¹ Se o Senhor não edificar a casa, em vão trabalham os que a edificam. Se o em vão vigia a sentinela.

² For thou schalt ete the trauels of thin hondis; thou art blessid, and it schal be wel to thee.

² Será inútil levantar de madrugada, dormir tarde, comer o pão que conseguiram com tanto esforço; aos seus amados ele o dá enquanto dormem.

³ Thi wijf as a plenteous vyne; in the sidis of thin hous. Thi sones as the newe sprenges of olyue trees; in the cumpas of thi bord.

³ Herança do Senhor são os filhos; o fruto do ventre, seu galardão.

⁴ Lo! so a man schal be blessid; that dredith the Lord.

⁴ Como flechas na mão do guerreiro, assim são os filhos da sua mocidade.

⁵ The Lord blesse thee fro Syon; and se thou the goodis of Jerusalem in alle the daies of thi lijf.

⁵ Feliz o homem que enche deles a sua aljava; não será envergonhado, quando enfrentar os seus inimigos no tribunal.

⁶ And se thou the sones of thi sones; se thou pees on Israel.
