1 And it was doon in the sixte yeer, in the sixte monethe, in the fyuethe dai of the monethe, Y sat in myn hous, and the elde men of Juda saten bifore me; and the hond of the Lord God felle there on me.
1 E, sucedeu no sexto ano, no sexto mês, no quinto dia do mês, eu sentei na minha casa, e os anciãos de Judá sentados diante de mim, a mão do Senhor DEUS caiu ali sobre mim.
2 And Y siy, and lo! a licnesse as the biholdyng of fier; fro the biholding of hise leendis and bynethe was fier, and fro hise leendis and aboue was as the biholdyng of schynyng, as the siyt of electre.
2 Então, eu contemplei, e eis uma semelhança como a aparência de fogo; desde a aparência dos seus lombos para baixo, era fogo; e dos seus lombos para cima como a aparência de brilho, como a cor de âmbar.
3 And the licnesse of an hond was sent out, and took me bi the heer of myn heed; and the spirit reiside me bitwixe heuene and erthe, and brouyte me in to Jerusalem, in the siyt of God, bisidis the ynnere dore that bihelde to the north, where the idol of enuye was set, to stire indignacioun.
3 E pôs a forma de uma mão, e tomou-me por um cacho da minha cabeça; e o Espírito me levantou entre a terra e o céu, e me trouxe nas visões de Deus para Jerusalém, à porta do portão interno que olha em direção ao norte, onde estava o assento da imagem do ciúme, que provoca para ciúmes.
4 And lo! the glorie of God of Israel was there, bi siyt which Y siy in the feeld.
4 E, eis que a glória do Deus de Israel estava ali, de acordo com a visão que eu vi na planície.
5 And he seide to me, Thou, sone of man, reise thin iyen to the weie of the north; and Y reiside myn iyen to the weie of the north, and lo! fro the north of the yate of the auter the idol of enuye was in that entryng.
5 Então, ele me disse: Filho do homem, levanta os teus olhos agora em direção ao norte. Assim eu levantei os meus olhos para o caminho em direção ao norte, e eis que ao norte, no portão do altar, estava esta imagem de ciúme na entrada.
6 And he seide to me, Sone of man, gessist thou whether thou seest what thing these men doon, the grete abhomynaciouns whiche the hous of Israel doith here, that Y go fer awei fro my seyntuarie? and yit thou schalt turne, and schalt se grettere abhomynaciouns.
6 E disse, além disso, para mim: Filho do homem, vês tu o que eles fazem? As grandes abominações que a casa de Israel comete aqui, para que me afaste do meu santuário? Mas vira-te ainda novamente, e tu verás maiores abominações.
7 And he ledde me with ynne to the dore of the halle; and Y siy, and lo! oon hoole in the wal.
7 E trouxe-me à porta do átrio; e quando eu olhei, eis um buraco na parede.
8 And he seide to me, Sone of man, digge thou the wal; and whanne Y hadde diggid the wal, o dore apperide.
8 Então, disse-me: Filho do homem, cava agora na parede. E quando eu tinha cavado na parede, eis uma porta.
9 And he seide to me, Entre thou, and se the worste abhomynaciouns, whiche these men doon here.
9 E me disse: Entra, e contempla as perversas abominações que eles fazem aqui.
10 And Y entride, and siy; and lo! ech licnesse of `crepynge beestis, and abhomynacioun of beestis, and alle idols of the hous of Israel, weren peyntid in the wal al aboute in cumpas.
10 Assim, eu entrei e vi, e eis toda a forma de coisas rastejantes, e animais abomináveis, e todos os ídolos da casa de Israel, retratados na parede ao redor.
11 And seuenti men of the eldere of the hous of Israel stoden; and Jeconye, the sone of Saphan, stood in the myddis of hem, stondynge bifore the peyntyngis; and ech man hadde a censere in his hond, and the smoke of a cloude of encense stiede.
11 E lá estavam em pé diante deles setenta homens dos anciãos da casa de Israel, e no meio deles estava Jaazanias, filho de Safã, e com cada homem o seu incensário em sua mão; e uma espessa nuvem de incenso subia.
12 And he seide to me, Certis, sone of man, thou seest what thingis the eldere men of the hous of Israel doen in derknessis, ech man in the hid place of his bed; for thei seiyn, The Lord seeth not vs, the Lord hath forsake the lond.
12 Então, ele me disse: Filho do homem, viste o que os anciãos da casa de Israel fazem no escuro, cada homem nas câmaras de suas imagens? Pois eles dizem: O SENHOR não nos vê; o SENHOR abandonou a terra.
13 And the Lord seide to me, Yit thou schalt turne, and schalt se gretter abhomynaciouns, whiche these men doon.
13 Ele também me disse: Vira-te ainda novamente, e tu verás maiores abominações, que eles fazem.
14 And he ledde me with ynne, bi the dore of the yate of the hous of the Lord, which dore bihelde to the north; and lo! wymmen saten there, biweilynge Adonydes.
14 Então, ele me trouxe à porta do portão da casa do SENHOR, que estava em direção ao norte, e eis que lá estavam assentadas mulheres chorando por Tamuz.
15 And the Lord seide to me, Certis, sone of man, thou hast seyn; yit thou schalt turne, and schalt se gretere abhomynaciouns than these.
15 Então, ele disse-me: Tu viste isto, ó filho do homem? Vira-te ainda novamente, e tu verás maiores abominações do que estas.
16 And he ledde me with ynne, in to the ynnere halle of the hous of the Lord; and lo! in the dore of the temple of the Lord, bitwixe the porche and the auter, weren as fyue and twenti men hauynge the backis ayens the temple of the Lord, and her faces to the eest; and thei worschipiden at the risyng of the sunne.
16 E ele trouxe-me para o átrio interior da casa do SENHOR, e eis que à porta do templo do SENHOR, entre o pórtico e o altar, estavam cerca de vinte e cinco homens, com suas costas voltadas para o templo do SENHOR, e com suas faces em direção ao leste; e eles adoravam o sol em direção ao leste.
17 And the Lord seide to me, Certis, sone of man, thou hast seyn; whether this is a liyt thing to the hous of Juda, that thei schulden do these abhomynaciouns, whiche thei diden here? For thei filliden the lond with wickidnesse, and turneden to terre me to wraththe; and lo! thei applien a braunche to her nose thirlis.
17 Então, ele me disse: Tu viste isto, ó filho do homem? É isto uma coisa leve para a casa de Judá que eles cometam as abominações que cometem aqui? Porque encheram a terra de violência, e voltaram a me provocar a ira; e eis que eles põem o ramo ao seu nariz.
18 Therfor and Y schal do in strong veniaunce; myn iye schal not spare, nether Y schal do merci; and whanne thei schulen crie to myn eris with greet vois, Y schal not here hem.
18 Portanto, eu também tratarei com fúria; o meu olho não poupará, nem terei pena; e embora clamem aos meus ouvidos em alta voz, ainda assim eu não os ouvirei.
