1 ܒܵܣ ܪܲܦܹܝܡܘܼܢ ܡܸܢܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܟܠܵܗ̇ ܒܝܼܫܘܼܬܵ‌ܐ، ܘܟܠܹܗ ܦܸܠܡܵܐ، ܘܡܲܫܦܲܪܬܵ‌ܐ، ܘܒܲܚܸܠܵܢܘܼܬܵ‌ܐ ܘܟܠܔ ܗܹܡܸܙܡܵܢ ܕܲܠܩܘܼܒ݂ܠܔ ܕܐܢܵܫܹ̈ܐ.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܝܲܠܘܼܕܹ̈ܐ ܙܥܘܿܪܹ̈ܐ ܬܵܙܵܐ ܗܘܝܼܹܐ، ܫܲܗܘܸܬܘܼܢ ܠܗܹܡܸܙܡܵܢ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܕܠܚܲܠܒ݂ܵܐ ܨܸܦܝܵܐ ܕܒܝܼܹܗ ܓܲܪܘܸܣܝܼܬܘܿܢ ܠܦܘܼܪܩܵܢܵܐ،
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 ܐܸܢ ܛܥܝܼܡ ܠܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܕܛܵܒ݂ܵܐ ܝܠܹܗ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 ܗ̇ܘ ܕܠܟܸܣܠܹܗ ܩܲܪܒܘܼܢܹܐ ܝܬܘܿܢ، ܗ݁ܘ ܕܝܼܠܹܗ ܟܹܐܦܵܐ ܚܵܝܵܐ، ܡܘܼܣܠܝܼܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܢܲܝ̈ܢܵܫܵܐ ܐܝܼܢܵܐ ܓܘܼܒܝܵܐ ܘܡܵܪܹܐ ܛܝܼܡܵܐ ܠܟܸܣ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ.

5 ܗܵܕܟ݂ܵܐ ܐܘܼܦ ܐܲܚܬܘܿܢ، ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܟܹܐܦܹ̈ܐ ܚܵܝܹ̈ܐ، ܦܝܼܫܹܐ ܝܬܘܿܢ ܒܸܢܝܹܐ ܒܲܝܬܵ‌ܐ ܪܘܼܚܵܢܵܝܵܐ ܕܗܵܘܹܝܬܘܿܢ ܟܵܗܢܘܼܬܵ‌ܐ ܩܲܕܝܼܫܬܵ‌ܐ، ܡܲܩܪܘܼܒܹܐ ܕܸܒ݂ܚܹ̈ܐ ܪ̈ܘܼܚܵܢܵܝܹܐ ܩܘܼܒܠܹܐ ܠܟܸܣ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܒܝܲܕ ܝܼܫܘܿܥ ܡܫܝܼܚܵܐ.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 ܣܵܒܵܒ ܟܬܝܼܒ݂ܵܐ ܝܠܹܗ ܓܵܘ ܟܬܵܒ݂ܵܐ ܩܲܕܝܼܫܵܐ:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 ܒܵܣ ܐܸܠܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ، ܐܲܚܬܘܿܢ ܕܗܲܡܘܼܢܹܐ ܝܬܘܿܢ، ܐܵܗܵܐ ܟܹܐܦܵܐ ܛܝܼܡܵܢܵܐ ܝܠܹܗ، ܐܝܼܢܵܐ ܩܵܐ ܐܵܢܝܼ ܕܠܹܐ ܗܲܡܸܢܝܼ:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 ܟܹܐܦܵܐ ܕܬܲܪܩܲܠܬܵ‌ܐ، ܘܩܵܝܵܐ ܕܢܦܵܠܬܵ‌ܐ.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 ܐܝܼܢܵܐ ܐܲܚܬܘܿܢ ܝܼܬܘܿܢ ܫܲܪܒܬܵ‌ܐ ܓܘܼܒܝܼܬܵ‌ܐ، ܟܵܗܢܘܼܬܵ‌ܐ ܡܲܠܟܵܝܬܵ‌ܐ، ܐܘܼܡܬܵ‌ܐ ܩܲܕܝܼܫܬܵ‌ܐ، ܛܵܝܸܦܵܐ ܕܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ، ܕܡܲܕܥܝܼܬܘܿܢ ܬܸܫܒܘܿܚܝܵܬܹ̈‌ܐ ܕܗ̇ܘ ܕܩܲܡ ܩܵܪܹܐ ܠܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܚܸܫܟܵܐ ܠܒܲܗܪܹܗ ܡܲܥܓ̰ܸܒܵܢܵܐ.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 ܒܚܕܵܐ ܥܕܵܢܵܐ ܠܹܐ ܝܬܘܿܢ ܗܘܵܘ ܛܵܝܸܦܵܐ، ܐܝܼܢܵܐ ܐܵܕܝܼܵܐ ܛܵܝܸܦܵܐ ܕܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܝܬܘܿܢ؛ ܒܚܕܵܐ ܥܕܵܢܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܩܘܼܒܸܠܔ ܠܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܪ̈ܲܚܡܹܐ، ܐܝܼܢܵܐ ܐܵܕܝܼܵܐ ܩܘܼܒܸܠܔ ܠܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܪ̈ܲܚܡܹܐ.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 ܡܘܼܚܸܒܝܼ̈، ܦܲܪܦܘܼܠܹܐ ܝܘܸܢ ܒܝܼܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܕܐܲܝܟ݂ ܬܵܘܬܵܒܹ̈ܐ ܘܢܘܼܟ݂ܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ ܕܵܒ݂ܩܝܼܬܘܿܢ ܓܵܢܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܫܲܗܘܲܬܝܵܬܹ̈‌ܐ ܕܦܲܓ݂ܪܵܐ ܕܟܹܐ ܦܵܠܫܝܼ ܕܲܠܩܘܼܒ݂ܠܔ ܕܓܵܢܵܐ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 ܚܹܝܡܘܼܢ ܚܲܝܹ̈ܐ ܫܲܦܝܼܪܹ̈ܐ ܓܵܘ ܐܸܡܘܵܬܹ̈‌ܐ، ܗܵܕܵܐ ܕܐܘܼܦ ܐܸܢ ܗܲܡܙܸܡܝܼ ܕܲܠܩܘܼܒ݂ܠܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܕܝܼܬܘܿܢ ܐܢܵܫܹ̈ܐ ܥܵܒ݂ܕܵܢܹ̈ܐ ܕܒܝܼܫܵܬܹ̈‌ܐ، ܒܸܬ ܚܵܙܝܼ ܦܘܼܠܚܵܢܵܘ̈ܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܛܵܒܹ̈ܐ ܘܫܲܒܚܝܼ ܠܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܕܣܲܚܒܲܪܬܵ‌ܐ.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 ܗܘܹܝܡܘܼܢ ܙܲܒܛ ܠܟܠܔ ܦܘܼܩܕܵܢܵܐ ܕܒܢܲܝ̈ܢܵܫܵܐ ܒܘܼܬ ܚܵܬܸܪ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ، ܝܲܢ ܠܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܣܵܒܵܒ ܝܼܠܹܗ ܪܹܝܫܵܐ ܥܸܠܵܝܵܐ،

14 ܝܲܢ ܠܫܲܠܝܼ̈ܛܹܐ ܕܝܼܢܵܐ ܦܝܼܫܹܐ ܫܘܼܕܪܹܐ ܒܝܼܹܗ ܠܬܲܥܠܘܼܡܹܐ ܠܐܵܢܝܼ ܕܥܵܒ݂ܕܝܼ ܒܝܼܫܵܬܹ̈‌ܐ ܘܠܸܚܩܵܪܵܐ ܠܐܵܢܝܼ ܕܥܵܒ݂ܕܝܼ ܛܵܒ݂ܵܬܹ̈‌ܐ.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 ܣܵܒܵܒ ܗܵܕܟ݂ܵܐ ܝܠܹܗ ܨܸܒ݂ܝܵܢܵܐ ܕܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܕܒܝܲܕ ܦܘܼܠܚܵܢܵܘ̈ܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܛܵܒܹ̈ܐ ܡܲܫܬܸܩܝܼܬܘܿܢ ܣܲܟ݂ܠܘܼܬܵ‌ܐ ܕܐܢܵܫܹ̈ܐ ܠܵܐ ܦܲܪ̈ܡܝܼܵܢܹܐ.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 ܗܘܹܝܡܘܼܢ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܚܹܐܪܹ̈ܐ، ܐܝܼܢܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܡܲܦܠܸܚܝܼܬܘܿܢ ܚܹܐܪܘܼܬܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܚܕܵܐ ܟܲܣܲܝܬܵ‌ܐ ܠܒܝܼܫܘܼܬܵ‌ܐ، ܐܸܠܵܐ ܚܹܝܡܘܼܢ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܪܹ̈ܓܵܘܵܬܹ‌ܐ ܕܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 ܡܝܲܩܪܘܼܢ ܠܟܠܵܝܗ‌ܝ ܐܢܵܫܹ̈ܐ. ܡܲܚܸܒܘܼܢ ܠܐܲܚܘܿܢܘܼܬܵ‌ܐ. ܙܕܹܥܡܘܼܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ. ܡܝܲܩܪܘܼܢ ܠܡܲܠܟܵܐ.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 ܪܹ̈ܓܵܘܵܬܹ‌ܐ، ܫܠܘܿܡܘܼܢ ܠܡܵܪ̈ܵܘܵܬܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܒܟܠܔ ܐܝܼܩܵܪܵܐ، ܠܵܐ ܐܲܚܟ̰ܝܼ ܠܐܵܢܝܼ ܕܝܼܢܵܐ ܛܵܒܹ̈ܐ ܘܡܲܟܝܼܟܹ̈ܐ، ܐܝܼܢܵܐ ܐܘܼܦ ܠܐܵܢܝܼ ܕܝܼܢܵܐ ܩܸܫܝܹ̈ܐ.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 ܣܵܒܵܒ ܐܝܼܩܵܪܵܐ ܝܠܹܗ، ܐܸܢ ܚܲܕ ܐܢܵܫܵܐ ܒܘܼܬ ܚܵܬܸܪ ܕܐܸܢܝܲܬܹܗ ܠܟܸܣ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܩܲܒܸܠܔ ܓ̰ܘܼܢܓ̰ܵܪܵܐ ܒܢܵܗܵܩܘܼܬܵ‌ܐ.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 ܣܵܒܵܒ ܐܲܝܟܵܐ ܝܠܹܗ ܚܸܩܪܵܐ ܐܸܢ ܟܲܕ ܚܸܛܝܹܐ ܝܬܘܿܢ ܘܦܝܼܫܹܐ ܝܬܘܿܢ ܬܘܼܥܠܸܡܹܐ ܘܩܲܒܠܝܼܬܘܿܢ ܠܵܗ̇ ܒܚܡܵܠܬܵ‌ܐ؟ ܐܝܼܢܵܐ ܐܸܢ ܓ̰ܲܢܓ̰ܸܪܝܼܬܘܿܢ ܒܘܼܬ ܦܘܼܠܚܵܢܵܐ ܛܵܒ݂ܵܐ ܘܚܵܡܠܝܼܬܘܿܢ، ܐܵܗܵܐ ܩܒܝܼܠܬܵ‌ܐ ܝܠܵܗ̇ ܠܟܸܣ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 ܣܵܒܵܒ ܠܐܵܗܵܐ ܦܝܼܫ ܠܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܩܸܪܝܹܐ، ܣܵܒܵܒ ܐܘܼܦ ܡܫܝܼܚܵܐ ܩܘܼܒܸܠܔ ܠܹܗ ܚܲܫܵܐ ܒܘܼܬ ܕܝܼܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ، ܘܫܒ݂ܝܼܩ ܠܹܗ ܐܸܠܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܛܘܼܦ̮ܣܵܐ ܕܬܵܒܥܝܼܬܘܿܢ ܠܦܵܣܘܿܥܝܵܬܘܼ̈ܗ‌ܝ.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 ܗ̇ܘ ܠܵܐ ܥܒ݂ܝܼܕ ܠܹܗ ܚܛܝܼܬܵ‌ܐ، ܘܠܵܐ ܦܸܠܡܵܐ ܦܝܼܫ ܠܹܗ ܡܫ݇ܟ̰ܝܼܚܵܐ ܒܦܘܼܡܹܗ.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 ܠܵܐ ܡܘܼܣܠܹܐ ܠܹܗ ܐܝܼܡܲܢ ܕܦܝܼܫ ܠܹܗ ܡܘܼܣܠܝܼܵܐ؛ ܠܵܐ ܒܥܹܐ ܠܹܗ ܕܫܵܩܹܠܔ ܬܘܼܥܠܵܐ ܐܝܼܡܲܢ ܕܦܝܼܫ ܠܹܗ ܓ̰ܘܼܢܓ̰ܸܪܵܐ؛ ܐܸܠܵܐ ܣܘܼܦܝܵܐ ܠܹܗ ܓܵܢܹܗ ܒܗ̇ܘ ܕܟܹܐ ܕܵܐܹܢ ܒܙܲܕܝܼܩܘܼܬܵ‌ܐ.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 ܗ̇ܘ ܒܓܵܢܹܗ ܛܥܝܼܢܹܗ ܚܛܝܼܵܬܲܢ̈ ܒܦܲܓ݂ܪܹܗ ܥܲܠܔ ܙܩܝܼܦܵܐ، ܕܐܲܚܢܲܢ ܡܵܝܬܲܚ ܠܚܛܝܼܵܬܹ̈‌ܐ ܘܚܵܝܲܚ ܠܙܲܕܝܼܩܘܼܬܵ‌ܐ، ܣܵܒܵܒ ܒܕܲܪ̈ܒܵܬܘܼܗ‌ܝ ܦܝܼܫܹܐ ܝܬܘܿܢ ܒܣܝܼܡܹܐ.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 ܣܵܒܵܒ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܥܸܪ̈ܒܹܐ ܛܠܝܼܩܹ̈ܐ ܝܬܘܿܢ ܗܘܵܘ، ܐܝܼܢܵܐ ܐܵܕܝܼܵܐ ܕܝܼܪܵܘܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܠܟܸܣ ܪܵܥܝܵܐ ܘܬܲܓܒܸܪܵܢܵܐ ܕܓܵܢܵܬܵܘ̈ܟ݂ܘܿܢ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
