1 And God spoke all these words, saying:
1 Então, falou Deus todas estas palavras:
2 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
2 Eu sou o Senhor , teu Deus, que te tirei da terra do Egito, da casa da servidão.
3 You shall have no other gods before Me.
3 Não terás outros deuses diante de mim.
4 You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything in the heavens above, or in the earth beneath, or in the waters under the earth;
4 Não farás para ti imagem de escultura, nem semelhança alguma do que há em cima nos céus, nem embaixo na terra, nem nas águas debaixo da terra.
5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them; for I, Jehovah your God, am a jealous Mighty God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
5 Não as adorarás, nem lhes darás culto; porque eu sou o Senhor , teu Deus, Deus zeloso, que visito a iniquidade dos pais nos filhos até à terceira e quarta geração daqueles que me aborrecem
6 but showing goodness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
6 e faço misericórdia até mil gerações daqueles que me amam e guardam os meus mandamentos.
7 You shall not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain, for Jehovah will not leave unpunished one who takes His name in vain.
7 Não tomarás o nome do Senhor , teu Deus, em vão, porque o Senhor não terá por inocente o que tomar o seu nome em vão.
8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
8 Lembra-te do dia de sábado, para o santificar.
9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
9 Seis dias trabalharás e farás toda a tua obra.
10 and the seventh day is the Sabbath of Jehovah your God. In it you shall not do any work; you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your sojourner who is within your gates.
10 Mas o sétimo dia é o sábado do Senhor , teu Deus; não farás nenhum trabalho, nem tu, nem o teu filho, nem a tua filha, nem o teu servo, nem a tua serva, nem o teu animal, nem o forasteiro das tuas portas para dentro;
11 For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore Jehovah has blessed the Sabbath day and consecrated it.
11 porque, em seis dias, fez o Senhor os céus e a terra, o mar e tudo o que neles há e, ao sétimo dia, descansou; por isso, o Senhor abençoou o dia de sábado e o santificou.
12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which Jehovah your God is giving you.
12 Honra teu pai e tua mãe, para que se prolonguem os teus dias na terra que o Senhor , teu Deus, te dá.
13 You shall not murder.
13 Não matarás.
14 You shall not commit adultery.
14 Não adulterarás.
15 You shall not steal.
15 Não furtarás.
16 You shall not testify a witness of falsehood against your neighbor.
16 Não dirás falso testemunho contra o teu próximo.
17 You shall not covet your neighbors house; you shall not covet your neighbors wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor.
17 Não cobiçarás a casa do teu próximo. Não cobiçarás a mulher do teu próximo, nem o seu servo, nem a sua serva, nem o seu boi, nem o seu jumento, nem coisa alguma que pertença ao teu próximo.
18 And all the people saw the thunders, the lightning flashes, the sound of the shofar, and the smoking mountain; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood at a distance.
18 Todo o povo presenciou os trovões, e os relâmpagos, e o clangor da trombeta, e o monte fumegante; e o povo, observando, se estremeceu e ficou de longe.
19 And they said unto Moses, You speak with us, and we will listen; but let not God speak with us, that we not die.
19 Disseram a Moisés: Fala-nos tu, e te ouviremos; porém não fale Deus conosco, para que não morramos.
20 And Moses said to the people, Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, that you not sin.
20 Respondeu Moisés ao povo: Não temais; Deus veio para vos provar e para que o seu temor esteja diante de vós, a fim de que não pequeis.
21 And the people stood at a distance, and Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.
21 O povo estava de longe, em pé; Moisés, porém, se chegou à nuvem escura onde Deus estava.
22 And Jehovah said unto Moses, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: You have seen that I have spoken with you from the heavens.
22 Então, disse o Senhor a Moisés: Assim dirás aos filhos de Israel: Vistes que dos céus eu vos falei.
23 You shall not make for yourselves, along with Me, gods of silver or gods of gold.
23 Não fareis deuses de prata ao lado de mim, nem deuses de ouro fareis para vós outros.
24 An altar of earth you shall make for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I cause My name to be remembered, I will come to you, and I will bless you.
24 Um altar de terra me farás e sobre ele sacrificarás os teus holocaustos, as tuas ofertas pacíficas, as tuas ovelhas e os teus bois; em todo lugar onde eu fizer celebrar a memória do meu nome, virei a ti e te abençoarei.
25 And if you make Me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stone; for if you wield your tool upon it, you defile it.
25 Se me levantares um altar de pedras, não o farás de pedras lavradas; pois, se sobre ele manejares a tua ferramenta, profaná-lo-ás.
26 Nor shall you go up by steps to My altar, that your nakedness may not be exposed on it.
26 Nem subirás por degrau ao meu altar, para que a tua nudez não seja ali exposta.
