1 Da’ágát’éégo isdzáné daanohłíni, nohwiką’ daadohts’ag; áík’ehgo Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań biyati’ doo yikísk’eh ádaat’ee dayúgo, doo nt’é daabiłdohṉii da ndi, nłt’éégo ádaanoht’eehíí bee da’odląą daaleehgo daahonołbįįh doleeł;

2 Nłt’éégo ánádaaht’įįłgo ła’íí Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań daadinołsįgo daayo’įįhíí bighą da’odląą daaleeh.
2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;
3 Doo nohwiká’yú zhą́ ídaadołzhǫǫ da, daazhógo nel’į́į́híí bighą doo nohwitsizíl iłtah at’éégo daashbizh da le’, ła’íí dawahá óodo ádaaszaahíí doo nohwaa dahnazṉilgo da, ła’íí diyágé łáń ílííníí doo nohwik’isilaago da:
3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 Áídá’ nohwijíí yuṉe’ nłt’éégo ágot’eehíí bee dénzhonégo ádaahłe’, nohwijíí yuṉe’ isht’edaagodnt’éégo, ła’íí dant’éheego be’ádaanoht’eego, áí be’ídaadołzhooníí doo da’ílíí daaleeh dahi, ła’íí Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań binadzahgee łáń ílíni.
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 Da’ágát’éégo doo áníidá’ isdzáné daagodnłsiníí Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań yaa da’ołííhíí ídaadilzhǫǫ lę́k’e, biką’ daidits’ago:
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
6 Sarah ágát’éégo Abraham yidits’ag lę́k’e, shinant’a’ yiłṉiigo: da’osodląądhíí bighą áń bich’eke’yú k’ehgo daasolįį, nłt’éégo ádaanoht’eeyúgo, ła’íí doo nt’é bik’e nadaałyiz dayúgo.
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.
7 Da’ágát’éégo nṉee daanohłíni, nohwi’aa baa natsídaahkeesgo bił daagonohłįį, bits’í doo nłdzil dahíí bighą daadinołsį, Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań biłgoch’oba’íí nohwi’ihi’ṉa’ nohwá ágołsiníí da’ánohła nohwíyééhíí bighą; áík’ehgo da’ohkąąhgee doo nohwich’į’ nagontł’og da.
7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Da’iké’yú goz’aaníí, daanohwigha nohwinatsekees dała’á ádaanołsį, łaa daach’ohba’ le’, odlą’ bee iłk’isyú daanohłįįgo łił daanohjǫǫ le’, nohwijíídí’ nohwił daagoch’oba’ le’, k’édaanohsį le’:

9 Ła’ doo bik’ehyú ádaanohwizlaa dayúgo doo iké’déṉá ágánádaahdle’ da, daanohwóch’iid lę́k’eyúgo doo t’ąązhį’ daahóhch’iid da: áídá’ gozhóóníí bá hádaaht’įį; díí bighą Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań nohwich’į’ ánṉiid bídaagonołsį, ła’íí áí bee gozhóóníí nohwíyéé doleeł.
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Hadíń ihi’ṉá bił nzhooníí, ła’íí nłt’éégo bíyołkaał hat’ííníí, áń doo nchǫ’go yałti’ da le’, doo łé’iłchoo da le’:
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Áń nchǫ’íí yits’ą́’zhį’ anṉe’go nłt’ééhíí ye’at’į́į́ le’; iłch’į’gont’ééhíí yiká hát’į́į́go nłdzilgo yikádéz’įį le’.
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 NohweBik’ehń nṉee dábik’ehyú ádaat’eehíí yik’idéz’įį, áí bi’okąąhíí yíyésts’ąą: áídá’ nṉee doo bik’ehyú ánádaat’įįł dahíí yits’ą́’zhį’go dahnot’aał.
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Nłt’éégo ádaanoht’eedá’, hadíńshą’ nohwiṉí’diłṉíh?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Dánzhǫǫgo zhą́ ágot’eehíí bighą nohwiniidaagonłt’éé ndi, nohwá gózhǫ́ǫ́ doo: nṉee nohwik’edaanṉiihíí doo bédaałdzid da, doo nohwił nadaagontł’og da le’;
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Áídá’ nohweBik’ehń, Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań nlįįgo, nohwijíí yuṉe’ daadinołsį le’: nłt’ééhíí nohwádįhyú goz’aaníí nohwijíí biyi’ yuṉe’ nda’ołííhíí nṉee ła’ yighą nanohwídíłkidyúgo, hagot’éégo bich’į’ hahdziihíí t’ah bíntsé bídaagonołsį le’, tąądégo ła’íí daadinołsįgo baa nadaagołṉi’ le’:
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 Nłt’éégo ánádaaht’įįłgo ídédaagososįįdgo, Christ biláhyú nohwi’at’e’ nłt’éé ndi łéda’iłchoogo nchǫ’go ánádaat’įįł daanohwiłṉiihíí ídaa yádaandzį doleeł.
16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań bik’ehgoyúgo nłt’éégo ánádaaht’įįł ndi nohwiniidaagonłt’ééhíí dábik’eh, áídá’ nchǫ’go ánádaaht’įįł zhiṉééhíí bighą nohwiniidaagonłt’ééyúgohíí doo nzhǫǫ da.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Christ dałahńdi nohwinchǫ’híí bighą biniigodelzaa, áń dábik’ehyú át’ééhíí doo bik’ehyú ádaat’ee dahíí yá biniigodelzaa, Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań yaa nnohwiṉííłhíí bighą, bits’í zhą́ zesdįį, áídá’ biyi’sizíni doo zesdįį da, áí bee naadiidzaa:
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.
19 Áí bee spirits ha’áshijeedyú ńyáágo yich’į’ yałti’;
19 É neste mesmo espírito que ele foi pregar aos espíritos que eram detidos no cárcere, àqueles que outrora, nos dias de Noé, tinham sido rebeldes,
20 Áí spirits‐híí doo áníidá’ dabízhą́ daabik’eh ndi Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań bágoho’aał lę́k’e; Noah hiṉaadá’ tsina’eełíí áile’dá’ tsina’eełíí biyi’ tsebíí hilt’eego zhą́ hasdákai, tú biláhyú.
20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 Áí túhíí tú bee baptize ánohwi’delzaago Jesus Christ daztsąądí’ naadiidzaahíí biláhyú hasdáhiikaihíí bee nohwił ch’í’ṉah ágolzaa, (baptism doo koká’ chiníí naił’eełgo ágolzee da, áídá’ Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań binadzahgee dábik’ehyú ách’ít’éégo ídégoch’iłsįgo ágolzee.)
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 Christ yaaká’yú onádzaago Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań bigan dihe’nazhiṉéégo dahsdaa; Bik’ehgo’ihi’ṉań binal’a’á yaaká’yú daagolííníí, ła’íí yedaabik’ehíí, ła’íí spirits binawodíí dawa daabidits’ago ádaabi’deszaa.
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
