5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.

7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,

8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.

9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ke̱net ta̱ a' kë̀ dör ie' icha, erë i̱'ñe ta̱ a' dör ie' wák icha. Ke̱net ta̱ ie' kë̀ wa̱ a' su̱ne e̱r sia̱rë wa, erë i̱'ñe ta̱ ie' tö a' sue̱ke e̱r sia̱rë wa.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 A ye' yamipa dalër tai̱ë ye' é̱na, se' tso' bërbërla ë̀ ká̱ i' ki̱ we̱s upakè shkal es. Se' ká̱ bua'ie e' dör ká̱ jaì a̱. E' kue̱ki̱ a' wák dër suluë tö a' e̱rkiöwe̱ke ì sulu wamblök, e' kë̀ iu̱tar. E' tö a' wöklö'we̱ke a̱s a' kë̀ tö Skëköl ttö̀ iu̱tè.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 A' se̱nú yësyësë ke̱kraë pë' kë̀ tö Skëköl dalöiè esepa wörki̱. Erë́ i̱'ñe ta̱' ie'pa tö a' kkateke we̱s a' chö́pa pë' sulusipa es, erë ie'pa tso' a' se̱rke yësyësë e' wà sa̱u̱k. E' kue̱ki̱ aishkuö ta̱ mik Skëköl de s'chakök se' nuì̱ ki̱, eta̱ ie'pa tö ie' ki̱keraka̱ we̱s a' se̱rke e' ki̱. E' kue̱ki̱ a' se̱nú buaë yësyësë ke̱kraë.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 S'wökirpa ko̱s ttè iu̱tö́ a' tö Skëkëpa Jesús batamik. Ká̱ wökir kibi, e' ttè iu̱tö́, ie' dör s'wökir kibi ká̱ i' ki̱ e' kue̱ki̱.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Skëköl ki̱ ikiane tö a' tö ì buaë wè̱, pë' tö ie' ttè watéttsa̱, kë̀ wa̱ iwà jche̱r yës, esepa siwa̱'blöwo̱wa̱ie a̱s ie'pa kë̀ tö a' chö̀ia̱ suluë.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 A' se̱nú we̱s pë' tsa̱tkëulettsa̱ es. A' bak klöulewa̱ ì sulu ulà a̱, e' yöki̱ a' tsa̱tkë'ttsa̱ Skëköl tö, erë e' kë̀ klö'wa̱r a' tö ì sulu wambloie. E' skéie a' se̱nú yësyësë ie' kanè mésopaie.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Sulitane dalöiö́. S'yamipa male̱pa dalëritsö́. Skëköl dalöiö́. Ñies ká̱ wökir kibi, e' ttè dalöiö́.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 A' wé̱pa klöulewa̱ kanè mésoie, esepa tö a' wökirpa ttö̀ iu̱tö́. Wé̱pa e̱r buaë tö a' sue̱ke buaë, ñies wé̱pa e̱r suluë tö a' sue̱ke kësik wa, esepa ttö̀ iu̱tö́ e̱r bua' wa.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 A' kë̀ ki̱ ì nuí̱ ta̱', erë a' wökir tö a' we'ikeke ë́me, e' dalë'ttseke a' tö bë̀rë, a' e̱r me'rie Skëköl ki̱ e' kue̱ki̱, e' ta̱ e' wër buaë ie' wa. E' kue̱ki̱ a' wökirpa ttö̀ iu̱tö́.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Se' weirke ì sulu wamblekesö ese nuí̱ ki̱, ese dalë'ttsésö bë̀rë, e' ta̱ Skëköl kë̀ tö se' ki̱kepaka̱ yës. Erë se' weirke ì buaë wé̱sö ese kue̱ki̱, ese dalë'ttsésö bë̀rë, e' ta̱ e' je' wër buaë ie' wa.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ie' tö se' klöo̱'bak a̱s se' tö idalë'ttsö̀ es. Cristo weine tai̱ë se' dalërmik, e' dalë'ttsë' ie' tö bë̀rë. Es ie' ki̱ ikiane tö se' tö se' weirke ese dalë'ttsö̀ bë̀rë we̱s ie' tö idalë'ttsë' es.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Cristo kë̀ wa̱ ì sulu wamblëne yës, ie' kë̀ ka̱yëne yës.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Mik ie'pa tö ie' yë' suluë iwösha̱ë, eta̱ ie' kë̀ wa̱ ie'pa yëne sulu. Mik ie'pa tö ie' we'ik tai̱ë, eta̱ ie' kë̀ wa̱ yi pau̱i̱ne. E' skéie e' me'a̱titö, Skëköl tö s'shu̱leke yësyësë, e' ulà a̱.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Cristo köte̱wa̱ wötëulewa̱ krus mik se' nuì̱ ko̱s patuo̱ie a̱s se' se̱r yësyësë, ñies a̱s ì sulu kë̀ wamblö̀ia̱sö. Ie' shka̱'ne ichkà ki̱ tai̱ë, e' batamik a' buanene.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 A' bak we̱s obeja chöwa es, erë i̱'ñe ta̱ a' dene Cristo ska'. Ie' dör a' kkö'nukwak buaë, ie' tö a' kkö'neke e̱r bua' wa.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
