1 The Mighty One, God, LORD, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down thereof.
1 Deus, o Senhor Deus, fala e chama todos os moradores do mundo, de um lado da terra ao outro.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth.
2 Deus brilha lá de Jerusalém, a cidade de perfeita beleza.
3 Our God comes, and does not keep silence. A fire devours before him, and it is very tempestuous round about him.
3 O nosso Deus está chegando, porém não chega em silêncio. Um fogo destruidor vem na sua frente, e em volta dele há uma violenta tempestade.
4 He calls to the heavens above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
4 Ele chama o céu e a terra como testemunhas para assistirem ao julgamento do seu povo.
5 Gather my sanctified together to me, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
5 Ele diz: “Reúnam aqueles que são fiéis a mim, aqueles que fizeram uma e, como sinal, ofereceram um
6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness, for God is judge himself. Selah.
6 Os céus anunciam que Deus é justo e que ele mesmo é quem vai julgar.
7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify to thee, I am God, [even] thy God.
7 Deus diz: “Escute, meu povo, que eu vou falar; vou ser testemunha contra você, povo de Israel. Eu sou Deus, o seu Deus.
8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices, and thy burnt-offerings [being] continually before me.
8 Não vou repreendê-los por causa dos sacrifícios e das ofertas que vocês sempre me trazem.
9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he-goats out of thy folds.
9 No entanto, eu não preciso dos touros das suas fazendas nem dos bodes dos seus rebanhos.
10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
10 Pois os animais da floresta são meus e também os milhares de cabeças de gado espalhados nas montanhas.
11 I know all the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
11 São meus todos os pássaros dos montes e tudo o que vive nos campos.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee, for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof.
12 “Se eu tivesse fome, não pediria nada a vocês, pois o mundo é meu e tudo o que nele há.
13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
13 Por acaso, preciso comer carne de touros ou beber sangue de bodes?
14 Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay thy vows to the Most High.
14 Que a gratidão de vocês seja o sacrifício que oferecem a Deus, e que vocês deem ao Deus Altíssimo tudo aquilo que prometeram!
15 And call upon me in the day of trouble. I will deliver thee, and thou shall glorify me.
15 Se me chamarem no dia da aflição, eu os livrarei, e vocês me louvarão.”
16 But to the wicked man God says, What have thou to do to declare my statutes, and that thou have taken my covenant in thy mouth,
16 Porém Deus diz aos maus: “Que direito têm vocês de recitar as minhas e de falar a respeito da minha aliança?
17 since thou hate instruction, and cast my words behind thee?
17 Vocês não querem que eu os corrija e não aceitam as minhas ordens.
18 When thou saw a thief, thou consented with him, and have been partaker with adulterers.
18 Vocês ficam amigos de cada ladrão que encontram e andam com pessoas adúlteras.
19 Thou give thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frames deceit.
19 Vocês estão sempre prontos para dizer coisas más e não pensam duas vezes antes de pregar mentiras.
20 Thou sit and speak against thy brother; thou slander thine own mother's son.
20 Estão sempre acusando os seus irmãos e espalhando calúnias a respeito deles.
21 These things thou have done, and I kept silence. Thou thought that I was altogether such a one as thyself. [But] I will reprove thee, and set [them] in order before thine eyes.
21 Vocês fizeram essas coisas, e eu fiquei calado; por isso, pensaram que eu era igual a vocês. Porém agora vou repreendê-los; vou mostrar-lhes os seus erros.
22 Now consider this, ye who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver:
22 “Vocês que esqueceram de mim, pensem bem nisso para que eu não os destrua, sem que ninguém possa salvá-los.
23 Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me. And to him who orders his way [aright] I will show the salvation of God.
23 Aquele que me traz ofertas de gratidão está me honrando, e eu salvarei todos os que andam nos meus caminhos.”
