1 And the Lord seide to Moyses, Speke thou to preestis, the sones of Aaron, and thou schalt seie to hem, A preest be not defoulid in the deed men of hise citeseyns,
1 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: fala aos sacerdotes, filhos de Arão, e dize-lhes: ninguém se contaminará por causa do morto entre o seu povo,
2 no but oneli in kynesmen and niy of blood, that is, on fadir and modir, and sone and douyter,
2 salvo por seu parente mais próximo, ou seja, por sua mãe, e por seu pai, e por seu filho, e por sua filha, e por seu irmão,
3 and brother and sister, virgyn, which is not weddid to man;
3 e por sua irmã virgem, que é próxima a ele, que ainda não teve marido; por ela poderá ele ser contaminado.
4 but nether he schal be defoulid in the prince of his puple.
4 Mas ele não contaminará a si mesmo, sendo o principal homem entre o seu povo, para se profanar.
5 Preestis schulen not schaue the heed, nether beerd, nether thei schulen make keruyngis in her fleischis; thei schulen be hooli to her God,
5 Eles não farão calvície sobre a sua cabeça, nem rasparão os cantos da sua barba, nem farão cortes na sua carne.
6 and thei schulen not defoule his name; for thei offren encense of the Lord, and the looues of her God, and therfore thei schulen be hooli.
6 Eles serão santos para o seu Deus, e não profanarão o nome do seu Deus, porque as ofertas do SENHOR feitas por fogo, e o pão do seu Deus eles oferecem; portanto, eles serão santos.
7 A preest schal not wedde a wijf a corrupt womman, and a `foul hoore, nether he schal wedde `hir that is forsakun of the hosebonde, for he is halewid to his God,
7 Eles não tomarão mulher que é prostituta ou profana, nem tomarão mulher repudiada de seu marido, porque ele é santo para o seu Deus.
8 and offrith the looues of settyng forth; therfor be he hooly, for `Y am the hooli Lord that halewith you.
8 Portanto, tu o santificarás, pois ele oferece o pão do teu Deus; ele será santo para ti, porque eu, o SENHOR que vos santifica, sou santo.
9 If the `doutir of a preest is takun in defoulyng of virgynite, and defoulith the name of hir fadir, sche schal be brent in flawmes.
9 E a filha de qualquer sacerdote, se ela profanar-se, prostituindo-se, profana a seu pai; com fogo ela será queimada.
10 The bischop, that is the moost preest among hise britheren, on whose heed the oile of anoyntyng is sched, and whose hondis ben sacrid in preesthod, and he is clothid in hooli clothis, schal not diskyuere his heed, he schal not tere hise clothis,
10 E aquele que é o sumo sacerdote entre seus irmãos, sobre cuja cabeça foi derramado o óleo da unção, e que é consagrado para colocar as vestes, não descobrirá a sua cabeça, nem rasgará as suas vestes;
11 and outirli he schal not entre to ony deed man; and he schal not be defoulid on his fadir and modir,
11 e não se chegará a nenhum corpo morto, nem se contaminará por causa de seu pai, ou por sua mãe;
12 nether he schal go out of hooli thingis, lest he defoule the seyntuarie of the Lord, for the oile of hooli anoyntyng of his God is on hym; Y am the Lord.
12 nem sairá do santuário, para que não profane o santuário do seu Deus, porque a coroa do óleo da unção do seu Deus está sobre ele. Eu sou o SENHOR.
13 He schal wedde a wijf virgyn;
13 E ele tomará uma mulher na sua virgindade.
14 he schal not take a widewe, and forsakun, and a foul womman, and hoore, but a damesele of his puple;
14 Uma viúva, ou uma mulher divorciada, ou profana, ou uma prostituta, estas ele não tomará, mas ele tomará uma virgem de seu próprio povo por mulher.
15 medle he not the generacioun of his kyn to the comyn puple of his folk, for Y am the Lord, that `halewe hym.
15 Ele não profanará a sua semente entre os seus povos; porque eu, o SENHOR, o santifico.
16 And the Lord spak to Moyses,
16 E o SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo:
17 and seide, Speke thou to Aaron; a man of thi seed, bi meynes, that hath a wem, schal not offre breed to his God,
17 Fala a Arão, dizendo: Quem quer que seja da tua semente, nas suas gerações, que tiver algum defeito, não se aproximará para oferecer o pão do seu Deus.
18 nethir schal neiy to his seruyce;
18 Porque qualquer que seja o homem que tiver defeito não se aproximará: um homem cego, ou coxo, ou de nariz chato, ou com alguma coisa em excesso;
19 if he is blind; if he is crokid; if he is ether of litil, ether of greet, and wrong nose; if he is `of brokun foot, ethir hond;
19 ou homem que tiver o pé quebrado, ou a mão quebrada,
20 if he hath a botche; ether if he is blereiyed; if he hath whijt colour in the iye, that lettith the siyt; if he hath contynuel scabbe; if he hath a drye scabbe in the bodi; ethir `is brokun `in the pryuy membris.
20 ou corcunda, ou anão, ou que tiver defeito no olho, ou sarna, ou impigens, ou que tenha suas pedras quebradas.
21 Ech man of the seed of Aaron preest, which man hath a wem, schal not neiye to offre sacrifices to the Lord, nether `to offre looues to his God;
21 Nenhum homem da semente de Arão, o sacerdote, que tiver defeito, se chegará para oferecer as ofertas do SENHOR feitas por fogo; ele tem um defeito; não se chegará para oferecer o pão do seu Deus.
22 netheles he schal ete the looues that ben offrid in the seyntuarie,
22 Ele comerá o pão do seu Deus, tanto do santíssimo como do santo.
23 so oneli that he entre not with ynne the veil; he schal not neiye to the auter, for he hath a wem, and he schal not defoule my seyntuarie; Y am the Lord that halewe hem.
23 Ele apenas não entrará até ao véu, nem se chegará ao altar, porque ele tem um defeito; para que não profane os meus santuários; porque eu, o SENHOR, os santifico.
24 Therfor Moises spak to Aaron, and to hise sones, and to al Israel, alle thingis that weren comaundid to hym.
24 E Moisés falou isso a Arão, e a seus filhos, e a todos os filhos de Israel.
