1 And king Solomon is king over all Israel,
1 O rei Salomão reinou sobre todo o Israel.
2 and these [are] the heads whom he hath: Azariah son of Zadok [is] the priest;
2 Eram estes os seus homens principais: Azarias, filho de Zadoque, o principal.
3 Elihoreph and Ahiah sons of Shisha [are] scribes; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud [is] remembrancer;
3 Eliorefe e Aías, filhos de Sisa, eram secretários; Josafá, filho de Ailude, era o cronista;
4 and Benaiah son of Jehoiada [is] over the host; and Zadok and Abiathar [are] priests;
4 Benaia, filho de Joiada, era comandante do exército; Zadoque e Abiatar eram sacerdotes;
5 and Azariah son of Nathan [is] over the officers; and Zabud son of Nathan [is] minister, friend of the king;
5 Azarias, filho de Natã, era intendente-chefe; Zabude, filho de Natã, ministro, amigo do rei;
6 And Ahishar [is] over the household, and Adoniram son of Abda [is] over the tribute.
6 Aisar, mordomo; Adonirão, filho de Abda, superintendente dos que trabalhavam forçados.
7 And Solomon hath twelve officers over all Israel, and they have sustained the king and his household -- a month in the year is on each one for sustenance;
7 Tinha Salomão doze intendentes sobre todo o Israel, que forneciam mantimento ao rei e à sua casa; cada um tinha de fornecer durante um mês do ano.
8 and these [are] their names: Ben-Hur in the hill-country of Ephraim;
8 São estes os seus nomes: Ben-Hur, nas montanhas de Efraim;
9 Ben-Dekar in Makaz, and Shaalbim, and Beth-Shemesh, and Elon-Beth-Hanan.
9 Ben-Dequer, em Macaz, Saalabim, Bete-Semes, Elom e Bete-Hanã;
10 Ben-Hesed [is] in Aruboth, hath Sochoh and all the land of Hepher;
10 Ben-Hesede, em Arubote; a este pertencia também Socó e toda a terra de Héfer;
11 Ben-Abinadab [hath] all the elevation of Dor, Taphath daughter of Solomon became his wife.
11 Ben-Abinadabe tinha toda a cordilheira de Dor; Tafate, filha de Salomão, era sua mulher.
12 Baana Ben-Ahilud [hath] Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-Shean, which [is] by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-Shean unto Abel-Meholah, unto beyond Jokneam.
12 Baaná, filho de Ailude, tinha a Taanaque, e a Megido, e a toda a Bete-Seã, que está junto a Zaretã, abaixo de Jezreel, desde Bete-Seã até Abel-Meolá, até além de Jocmeão.
13 Ben-Geber, in Ramoth-Gilead, hath the small towns of Jair son of Manasseh, which [are] in Gilead; he hath a portion of Argob that [is] in Bashan, sixty great cities [with] wall and brazen bar.
13 Ben-Geber, em Ramote-Gileade; tinha este as aldeias de Jair, filho de Manassés, as quais estão em Gileade; também tinha a região de Argobe, a qual está em Basã, sessenta grandes cidades com muros e ferrolhos de bronze.
14 Ahinadab son of Iddo [hath] Mahanaim.
14 Ainadabe, filho de Ido, em Maanaim;
15 Ahimaaz [is] in Naphtali; he also hath taken Basemath daughter of Solomon for a wife.
15 Aimaás, em Naftali; também este tomou filha de Salomão por mulher, a saber, Basemate.
16 Baanah Ben-Hushai [is] in Asher, and in Aloth.
16 Baaná, filho de Husai, em Aser e Bealote;
17 Jehoshaphat Ben-Paruah [is] in Issachar.
17 Josafá, filho de Parua, em Issacar;
18 Shimei Ben-Elah [is] in Benjamin.
18 Simei, filho de Elá, em Benjamim;
19 Geber Ben-Uri [is] in the land of Gilead, the land of Sihon king of the Amorite, and of Og king of Bashan: and one officer who [is] in the land.
19 Geber, filho de Uri, na terra de Gileade, a terra de Seom, rei dos amorreus, e de Ogue, rei de Basã; e havia só um intendente nesta terra.
20 Judah and Israel [are] many, as the sand that [is] by the sea for multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing.
20 Eram, pois, os de Judá e Israel muitos, numerosos como a areia que está ao pé do mar; comiam, bebiam e se alegravam.
21 And Solomon hath been ruling over all the kingdoms, from the River [to] the land of the Philistines and unto the border of Egypt: they are bringing nigh a present, and serving Solomon, all days of his life.
21 Dominava Salomão sobre todos os reinos desde o Eufrates até à terra dos filisteus e até à fronteira do Egito; os quais pagavam tributo e serviram a Salomão todos os dias da sua vida.
22 And the provision of Solomon for one day is thirty cors of flour, and sixty cors of meal;
22 Era, pois, o provimento diário de Salomão trinta coros de flor de farinha e sessenta coros de farinha;
23 ten fat oxen, and twenty feeding oxen, and a hundred sheep, apart from hart, and roe, and fallow-deer, and fatted beasts of the stalls,
23 dez bois cevados, vinte bois de pasto e cem carneiros, afora os veados, as gazelas, os corços e aves cevadas.
24 for he is ruling over all beyond the river, from Tiphsah and unto Gaza, over all the kings beyond the river, and he hath peace from all his servants round about.
24 Porque dominava sobre toda a região e sobre todos os reis aquém do Eufrates, desde Tifsa até Gaza, e tinha paz por todo o derredor.
25 And Judah dwelleth -- and Israel -- in confidence, each under his vine, and under his fig-tree, from Dan even unto Beer-Sheba, all the days of Solomon.
25 Judá e Israel habitavam confiados, cada um debaixo da sua videira e debaixo da sua figueira, desde Dã até Berseba, todos os dias de Salomão.
26 And Solomon hath forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
26 Tinha também Salomão quarenta mil cavalos em estrebarias, para os seus carros, e doze mil cavaleiros.
27 And these officers have sustained king Solomon and every one drawing near unto the table of king Solomon, each [in] his month; they let nothing be lacking.
27 Forneciam, pois, os intendentes provisões, cada um no seu mês, ao rei Salomão e a todos quantos lhe chegavam à mesa; coisa nenhuma deixavam faltar.
28 And the barley and the straw, for horses and for dromedaries, they bring in unto the place where they are, each according to his ordinance.
28 Também levavam a cevada e a palha para os cavalos e os ginetes, para o lugar onde estivesse o rei, segundo lhes fora prescrito.
29 And God giveth wisdom to Solomon, and understanding, very much, and breadth of heart, as the sand that [is] on the edge of the sea;
29 Deu também Deus a Salomão sabedoria, grandíssimo entendimento e larga inteligência como a areia que está na praia do mar.
30 and the wisdom of Solomon is greater than the wisdom of any of the sons of the east, and than all the wisdom of Egypt;
30 Era a sabedoria de Salomão maior do que a de todos os do Oriente e do que toda a sabedoria dos egípcios.
31 and he is wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol, and his name is in all the nations round about.
31 Era mais sábio do que todos os homens, mais sábio do que Etã, ezraíta, e do que Hemã, Calcol e Darda, filhos de Maol; e correu a sua fama por todas as nações em redor.
32 And he speaketh three thousand similes, and his songs [are] five, and the chief one;
32 Compôs três mil provérbios, e foram os seus cânticos mil e cinco.
33 and he speaketh concerning the trees, from the cedar that [is] in Lebanon, even unto the hyssop that is coming out in the wall, and he speaketh concerning the cattle, and concerning the fowl, and concerning the creeping things, and concerning the fishes,
33 Discorreu sobre todas as plantas, desde o cedro que está no Líbano até ao hissopo que brota do muro; também falou dos animais e das aves, dos répteis e dos peixes.
34 and there come out of all the peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth who have heard of his wisdom.
34 De todos os povos vinha gente a ouvir a sabedoria de Salomão, e também enviados de todos os reis da terra que tinham ouvido da sua sabedoria.
