1 But we saddere men owen to susteyne the feblenesses of sijke men, and not plese to vs silf.
1 Assim que nós, os fortes, devemos suportar as fraquezas dos fracos e não agradar a nós mesmos.
2 Eche of vs plese to his neiybore in good, to edificacioun.
2 Cada um de nós agrade ao seu próximo para o seu bem e edificação.
3 For Crist pleside not to hym silf, as it is writun, The repreues of men dispisynge thee, felden on me.
3 Porque também Cristo não agradou a si mesmo, mas, como está escrito: Os insultos dos que te insultavam caíram sobre mim.
4 For what euere thingis ben writun, tho ben writun to oure techynge, that bi pacience and coumfort of scripturis we haue hope.
4 Porque todas as coisas que foram escritas anteriormente, para nosso ensino foram escritas, para que, pela paciência e consolação das escrituras, tenhamos esperança.
5 But God of pacience and of solace yyue to you to vndurstonde the same thing, ech in to othere aftir Jhesu Crist,
5 Ora, o Deus da paciência e da consolação vos conceda o mesmo sentimento uns para com os outros, segundo Jesus Cristo.
6 that ye of o wille with o mouth worschipe God and the fadir of oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
6 Para que, com uma só mente e uma só boca, glorifiqueis ao Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
7 For which thing take ye togidere, as also Crist took you in to the onour of God.
7 Portanto, recebei-vos uns aos outros, como também Cristo nos recebeu para glória de Deus.
8 For Y seie, that Jhesu Crist was a mynystre of circumcisioun for the treuthe of God, to conferme the biheestis of fadris.
8 Porque eu vos digo que Jesus Cristo foi ministro da circuncisão, por causa da verdade de Deus, para que confirmasse as promessas feitas aos pais.
9 And hethene men owen to onoure God for merci; as it is writun, Therfor, Lord, Y schal knowleche to thee among hethene men, and Y schal synge to thi name.
9 E para que os gentios glorifiquem a Deus por sua misericórdia, como está escrito: Por isto, eu te confessarei entre os gentios e cantarei ao teu nome.
10 And eft he seith, Ye hethene men, be ye glad with his puple.
10 E outra vez ele diz: Alegrai-vos, gentios, com seu povo.
11 And eft, Alle hethene men, herie ye the Lord; and alle puplis, magnefie ye hym.
11 E outra vez: Louvai ao Senhor, todos os gentios, e exaltai-o todos os povos.
12 And eft Isaie seith, Ther schal be a roote of Jesse, that schal rise vp to gouerne hethene men, and hethene men schulen hope in hym.
12 E outra vez diz Isaías: Haverá uma raiz em Jessé, e aquele que se levantar para reger os gentios; nele os gentios confiarão.
13 And God of hope fulfille you in al ioye and pees in bileuynge, that ye encrees in hope and vertu of the Hooli Goost.
13 Ora, o Deus de esperança vos encha de toda a alegria e paz em crer, para que abundeis em esperança por meio do poder do Espírito Santo.
14 And, britheren, Y my silf am certeyn of you, that also ye ben ful of loue, and ye ben fillid with al kunnyng, so that ye moun moneste ech other.
14 E eu mesmo, meus irmãos, tenho sido convencido a respeito de vós, de que também vós estais cheios de bondade, cheios de todo o conhecimento, capazes também para admoestar-vos uns aos outros.
15 And, britheren, more boldli Y wroot to you a parti, as bryngynge you in to mynde, for the grace that is youun to me of God,
15 Porém, irmãos, eu vos escrevi em alguns pontos ousadamente, para lembrá-los, por meio da graça que me foi dada por Deus,
16 that Y be the mynystre of Crist Jhesu among hethene men. And Y halewe the gospel of God, that the offryng of hethene men be acceptid, and halewid in the Hooli Goost.
16 que eu seja ministro de Jesus Cristo aos gentios, ministrando o evangelho de Deus, para que a oferta dos gentios seja aceitável, santificada pelo Espírito Santo.
17 Therfor Y haue glorie in Crist Jhesu to God.
17 Por isso, eu tenho que me gloriar em Jesus Cristo, nas coisas pertencentes a Deus.
18 For Y dar not speke ony thing of tho thingis, whiche Crist doith not bi me, in to obedience of hethene men, in word and dedis,
18 Porque eu não ousaria falar alguma coisa que Cristo não tenha feito por mim, para fazer dos gentios obedientes, por palavras e por obras,
19 in vertu of tokenes and grete wondris, in vertu of the Hooli Goost, so that fro Jerusalem bi cumpas to the Illirik see Y haue fillid the gospel of Crist.
19 pelo poder dos sinais e maravilhas, através do poder do Espírito de Deus; de maneira que, desde Jerusalém e arredores até o Ilírico, eu tenho pregado plenamente o evangelho de Cristo.
20 And so Y haue prechid this gospel, not where Crist was named, lest Y bilde vpon anotheres ground, but as it is writun,
20 E desta maneira me esforcei para pregar o evangelho, não onde Cristo houvera sido nomeado, para não edificar sobre fundamento de outro homem,
21 For to whom it is not teld of him, thei schulen se, and thei that herden not, schulen vndurstonde.
21 antes, como está escrito: Aqueles a quem ele não foi anunciado o verão, e os que não ouviram o entenderão.
22 For which thing Y was lettid ful myche to come to you, and Y am lettid to this tyme.
22 Razão pela qual também muitas vezes tenho sido impedido de ir até vós.
23 And now Y haue not ferthere place in these cuntrees, but Y haue desire to come to you, of many yeris that ben passid.
23 Mas agora, não tendo mais lugar nestas regiões, e tendo um grande desejo, há muitos anos, de chegar até vós,
24 Whanne Y bygynne to passe in to Spayne, Y hope that in my goyng Y schal se you, and of you Y schal be led thidur, if Y vse you first in parti.
24 quando eu viajar para a Espanha, irei até vós. Porque eu espero ver-vos na minha viagem, e para lá ser conduzido por vós pelo caminho, após ter primeiro desfrutado um pouco da vossa companhia.
25 Therfor now Y schal passe forth to Jerusalem, to mynystre to seyntis.
25 Mas agora eu vou para Jerusalém para ministrar aos santos.
26 For Macedonye and Acaie han assaied to make sum yifte to pore men of seyntis, that ben in Jerusalem.
26 Porque agradou aos da Macedônia e Acaia fazerem uma certa contribuição para os pobres dentre os santos que estão em Jerusalém.
27 For it pleside to hem, and thei ben dettouris of hem; for hethene men ben maad parteneris of her goostli thingis, thei owen also in fleischli thingis to mynystre to hem.
27 Isto lhes agradou de fato, e eles são seus devedores. Porque, se os gentios foram feitos participantes das suas coisas espirituais, também é seu dever ministrar-lhes as coisas carnais.
28 Therfor whanne Y haue endid this thing, and haue asigned to hem this fruyt, Y schal passe bi you in to Spayne.
28 Portanto, quando eu tiver completado isto, e lhes tiver selado este fruto, passando por vós, irei para a Espanha.
29 And Y woot, that Y comynge to you, schal come `in to the abundaunce of the blessing of Crist.
29 E sei que quando eu for até vós, chegarei com a plenitude da bênção do evangelho de Cristo.
30 Therfor, britheren, Y biseche you bi oure Lord Jhesu Crist, and bi charite of the Hooli Goost, that ye helpe me in youre preyeris to the Lord,
30 E agora eu suplico-vos, irmãos, por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo e pelo amor do Espírito, que luteis juntos comigo nas vossas orações a Deus por mim,
31 that Y be delyuerid fro the vnfeithful men, that ben in Judee, and that the offryng of my seruyce be acceptid in Jerusalem to seyntis;
31 para que eu seja livrado dos incrédulos que estão na Judeia, e que meu serviço em Jerusalém seja aceito pelos santos,
32 that Y come to you in ioye, bi the wille of God, and that Y be refreischid with you. And God of pees be with you alle. Amen.
32 para que eu chegue até vós com alegria pela vontade de Deus, e possa revigorar-me convosco.
