1 Not to us, O Jehovah, not to us, But to Thy name give honour, For Thy kindness, for Thy truth.
1 Não a nós, SENHOR, não a nós, mas ao teu nome dá glória, por amor da tua benignidade e da tua verdade.
2 Why do the nations say, `Where, pray, [is] their God.
2 Porque dirão os gentios: Onde está o seu Deus?
3 And our God [is] in the heavens, All that He hath pleased He hath done.
3 Mas o nosso Deus está nos céus; fez tudo o que lhe agradou.
4 Their idols [are] silver and gold, work of man`s hands,
4 Os ídolos deles são prata e ouro, obra das mãos dos homens.
5 A mouth they have, and they speak not, Eyes they have, and they see not,
5 Têm boca, mas não falam; olhos têm, mas não vêem.
6 Ears they have, and they hear not, A nose they have, and they smell not,
6 Têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem; narizes têm, mas não cheiram.
7 Their hands, but they handle not, Their feet, and they walk not;
7 Têm mãos, mas não apalpam; pés têm, mas não andam; nem som algum sai da sua garganta.
8 Nor do they mutter through their throat, Like them are their makers, Every one who is trusting in them.
8 A eles se tornem semelhantes os que os fazem, assim como todos os que neles confiam.
9 O Israel, trust in Jehovah, `Their help and their shield [is] He.`
9 Israel, confia no Senhor; ele é o seu auxílio e o seu escudo.
10 O house of Aaron, trust in Jehovah, `Their help and their shield [is] He.`
10 Casa de Arão, confia no Senhor; ele é o seu auxílio e o seu escudo.
11 Ye fearing Jehovah, trust in Jehovah, `Their help and their shield [is] He.`
11 Vós, os que temeis ao Senhor, confiai no Senhor; ele é o seu auxílio e o seu escudo.
12 Jehovah hath remembered us, He blesseth, He blesseth the house of Israel, He blesseth the house of Aaron,
12 O Senhor se lembrou de nós; ele nos abençoará; abençoará a casa de Israel; abençoará a casa de Arão.
13 He blesseth those fearing Jehovah, The small with the great.
13 Abençoará os que temem ao Senhor, tanto pequenos como grandes.
14 Jehovah addeth to you, to you, and to your sons.
14 O Senhor vos aumentará cada vez mais, a vós e a vossos filhos.
15 Blessed [are] ye of Jehovah, maker of heaven and earth,
15 Sois benditos do Senhor, que fez os céus e a terra.
16 The heavens -- the heavens [are] Jehovah`s, And the earth He hath given to sons of men,
16 Os céus são os céus do Senhor; mas a terra a deu aos filhos dos homens.
17 The dead praise not Jah, Nor any going down to silence.
17 Os mortos não louvam ao Senhor, nem os que descem ao silêncio.
18 And we, we bless Jah, From henceforth, and unto the age. Praise ye Jah!
18 Mas nós bendiremos ao Senhor, desde agora e para sempre. Louvai ao Senhor.
