ˉ maˉla̱a̱ꜗ jneˊ ko̱o̱ˉ jwɨɨˉ kihꜗ Dio mahꜗ kwaˊ jneˊ juuˈ haˉläꜙ laꜗ heˉ jʉhˉga̱a̱ˉ heˉ jmeeyꜙ. Jëëhꜘ, gaꜙhwë̱ë̱yꜗ jneˊ jeeˊ naˉho̱o̱ˉ mahꜗ dsaˊtoohˊ jneˊ kya̱a̱yhˊ jeeˊ jnäꜘ waˊjeˉ jihˈgye̱hꜗ.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Jä̱ä̱ꜗ saꜙ chaˉ maˊ la̱a̱ˈ jneˊ kihˈ Dio, pero naꜗ maˉla̱a̱ꜗ jneˊ dsaˉ kya̱a̱yꜗ. Saꜙ cha̱a̱ˉ hi̱ˉ gaꜙläꜙñihꜘ dsëꜗ jneˊ jä̱ä̱ˈ, pero naꜗ maˉläˉñihꜘ dsëꜗ Dio jneˊ.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Peerꜙ hnaanꜙ hnähꜘ ø̱ø̱hnꜗ. Jwɨɨ˜ hnähꜘ hi̱ˉ gaꜙhwë̱ë̱ˉ jwɨɨˉ kihꜗ mahꜗ gaꜙnäähꜗ hnähꜘ jeeˊ jyohꜘ jwɨɨˉ. Läꜙko̱hꜘ heˉ moꜙsoꜙ naˊjnääꜘ hnähꜘ kihꜗ jmɨˉgyʉʉꜙ baˊ laˈ. Heˉja̱ˉ chu̱u̱nꜘ kya̱a̱hˊ hnähꜘ, moꜙtoꜙ jmeeˉ hnähꜘ heˉ ngɨɨꜙ jmɨˉngoꜗ kyahꜗ hnähꜘ heˉ jmeeꜙ dsaˉhe̱e̱ꜘ tuhˉhohꜘ hnähꜘ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Goˉta̱a̱hˊ hnähꜘ läꜙko̱o̱ˉ lleˋ kyahˈ hnähꜘ, jeeˊ kihˈ dsaˉ hi̱ˉ saꜙ maˉhe̱e̱hˉ kihꜗ Dio mahꜗ läꜙja̱ˉ jmeeyꜗ jʉʉhˉ kihˈ Dio waˊraˉ gaꜙtëꜘ jeeˊ jä̱yhꜘ. Jëëhꜘ maˊja̱ˉ jëëꜗ dsaˉ heꜘ, heˉ lluꜗ baˊ taˊ kyahˈ hnähꜘ maꜙkeꜙ naꜗ hlëëyhꜙ wɨɨꜘ kyahꜗ hnähꜘ, jäyhꜘ heˉ hlɨɨhˈ baˊ naˉ jmeehˉ hnähꜘ.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Kwa̱a̱t˜ kihꜗ Dsaˉjø̱ø̱hˈ jnänˋ, waˊ nʉʉhˊ hnähꜘ kihꜗ läꜙjë̱ë̱ꜙ dsaˉ hi̱ˉ la̱a̱ꜗ taˊ jmɨˉgyʉʉꜙ laˉ. Läꜙja̱ˉ waˊ nʉʉhˊ hnähꜘ kihꜗ dsaˉtaˊ jø̱ø̱hˈ hi̱ˉ jmeeꜙ hihꜙ kihꜗ läꜙjë̱ë̱ꜙ.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.

15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Goˉta̱a̱hˊ hnähꜘ läꜙko̱o̱ˉ ja̱a̱ˉ hi̱ˉ naˉla̱a̱ˊ baˊ, jëëhꜘ moꜙsoꜙ chaˉ heˉ hnɨɨ˜ kyahꜗ hnähꜘ. Pero taꜙ jmeeˉ hnähꜘ hʉʉˊdsëˉ chaˉ jwëˈ jmeehˈ hnähꜘ waˊ laˈ chaˉ laꜗ, kihꜗ heˉ maˉnaˉla̱a̱hˊ hnähꜘ. Jmeeˊ hnähꜘ läꜙko̱o̱ˉ jmeeꜙ hi̱ˉ tä̱ä̱hˊ tä̱ä̱ꜘ jmeeꜙ taˊheꜗ kihꜗ Dio baˊ.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Waˊ ji̱i̱hˊ jneˊ juuˈ lluꜗ kihꜗ läꜙjë̱ë̱ꜙ dsaˉ. Waˊ hnääꜙ jneˊ ø̱ø̱hꜗ jneˊ, waˊ ga̱hꜙ jneˊ Dio, hiꜙ waˊ miˉteˋ jneˊ kihˈ dsaˉtaˊ jø̱ø̱hˈ hi̱ˉ cha̱a̱ˉ hwaꜗ laˉ.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Hnähꜘ hi̱ˉ jmeeꜙ taˊ kihˈ dsaꜙ, waˊ nʉʉhˊ hnähꜘ kihꜗ jʉʉˊ taˊ hiꜙ waˊ ga̱hˈ hnihꜘ. Ja̱ꜙ maꜙlaꜙ kihꜗ hi̱ˉ jmeeꜙ lluꜗ hi̱ˉ jø̱hˉ dsëꜗ, läꜙja̱ˉ jmeehˈ hnähꜘ kihꜗ jʉʉˊ taˊ hi̱ˉ saꜙ jø̱hˉ dsëꜗ kya̱a̱hˊ dsaˉ.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Ja̱a̱ˉ dsaˉ hi̱ˉ jëë˜ wɨɨꜘ, maꜙkeꜙ saꜙ chaˉ heˉ kihꜗ jmeehꜙ dsihꜘ, cherˊmahꜗ he̱e̱hˉ bihꜗ heˉ jëëy˜ wɨɨꜘ, läꜙja̱ˉ baˊ tɨh˜ dsëꜗ Dio. Jëëhꜘ, gaꜙjmeeyꜘ läꜙko̱o̱ˉ lleˋ kihˈ mahꜗ saꜙ chaˉ heˉ kihꜗ heˉ hnɨɨꜗ hʉʉˊdsëˉ kiyhꜗ.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Haˉ jmääꜗ heˉ beꜘ hohꜘ hnähꜘ heˉ jëëhꜘ hnähꜘ wɨɨꜘ cherˊmahꜗ jmeehˉ gaˊ hnähꜘ heˉ hlɨɨhˈ. Pero cherˊmahꜗ gaꜙläꜙbeꜘ hohꜘ hnähꜘ heˉ jëëhˈ hnähꜘ wɨɨꜘ kihꜗ heˉ jmeehˉ hnähꜘ heˉ lluꜗ, heˉ naˉ baˊ tɨh˜ dsëꜗ Dio.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Kihꜗ heˉja̱ˉ baˊ gaꜙlle̱e̱hˉ Dio jneˊ. Jëëhꜘ, Cristo gaꜙjëëyꜗ wɨɨꜘ kwa̱a̱t˜ jnänˋ. Hñiiyꜘ gaꜙjmeeyꜘ toˉnëˊ mahꜗ jmeeˊ jneˊ läꜙja̱ˉ.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Cristo, saꜙ gaꜙjmeeꜘ niꜙ miihˉ dsoˊkyeˉ, niꜙ saꜙ gaꜙmiꜙga̱a̱yˉ niꜙ ja̱a̱ˉ dsaˉ.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Maˊ gaꜙhlëëhꜘ dsaˉ hlɨɨhˈ kiyhꜗ, saꜙ gaꜙji̱i̱yhˈ juuˈ kya̱a̱hˊ dsoˊjwɨɨꜘ. Hiꜙ maˊ gaꜙheehꜗ dsihꜘ wɨɨꜘ, saꜙ gaꜙtaˊ gaꜙha̱a̱yhˉ dsaˉ. Gaꜙtooyhˉ gooˉ Dio baˊ hi̱ˉ llaꜙ taˊ kya̱a̱hˊ juuˈ dsooꜘ.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Cristo gaꜙko̱o̱ˈ läꜙjëꜙ dsoˊkyeˉ jnänˋ nëˊ kiyhˈ läꜙko̱o̱ˉ maˊ gaꜙta̱a̱yꜚ dsohꜘ hmaˉcruꜚ. Läꜙja̱ˉ maˉnaˉju̱u̱ˊ jneˊ kihˈ dsoˊkyeˉ mahꜗ jmeeˊ jneˊ heˉ lluꜗ jmahꜗ baˊ. Gaꜙjä̱ꜗ jnänˋ, läꜙlluꜗ heˉ gaꜙlaꜗ dsooˊ kiyhˈ.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Maˊ la̱a̱ˈ jneˊ läꜙko̱o̱ˉ ja̱a̱ˉ borrego hi̱ˉ gaꜙka̱h˜ jwëˈ, pero naꜗ maˉje̱e̱h˜ jneˊ kihˈ Cristo hi̱ˉ hä̱ä̱˜ jneˊ hi̱ˉ jøøꜙ jnänˋ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
