¹ To the Overseer with stringed instruments. -- A Psalm of Asaph. -- A Song. In Judah [is] God known, in Israel His name [is] great.

¹ Conhecido é Deus em Judá; grande é o seu nome em Israel.

² And His tabernacle is in Salem, And His habitation in Zion.

² E em Salém está o seu tabernáculo, e a sua morada em Sião.

³ There he hath shivered arrows of a bow, Shield, and sword, and battle. Selah.

³ Ali quebrou as flechas do arco; o escudo, e a espada, e a guerra. (Selá.)

⁴ Bright [art] Thou, honourable above hills of prey.

⁵ Spoiled themselves have the mighty of heart, They have slept their sleep, And none of the men of might found their hands.

⁵ Os que são ousados de coração são despojados; dormiram o seu sono; e nenhum dos homens de força achou as próprias mãos.

⁶ From Thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both rider and horse have been fast asleep.

⁶ À tua repreensão, ó Deus de Jacó, carros e cavalos são lançados num sono profundo.

⁷ Thou, fearful [art] Thou, And who doth stand before Thee, Since Thou hast been angry!

⁷ Tu, tu és temível; e quem subsistirá à tua vista, uma vez que te irares?

⁸ From heaven Thou hast sounded judgment, Earth hath feared, and hath been still,

⁸ Desde os céus fizeste ouvir o teu juízo; a terra tremeu e se aquietou,

⁹ In the rising of God to judgment, To save all the humble of earth. Selah.

⁹ Quando Deus se levantou para fazer juízo, para livrar a todos os mansos da terra. (Selá.)

¹⁰ For the fierceness of man praiseth Thee, The remnant of fierceness Thou girdest on.

¹⁰ Certamente a cólera do homem redundará em teu louvor; o restante da cólera tu o restringirás.

¹¹ Vow and complete to Jehovah your God, All ye surrounding him. They bring presents to the Fearful One.

¹¹ Fazei votos, e pagai ao Senhor vosso Deus; tragam presentes, os que estão em redor dele, àquele que é temível.

¹² He doth gather the spirit of leaders, Fearful to the kings of earth!

¹² Ele ceifará o espírito dos príncipes; é tremendo para com os reis da terra.
