1 These [are] sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
1 Jacó foi pai de doze filhos: Rúben, Simeão, Levi, Judá, Issacar, Zebulom,
2 Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

3 Sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah, three have been born to him of a daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, first-born of Judah, is evil in the eyes of Jehovah, and He putteth him to death.
3 Judá foi pai de cinco filhos ao todo. A sua mulher cananeia, que se chamava Bate-Sua, lhe deu três filhos: Er, Onã e Selá. Er, o filho mais velho, era tão mau, que o Senhor Deus o matou.
4 And Tamar his daughter-in-law hath borne to him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah [are] five.
4 Tamar, a nora de Judá, lhe deu mais dois filhos: Peres e Zera.
5 Sons of Pharez: Hezron, and Hamul.
5 Peres foi pai de dois filhos: Hezrom e Hamul.
6 And sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara; all of them five.
6 Zera foi pai de cinco filhos: Zinri, Etã, Hemã, Calcol e Dara.
7 And sons of Carmi: Achar, troubler of Israel, who trespassed in the devoted thing.
7 Acar , filho de Carmi, um dos descendentes de Zera, trouxe desgraça para o povo de Israel, por ter ficado com coisas conquistadas na guerra, as quais haviam sido dedicadas a Deus.
8 And sons of Ethan: Azariah.
8 Etã foi pai de um filho chamado Azarias.
9 And sons of Hezron who were born to him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.
9 Hezrom foi pai de três filhos: Jerameel, Rão e Calebe.
10 And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the sons of Judah;
10 Rão foi pai de Aminadabe, e Aminadabe foi pai de Nasom, um dos chefes da tribo de Judá;
11 and Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,
11 Nasom foi pai de Salma, e Salma foi pai de Boaz;
12 and Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse;

13 and Jesse begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third,

14 Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
14 Netanel, Radai,
15 Ozem the sixth, David the seventh,

16 and their sisters Zeruiah and Abigail. And sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, and Joab, and Asah-El -- three.
16 Jessé também foi pai de duas filhas: Zeruia e Abigail. Zeruia teve três filhos: Abisai, Joabe e Asael.
17 And Abigail hath borne Amasa, and the father of Amasa [is] Jether the Ishmeelite.
17 Abigail casou com Jéter, que era descendente de Ismael, e eles tiveram um filho chamado Amasa.
18 And Caleb son of Hezron hath begotten Azubah, Isshah, and Jerioth; and these [are] her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
18 Calebe, filho de Hezrom, casou com Azuba, e eles tiveram uma filha chamada Jeriote. Ela teve três filhos: Jeser, Sobabe e Ardom.
19 And Azubah dieth, and Caleb taketh to him Ephrath, and she beareth to him Hur.
19 Depois da morte de Azuba, Calebe casou com Efrata, e eles tiveram um filho chamado Hur.
20 And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.
20 Hur foi pai de um filho chamado Uri e teve um neto chamado Bezalel.
21 And afterwards hath Hezron gone in unto a daughter of Machir father of Gilead, and he hath taken her, and he [is] a son of sixty years, and she beareth to him Segub.
21 Quando Hezrom tinha sessenta anos de idade, casou com a filha de Maquir, a irmã de Gileade. Eles tiveram um filho chamado Segube,
22 And Segub begat Jair, and he hath twenty and three cities in the land of Gilead,
22 e Segube foi pai de um filho chamado Jair. Jair governou vinte e três cidades na região de Gileade.
23 and he taketh Geshur and Aram, the small villages of Jair, from them, with Kenath and its small towns, sixty cities -- all these [belonged to] the sons of Machir father of Gilead.
23 Mas os reinos de Gesur e Arã conquistaram sessenta cidades dali, incluindo as aldeias de Jair e a cidade de Quenate e os seus povoados. Todas as pessoas que moravam ali eram descendentes de Maquir, o pai de Gileade.
24 And after the death of Hezron in Caleb-Ephratah, then the wife of Hezron, Abijah, even beareth to him Asshur, father of Tekoa.
24 Depois que Hezrom morreu, o seu filho Calebe casou com Efrata, a viúva do seu pai. Eles tiveram um filho chamado Azur, que fundou a cidade de Tecoa.
25 And sons of Jerahmeel, first-born of Hezron, are: the first-born Ram, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah.
25 Jerameel, o filho mais velho de Hezrom, foi pai de cinco filhos: Rão, o mais velho, Buna, Orém, Ozém e Aías. Rão foi pai de três filhos: Maaz, Jamim e Équer. Jerameel teve outra esposa, uma mulher chamada Atara, e eles tiveram um filho chamado Onã.
26 And Jerahmeel hath another wife, and her name [is] Atarah, she [is] mother of Onam.

27 And sons of Ram, first-born of Jerahmeel, are Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

28 And sons of Onam are Shammai and Jada. And sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.
28 Onã foi pai de dois filhos: Samai e Jada, e Samai também foi pai de dois filhos, que se chamavam Nadabe e Abisur.
29 And the name of the wife of Abishur [is] Abihail, and she beareth to him Ahban and Molid.
29 Abisur casou com uma mulher chamada Abiail, e eles tiveram dois filhos, que se chamavam Abã e Molide.
30 And sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; and Seled dieth without sons.
30 Nadabe foi pai de dois filhos, que se chamavam Selede e Apaim. Selede morreu sem ter tido filhos,
31 And sons of Appaim: Ishi. And sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.
31 e Apaim foi pai de Isi, Isi foi pai de Sesã, e Sesã foi pai de Alai.
32 And sons of Jada, brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether dieth without sons.
32 Jada, o irmão de Samai, foi pai de dois filhos, que se chamavam Jéter e Jônatas. Jéter morreu sem ter tido filhos,
33 And sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were sons of Jerahmeel.
33 e Jônatas foi pai de dois filhos: Pelete e Zaza. Todos esses foram descendentes de Jerameel.
34 And Sheshan had no sons, but daughters, and Sheshan hath a servant, an Egyptian, and his name [is] Jarha,
34 Sesã não teve filhos; só filhas. Ele tinha um escravo egípcio que se chamava Jara.
35 and Sheshan giveth his daughter to Jarha his servant for a wife, and she beareth to him Attai;
35 Sesã deu uma das suas filhas em casamento a Jara. Eles tiveram um filho, que se chamava Atai.
36 and Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,
36 Atai foi pai de Natã, e Natã foi pai de Zabade.
37 and Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

38 and Obed begat Jehu,

39 and Jehu begat Azariah, and Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,
39 Azarias foi pai de Heles, e Heles foi pai de Eleasa.
40 and Eleasah begat Sismai, and Sismai begat Shallum,
40 Eleasa foi pai de Sisamai, e Sisamai foi pai de Salum.
41 and Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.
41 Salum foi pai de Jecamias, e Jecamias foi pai de Elisama.
42 And sons of Caleb brother of Jerahmeel: Mesha his first-born, he [is] father of Ziph; and sons of Mareshah: Abi-Hebron.
42 O filho mais velho de Calebe, irmão de Jerameel, se chamava Messa. Messa foi pai de Zife, Zife foi pai de Maressa, e Maressa foi pai de Hebrom.
43 And sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.
43 Hebrom foi pai de quatro filhos: Corá, Tapua, Requém e Sema.
44 And Shema begat Raham father of Jorkoam, and Rekem begat Shammai.
44 Sema foi pai de Raão e avô de Jorqueão. Requém foi pai de Samai,
45 And a son of Shammai [is] Maon, and Maon [is] father of Beth-Zur.
45 Samai foi pai de Maom, e Maom foi pai de Bete-Zur.
46 And Ephah concubine of Caleb bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begat Gazez.
46 Calebe tinha uma concubina chamada Efa, e ela lhe deu mais três filhos: Harã, Mosa e Gazez. Harã também foi pai de um filho chamado Gazez.
47 And sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshem, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.
47 (Um homem chamado Jadai foi pai de seis filhos: Regém, Jotão, Gesã, Pelete, Efa e Saafe.)
48 The concubine of Caleb, Maachah, bare Sheber and Tirhanah;
48 Calebe tinha outra concubina, chamada Maacá, que lhe deu dois filhos: Seber e Tiraná.
49 and she beareth Shaaph father of Madmannah, Sheva father of Machbenah, and father of Gibea; and a daughter of Caleb [is] Achsa.
49 Mais tarde ela teve mais dois filhos: Saafe e Seva. Saafe fundou a cidade de Madmana, e Seva fundou as cidades de Macbena e Gibeá. Calebe também foi pai de uma filha chamada Acsa.
50 These were sons of Caleb son of Hur, first-born of Ephrathah: Shobal father of Kirjath-Jearim,
50 As seguintes pessoas também foram descendentes de Calebe: Hur foi o filho mais velho de Calebe com a sua mulher Efrata. Sobal, filho de Hur, fundou a cidade de Quiriate-Jearim.
51 Salma father of Beth-Lehem, Hareph father of Beth-Gader.
51 Salma, o seu segundo filho, fundou a cidade de Belém, e Harefe, o terceiro, fundou Bete-Gader.
52 And there are sons to Shobal father of Kirjath-Jearim: Haroeh, half of the Menuhothite;
52 Sobal, que fundou Quiriate-Jearim, foi o antepassado do povo de Haroé e de metade dos moradores de Menuote.
53 and the families of Kirjath-Jearim: the Ithrite, and the Puhite, and the Shumathite, and the Mishraite: from these went out the Zareathite, and the Eshtaulite.
53 Foi também o antepassado dos seguintes grupos de famílias que moravam em Quiriate-Jearim: os itritas, os puítas, os sumateus e os misraeus. Os povos das cidades de Zora e Estaol pertenciam a esses grupos de famílias.
54 Sons of Salma: Beth-Lehem, and the Netophathite, Atroth, Beth-Joab, and half of the Menuhothite, the Zorite;
54 Salma, o fundador de Belém, foi o antepassado do povo de Netofa, de Atarote-Bete-Joabe e dos zoreus, que eram um dos dois grupos de famílias de Manaate.
55 and the families of the scribes the inhabitants of Jabez: Tirathites, Shimeathites, Suchathites. They [are] the Kenites, those coming of Hammath father of the house of Rechab.
55 (Os grupos de famílias dos escrivães que moravam em Jabes foram os tiratitas, os simeatitas e os sucatitas. Eles eram queneus que haviam casado com os recabitas.)
