¹ A Song, a Psalm, by sons of Korah. Great [is] Jehovah, and praised greatly, In the city of our God -- His holy hill.

¹ Grande é o Senhor e mui digno de ser louvado, na cidade do nosso Deus.

² Beautiful [for] elevation, A joy of all the land, [is] Mount Zion, The sides of the north, the city of a great king.

² Seu santo monte, belo e sobranceiro, é a alegria de toda a terra; o monte Sião, para os lados do Norte, a cidade do grande Rei.

³ God in her high places is known for a tower.

³ Nos palácios dela, Deus se faz conhecer como alto refúgio.

⁴ For, lo, the kings met, they passed by together,

⁴ Por isso, eis que os reis se coligaram e juntos sumiram-se;

⁵ They have seen -- so they have marvelled, They have been troubled, they were hastened away.

⁵ bastou-lhes vê-lo, e se espantaram, tomaram-se de assombro e fugiram apressados.

⁶ Trembling hath seized them there, Pain, as of a travailing woman.

⁶ O terror ali os venceu, e sentiram dores como de parturiente.

⁷ By an east wind Thou shiverest ships of Tarshish.

⁷ Com vento oriental destruíste as naus de Társis.

⁸ As we have heard, so we have seen, In the city of Jehovah of hosts, In the city of our God, God doth establish her -- to the age. Selah.

⁸ Como temos ouvido dizer, assim o vimos na cidade do na cidade do nosso Deus. Deus a estabelece para sempre.

⁹ We have thought, O God, of Thy kindness, In the midst of Thy temple,

⁹ Pensamos, ó Deus, na tua misericórdia no meio do teu templo.

¹⁰ As [is] Thy name, O God, so [is] Thy praise, Over the ends of the earth, Righteousness hath filled Thy right hand.

¹⁰ Como o teu nome, ó Deus, assim o teu louvor se estende até aos confins da terra; a tua destra está cheia de justiça.

¹¹ Rejoice doth Mount Zion, The daughters of Judah are joyful, For the sake of Thy judgments.

¹¹ Alegre-se o monte Sião, exultem as filhas de Judá, por causa dos teus juízos.

¹² Compass Zion, and go round her, count her towers,

¹² Percorrei a Sião, rodeai-a toda, contai-lhe as torres;

¹³ Set your heart to her bulwark, Consider her high places, So that ye recount to a later generation,

¹³ notai bem os seus baluartes, observai os seus palácios, para narrardes às gerações vindouras

¹⁴ That this God [is] our God -- To the age and for ever, He -- he doth lead us over death!

¹⁴ que este é Deus, o nosso Deus para todo o sempre; ele será nosso guia até à morte.
