1 And it was doon in the sixte yeer, in the sixte monethe, in the fyuethe dai of the monethe, Y sat in myn hous, and the elde men of Juda saten bifore me; and the hond of the Lord God felle there on me.
1 No sexto ano, no sexto mês, aos cinco dias do mês, quando eu estava sentado em minha casa e os anciãos de Judá estavam sentados diante de mim, aconteceu que ali a mão do Senhor Deus caiu sobre mim.
2 And Y siy, and lo! a licnesse as the biholdyng of fier; fro the biholding of hise leendis and bynethe was fier, and fro hise leendis and aboue was as the biholdyng of schynyng, as the siyt of electre.
2 Olhei, e eis uma figura como de um homem. Do que parecia ser a sua cintura e daí para baixo era fogo e, da cintura para cima, como o resplendor de metal brilhante.
3 And the licnesse of an hond was sent out, and took me bi the heer of myn heed; and the spirit reiside me bitwixe heuene and erthe, and brouyte me in to Jerusalem, in the siyt of God, bisidis the ynnere dore that bihelde to the north, where the idol of enuye was set, to stire indignacioun.
3 Ele estendeu algo em forma de mão e me pegou pelos cachos dos meus cabelos. O Espírito me levantou entre a terra e o céu e me levou a Jerusalém em visões de Deus, até a entrada do portão do pátio de dentro, que dá para o norte, onde estava colocada a imagem dos ciúmes, que provoca o ciúme de Deus.
4 And lo! the glorie of God of Israel was there, bi siyt which Y siy in the feeld.
4 Eis que ali estava a glória do Deus de Israel, como na visão que eu tive no vale.
5 And he seide to me, Thou, sone of man, reise thin iyen to the weie of the north; and Y reiside myn iyen to the weie of the north, and lo! fro the north of the yate of the auter the idol of enuye was in that entryng.
5 Ele me disse: — Filho do homem, olhe para o norte. Olhei para lá, e eis que do lado norte, junto ao portão do altar, na entrada, estava essa imagem dos ciúmes.
6 And he seide to me, Sone of man, gessist thou whether thou seest what thing these men doon, the grete abhomynaciouns whiche the hous of Israel doith here, that Y go fer awei fro my seyntuarie? and yit thou schalt turne, and schalt se grettere abhomynaciouns.
6 Então ele me disse: — Filho do homem, você vê o que eles estão fazendo? Veja as grandes abominações que a casa de Israel faz neste lugar, para que eu me afaste do meu santuário. Pois você ainda verá abominações maiores do que essas.
7 And he ledde me with ynne to the dore of the halle; and Y siy, and lo! oon hoole in the wal.
7 Ele me levou à entrada do átrio. Olhei, e eis que havia um buraco na parede.
8 And he seide to me, Sone of man, digge thou the wal; and whanne Y hadde diggid the wal, o dore apperide.
8 Então me disse: — Filho do homem, escave aquela parede. Escavei a parede, e eis que havia uma porta.
9 And he seide to me, Entre thou, and se the worste abhomynaciouns, whiche these men doon here.
9 Ele me disse: — Entre e veja as terríveis abominações que eles fazem aqui.
10 And Y entride, and siy; and lo! ech licnesse of `crepynge beestis, and abhomynacioun of beestis, and alle idols of the hous of Israel, weren peyntid in the wal al aboute in cumpas.
10 Entrei e olhei. Eis que na parede em todo o redor estavam gravadas figuras de animais que rastejam e de animais impuros e de todos os ídolos da casa de Israel.
11 And seuenti men of the eldere of the hous of Israel stoden; and Jeconye, the sone of Saphan, stood in the myddis of hem, stondynge bifore the peyntyngis; and ech man hadde a censere in his hond, and the smoke of a cloude of encense stiede.
11 Em pé diante deles estavam setenta homens dos anciãos da casa de Israel, com Jazanias, filho de Safã, no meio deles. Cada um tinha na mão o seu incensário; e subia uma nuvem de incenso.
12 And he seide to me, Certis, sone of man, thou seest what thingis the eldere men of the hous of Israel doen in derknessis, ech man in the hid place of his bed; for thei seiyn, The Lord seeth not vs, the Lord hath forsake the lond.
12 Então me disse: — Filho do homem, você está vendo o que os anciãos da casa de Israel fazem nas trevas, cada um na sua sala de imagens? Pois dizem: “O
13 And the Lord seide to me, Yit thou schalt turne, and schalt se gretter abhomynaciouns, whiche these men doon.
13 Também me disse: — Você verá abominações ainda maiores, que eles estão fazendo.
14 And he ledde me with ynne, bi the dore of the yate of the hous of the Lord, which dore bihelde to the north; and lo! wymmen saten there, biweilynge Adonydes.
14 Levou-me à entrada do portão norte da Casa do Senhor , e eis que estavam ali mulheres assentadas chorando pelo deus Tamuz.
15 And the Lord seide to me, Certis, sone of man, thou hast seyn; yit thou schalt turne, and schalt se gretere abhomynaciouns than these.
15 Ele me disse: — Você está vendo isso, filho do homem? Você verá abominações ainda maiores do que estas.
16 And he ledde me with ynne, in to the ynnere halle of the hous of the Lord; and lo! in the dore of the temple of the Lord, bitwixe the porche and the auter, weren as fyue and twenti men hauynge the backis ayens the temple of the Lord, and her faces to the eest; and thei worschipiden at the risyng of the sunne.
16 Levou-me para o átrio de dentro da Casa do Senhor . E eis que ali, junto à entrada do templo do Senhor , entre o pórtico e o altar, estavam cerca de vinte e cinco homens, de costas para o templo do Senhor e com o rosto voltado para o leste; adoravam o sol, virados para o leste.
17 And the Lord seide to me, Certis, sone of man, thou hast seyn; whether this is a liyt thing to the hous of Juda, that thei schulden do these abhomynaciouns, whiche thei diden here? For thei filliden the lond with wickidnesse, and turneden to terre me to wraththe; and lo! thei applien a braunche to her nose thirlis.
17 Então me disse: — Você está vendo, filho do homem? Será que é pouca coisa para a casa de Judá o fato de fazerem as abominações que fazem aqui, para que ainda encham de violência a terra e tornem a irritar-me? Eis que eles chegam o ramo ao seu nariz.
18 Therfor and Y schal do in strong veniaunce; myn iye schal not spare, nether Y schal do merci; and whanne thei schulen crie to myn eris with greet vois, Y schal not here hem.
18 Por isso, também eu os tratarei com furor. Os meus olhos não terão piedade, e eu não os pouparei. Ainda que gritem aos meus ouvidos em alta voz, nem assim os ouvirei.
