3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 Obohjeéhtih, Dios ã weh yatá jʉmna, ñíih caolih ã tʉ́i jʉmat pínahdih ñi tʉ́i jenah joyoó. Jʉ̃ihcan, tʉbit wʉtcan, tʉ́inijeh ñi jʉmʉʉ́. Páant ñi jʉmʉchah, Dios yeebdíh bʉ́dí ã wẽi enbipna caá.
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 Jon jã́tih moón yaádh Diosdih tʉ́i jenah joiná, ĩ weha mánadih jepahnit, tʉ́i jígohnit panihnit ĩt jʉmʉp wʉt jĩ.
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
6 Jwĩ éet Saraji mijeéh bóo Abrahamdih “Maá”, niijnít, caandíh mipĩ́ tʉ́i jepahap wʉt jĩ. Pánihna, yeebbʉ́t tʉ́i chãjnit, ʉ́ʉmcanjeh, mi weh yatá panihnit ñi jʉmna caá.
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.
7 Bʉʉ áa jʉmnit neonádih jwʉh bainí wã naáwát tʉ́ʉt caá. Yeébboó ñi weha mána yaádhdih bʉ́dí oina, tʉ́inijeh ñi chãjaá, ĩ tʉ́i jʉmat pínah niijná. Queét yaádhboó nʉmp wẽpnit ĩ jʉmʉchah jéihnit, queétdih ñi tʉ́i en dawaá. Queét yaádhbʉt jenah joinít ĩ jʉmʉchah jéihnit, ded pah ñi chãjat pínahdih ñi míic wéhenaá. Dios yeéb chénat pahdih oinit, ãt ñíojip taga, ã́ihwã ñi jʉmat pínah niijná. Pánih jʉmnit, Diosdih ñi ʉʉ́bʉ́chah, jãhat panihat wihcah, ã tʉ́i jepahbipna caá.
7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Bʉʉ yeéb nihatdih bainí wã naáwát tʉ́ʉt caá. Biícdih tʉ́i jʉmnit, ded jĩ́gahnidih ennit, biíc yoobó jĩ́gahnit, caandíh ñi teo wáacá. Yeéb biíc weh panihnit jʉmna, míic oinit, ñi míic tʉ́i chãjaá. Oboh jʉmni pah ñi jʉmʉʉ́.

9 Ded yeebdíh yeejép ã chãjachah yʉhna, yeejép ñi chãj jwʉ́ʉbaca bojoó. Ded yeebdíh yeejép ã niijíchah yʉhna, biíc yoobó niíj jwʉ́ʉbacanjeh, “Dios meemdíh ã tʉ́i chãja naáh”, caandíh ñi niijí. Páant ñi chãjat pínahdih Dios yeebdíh ãt ñíwip taga, yeebdíhbʉt ã tʉ́i chãjat pínah niijná.
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Jon jã́tih Dios naáwátdih naóh yapani nin pah ãt niíj daacáp tajĩ:
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Yeejép chãjatdih cádahnit, tʉ́iniboodíh ã chãja naáh. Bitajeéh biícdih tʉ́i jʉmíhna, jʉ̃ihcanjeh, queétdih ã tʉ́i oyo naáh.
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Pánih chãjnitdih Dios wẽi enna, ĩ ʉʉ́bʉ́chah, ã tʉ́i jepahna caá. Obohjeéhtih, yeejép chãjnitdih ã eníhcan caá”, ãt niíj daacáp tajĩ. (Sal 34.12-16)
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Páant ñi tʉ́i chãjíhichah, bita yeebdíh yeejép ĩ chãjcan niít.
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Obohjeéhtih, ñi tʉ́i chãjat jíib, biquí láana yeebdíh yeejép ĩ chãjbipna caá. Páant ĩ chãjatdih ennit, Diosboó yeebdíh ã tʉ́i chãjbipna caá. Pánihna, det yeebdíh yeejép chãjnitdih bʉ́dí jenah joicánjeh, ñi ʉ́ʉmca bojoó.
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 “Cristo wã Maáh caá”, niíj jenah joinít, caandíhjeh ñi weñeé. Bitaboó “¿Ded pah chãj tigaá Dios pebhboó wã bejbi?” yeebdíh ĩ niíj ʉʉ́bh joyát pínah jã́tih, queétdih tʉ́i jepahat tʉ́ʉt niijná, Dios naáwátdih tʉ́i míic bohé pã́init ñi jʉmʉʉ́.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.

16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Ñi tʉ́i chãjat jíib, yeejép yapna yʉhna, “Dios páant ã náahachah, ã tʉ́imi nacaá”, ñi niíj jenah joyoó. Obohjeéhtih, yeejép ñi chãjatji jíib yeejép ñi yapachah, “Wã yéejat jíibjeh tigaá”, niíj jenah joyát caá náahap.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Jwĩ tʉ́i chãjachah yʉhna, yeejép jwĩ yapachah, Cristo biíc yoobó ã yapatjidih jenah joyát caá náahap. Caánboó dedé ã yéej chãjcap jĩ. Pánih yéej chãjcan yʉhna, jwĩ yéejat jíib biíc láajeh ã wʉn wʉ̃hʉp jĩ, Diosjeéh jwĩ tʉ́i jʉmat pínah niijná. Cã́acwã caandíh ĩ mao yohochah yʉhna, Tʉ́ini Espírituboó caandíh ãt booanap tajĩ.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.

Jwiítdih ĩ daabánachah, jwĩ́ih bácahdih queí chocat panihni, jwĩ yéejatdih cádahatdih jwĩ jʉ́ʉtna caá. Jesucristo jwʉ́ʉb boo pʉd jʉ̃óhna, jwĩ́ih caolihdih ãt booanap wʉt jĩ, jwĩ tʉ́i jʉmat pínah niijná.
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.

22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
