1 In the daies of hym Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, stiede, and Joachym was maad seruaunt to hym by thre yeeris; and eft Joachym rebellide ayens hym.
1 Nos dias de Jeoaquim, subiu Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, contra ele, e ele, por três anos, ficou seu servo; então, se rebelou contra ele.
2 And the Lord sente to hym theuys of Caldeis, and theuys of Sirie, and theuys of Moab, and theuys of the sones of Amon; and he sente hem `in to Juda, that he schulde destrie it, bi the word of the Lord, which he spak bi hise seruauntis prophetis.
2 Enviou o Senhor contra Jeoaquim bandos de caldeus, e bandos de siros, e de moabitas, e dos filhos de Amom; enviou-os contra Judá para o destruir, segundo a palavra que o Senhor falara pelos profetas, seus servos.
3 Forsothe this was doon bi the word of the Lord ayens Juda, that he schulde do awei it bifor him silf, for the synnes of Manasses, and alle thingis whiche he dide,
3 Com efeito, isto sucedeu a Judá por mandado do Senhor , que o removeu da sua presença, por causa de todos os pecados cometidos por Manassés,
4 and for the giltles blood which he sched out; and he fillide Jerusalem with the blood of innocentis; and for this thing the Lord nolde do mercy.
4 como também por causa do sangue inocente que ele derramou, com o qual encheu a cidade de Jerusalém; por isso, o Senhor não o quis perdoar.
5 Forsothe the residue of wordis of Joachim, and alle thingis whiche he dide, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Juda?
5 Quanto aos mais atos de Jeoaquim e a tudo quanto fez, porventura, não estão escritos no Livro da História dos Reis de Judá?
6 And Joachym slept with hise fadris, and Joakyn, his sone, regnyde for him.
6 Descansou Jeoaquim com seus pais; e Joaquim, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
7 And the kyng of Egipt addide no more to go out of hys lond; for the kyng of Babiloyne hadde take alle thingis that weren the kyngis of Egipt, fro the strond of Egipt `til to the flood Eufrates.
7 O rei do Egito nunca mais saiu da sua terra; porque o rei da Babilônia tomou tudo quanto era dele, desde o ribeiro do Egito até ao rio Eufrates.
8 Joakyn was of eiytene yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnyde thre monethis in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Nahesta, douytir of Helnathan of Jerusalem.
8 Tinha Joaquim dezoito anos de idade quando começou a reinar e reinou três meses em Jerusalém. Sua mãe se chamava Neústa e era filha de Elnatã, de Jerusalém.
9 And he dide yuel bifor the Lord, bi alle thingis whiche hise fadir hadde do.
9 Fez ele o que era mau perante o Senhor , conforme tudo quanto fizera seu pai.
10 In that tyme the seruauntis of Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, stieden `in to Jerusalem, and the citee was cumpassid with bisegyngis.
10 Naquele tempo, subiram os servos de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, a Jerusalém, e a cidade foi cercada.
11 And Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, cam to the citee with hise seruauntis, that he schulde fiyte ayens it.
11 Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, veio à cidade, quando os seus servos a sitiavam.
12 And Joakyn, kyng of Juda, yede out to the king of Babiloyne, he, and his modir, and hise seruauntis, and hise princis, and hise chaumburleyns; and the king of Babiloyne resseyuede him, in the eiythe yeer of `his rewme.
12 Então, subiu Joaquim, rei de Judá, a encontrar-se com o rei da Babilônia, ele, sua mãe, seus servos, seus príncipes e seus oficiais; e o rei da Babilônia, no oitavo ano do seu reinado, o levou cativo.
13 And he brouyte forth fro thens alle the tresours of the `hous of the Lord, and the tresours of the kingis hous; and he beet togider alle the goldun vessels, whiche Salomon, king of Israel, hadde maad in the temple of the Lord, bi the `word of the Lord.
13 Levou dali todos os tesouros da Casa do Senhor e os tesouros da casa do rei; e, segundo tinha dito o Senhor , cortou em pedaços todos os utensílios de ouro que fizera Salomão, rei de Israel, para o templo do Senhor .
14 And he translatide al Jerusalem, and alle the princis, and alle the strong men of the oost, ten thousynde, in to caitiftee, and ech crafti man, and goldsmyyt; and no thing was left, outakun the pore puplis of the lond.
14 Transportou a toda a Jerusalém, todos os príncipes, todos os homens valentes, todos os artífices e ferreiros, ao todo dez mil; ninguém ficou, senão o povo pobre da terra.
15 Also he translatide Joakyn in to Babiloyne, and the moder of the king, `the wyues of the king, and the chaumburleyns of the king; and he ledde the iugis of the lond in to caitifte fro Jerusalem in to Babiloyne;
15 Transferiu também a Joaquim para a Babilônia; a mãe do rei, as mulheres deste, seus oficiais e os homens principais da terra, ele os levou cativos de Jerusalém à Babilônia.
16 and alle stronge men, seuene thousynde; and crafti men and goldsmyythis, a thousynde; alle stronge men and werriouris; and the king of Babiloyne ledde hem prisoners in to Babiloyne.
16 Todos os homens valentes, até sete mil, e os artífices, e ferreiros, até mil, todos eles destros na guerra, levou-os o rei da Babilônia cativos para a Babilônia.
17 And he ordeynede Mathanye, the brother of his fadir, for hym; and puttide to hym the name Sedechie.
17 O rei da Babilônia estabeleceu rei, em lugar de Joaquim, ao tio paterno deste, Matanias, de quem mudou o nome para Zedequias.
18 Sedechie hadde the oon and twentithe yeer of age, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnyde eleuene yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Amychal, douyter of Jeremye of Lobna.
18 Tinha Zedequias a idade de vinte e um anos quando começou a reinar e reinou onze anos em Jerusalém. Sua mãe se chamava Hamutal e era filha de Jeremias, de Libna.
19 And he dide yuel bifor the Lord, bi alle thingis which Joachym hadde do.
19 Fez ele o que era mau perante o Senhor , conforme tudo quanto fizera Joaquim.
20 For the Lord was wrooth ayens Jerusalem, and ayens Juda, til he caste hem awey fro his face; and Sedechie yede awei fro the king of Babiloyne.
20 Assim sucedeu por causa da ira do Senhor contra Jerusalém e contra Judá, a ponto de os rejeitar de sua presença. Zedequias rebelou-se contra o rei da Babilônia.
