1 Hliŋwahla ta inda ghwaɗaka skwiha ma ŋuɗufa ghuni, ma kuslember kuni ta kuslemberaku, ma pghə kuni ta wirak his ma vu, ma haraʼu kuni ta haraʼuwaku, ma tsanava kuni ta skwi ta mndu guli.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Manda zwaŋa vziʼuwa ta mama uʼa da mani ya, mantsaya ka kaghuni guli mama vərɗa gwaɗa Lazglafta ŋa glay ghuni ta glaku nda tsi, ŋa mutsay ghuni ta mbaku ŋa ɗekɗek.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 «Lawa ta kəma ta kəma, kabga tapanatapa kuni ta zɗakwa Mgham Yesu Kristi.»
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Gavanavawagava ta Mgham Yesu Kristi. Tsatsi tsa pala ta vla hafu wuɗidiŋ mnduha ya. Tsatsi zbap Lazglafta ta hemanata inda skwi ta wa irani.

5 Kaghuni guli, nzawanza ka pala nda hafu mida, ya ta kəl lu ka ba həga mndərga ŋa Sulkum, ŋa nzakwa ghuni ka guyata ghəŋa gwal nda ghuɓa ta vla skwi manda ya ta kumə Sulkum. Tsaya skwi ta zɗəganatá Lazglafta nda ma Yesu Kristi.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Ka lu vindafta ma deftera Lazglafta na:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Ka ŋa kaghuni gwal ta zlghafta ya ná, dagala sgitani, ama mantsaya a da gwal kul zlghafta wa. Ka lu vindafta ma deftera Lazglafta na:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Ka lu vindafta guli na:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ama kaghuni ya, nda nza kaghuni ka mndəra mndu zabap Lazglafta, ka guyata ghəŋa gwal ta vla skwi ŋa Lazglafta, ka gwal faghu Lazglafta ka ŋani. Tsatsi ta hagaftá kaghuni ka hlagaghunapta ma grusl, ka pghaghunamta ma tsuwaɗak ta ndərmim lu nda ndərmima, ŋa mna skwi maga tsi ta malaghutá mbraku.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ghalya ná, si nza a kuni ka mnduha Lazglafta wu, ama ndanana, nda nza kuni ka ŋani. Ghalya mutsaf a kuni ta tawa hiɗahiɗa Lazglafta wu, ama ndanana, mutsafmutsa kuni.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Zwanama ɗa gwal ta ɗvu yu nda ŋuɗufa ɗa, ɗina ka snaŋta ghuni kazlay, manda matbay nzakwa ghuni, gɗavata a kuni ma na ghəŋa haɗik na wu kəʼa. Tsaya ta kəl yu ka vla mbraku ŋa ghuni, ka wara kuni ta skwi ya ta haraʼuwa kaghuni. Ya hafa ghuni ta zbə tsa skwiha ya.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ɗina ka kuni nzaku mataba gwal kul snaŋtá Lazglafta. Ŋa nzakwani dər má ta vaza rutsak həŋ ta kaghuni, ŋa nghay taŋ ta ŋərma slna ya ta magə kuni, ŋa zləzlvay taŋ ta Lazglafta baɗu dzaʼa sagha tsi da guyaku nda həŋ.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Ma tsa nzakwa ghuni ka ŋa Yesu Kristi ya, hanaganawahana ta ghəŋa ghuni mista inda gwal ta ga mgham ta ghəŋa mnduha. Haniŋwa ghəŋ mista mgham dagala, ta ga mgham ta ghəŋa inda skwi.
13 — ausente —
14 Haniŋwa ghəŋa ghuni mista ŋumna ya fa lu ŋa tsanaghatá guma ta gwal ta maga ghwaɗaka skwi, nda ya ŋa ghuba gwal maga skwi ɗina.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Kumaŋkuma Lazglafta ta magay ghuni ta skwi ɗina, ŋa hanaftá wi ta gwal kul snaŋtá skwi, ta gutá rgha taŋ.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Nzawanza ka gwal falaʼu vgha taŋ. Nziya nza tsi ná, ma nza tsa falaʼuwata vgha ghuni ya, ka skwi ŋa bukwanatá ghwaɗaka skwi. Ama nzawanza ta nzaku ya ta maraŋtá nzakwa ghuni ka gwal ta ksanatá slna ta Lazglafta.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Vlawavla ta glaku ŋa inda mndu, ɗvuwaɗva ta zwanama ghuni ma zlghay nda ŋuɗuf, zləŋawazləŋa ta Lazglafta, vlawavla ta glaku ŋa Mgham dagala.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Kaghuni la kwalva, hanaganawa ghəŋa ghuni mista daŋahəga ghuni, ka zləŋa kuni ta həŋ kahwathwata. Mista gwal zɗa ghəŋa taŋ nda gwal leɓtekwa yeya a wu, ama nduk nda ya mista gwal təŋtəŋa nzakwa taŋ tani.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Ka lagha mndu ka suʼa ghuya ɗaŋwa, ta ghəŋa kumayni ta nzaku manda ya ta zɗəganatá Lazglafta, dər má si ra a ghuyayni ta tsa ɗaŋwa ya wu katsi ná, skwi ɗina ya.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ka lagha ghuni ka gatá gwaɗa, ka ghuyə lu ta ɗaŋwa ŋa ghuni ta ghəŋani, ka suʼaftá kuni katsi, mamu mndu dzaʼa ghuba kaghuni ra? Ama ka lagha ghuni ka magatá skwi ɗina, ka ghuyə lu ta ɗaŋwa ŋa ghuni ta ghəŋani, ka suʼaftá kuni katsi, skwi ɗina tsaya da Lazglafta.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ka ŋa tsaya hgafta lu ta kaghuni, kabga ghuyghuya Yesu Kristi ta ɗaŋwa guli ta ghəŋa kaghuni. Tvi ya taghunap tsi ŋa ksay ghuni guli ta səlani.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Tsatsi ná, walaŋ a ta gatá dmaku wu, haɗ sana tsakalawi ta sabi ma wani wa.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ma fitika razay mnduha, vranam a ta həŋ nda razu wa. Ma fitika ghuyay lu ta ɗaŋwa ŋani, tha a kazlay: Nyaʼ, kabgawu na kəʼa wa. Ka zlanaŋtá tsi ta ghəŋani ta Lazglafta ya ta tsa guma nda tvani ya.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Tsatsi ka ghəŋani ta klaftá dmakwa mu ta vghani ma zləŋafta lu ta udza zləŋay. Ŋa nzakwa mu ka gwal nda rwa tvə dmaku, ŋa nzay mu ta nzakwa tɗukwa. Nda ma tsa balanata ya mbaghunafta lu.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Ghalya si nda nza kuni manda tuwakha nda zaɗa, ama ndanana tama, vrakvra kuni da mnda ngha tuwak ta nghapta ka hafa ghuni guli.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
